Dani POV
2 weeks later, Karina was not ill anymore and my relief was let out.
It was currently 2am and I was out on a late night drive by myself. The traffic lights where green so I started driving, I saw lights coming from beside me and a horn hocking from a truck. The next thing I know was everything went black.
Eva POV
Dani has been gone over 4 hours. I've been up waiting for her. It's nearly 6am and I'm exhausted but I'm waiting for my best friend. I waited and waited and waited. I ended up falling asleep on the couch and the next thing was I was getting woken up by Mads.
"Hey Eva, what you doing sleeping down here?" She asks me. I look at her "is Dani home?" I asked finally waking myself up properly. She shakes her head in confusion. "Why?" "She went out around one this morning and hasn't come back" I replied worried. I got up out my seat and tried to phone her. Voicemail. Damn it!
"NOO!!!" I heard someone scream, mads and I looked at each other in confusion and rushed to who scream. It was Karina. She was crying so hard. "What?! What's happened?" Anna asked running in with Dom, Dev and Emma.
"Da-Dani is in the h-hospital" she cried out. I stood there crying. "Okay let's go to the hospital" Emma replied breaking the silence that was going on. We all rushed to the hospital. We got to the hospital Dom and dev were comforting Karina while mads, Emma and Anna were comforting me. Katie ran to the desk and ask for Dani.
"Room 727" she replied we all ran to the room, the door was open, wires and wires all over her. I couldn't help it but let more tears run down my face. We all walked in. Karina sat beside her while the rest of sat on the couch except Dom.
"Hey dummy, I know you can't hear me but please be okay. I can't lose my best friend" she sobbed holding Dani's hand. Dom and Dani have been best-friends since the age of 4. They went to school together, they were always together. Well that's what Dani told me. I believe her because she is my friend.
Dani is best-friends with everyone in the house. The doctor walked in and looked at us. "Who's Karina Prieto?" She asked and Karina stood up "me, I'm Karina" she said while tears where still falling down her cheeks. "Okay, we don't think Dani is going to make it. She's got a bleeding on the brain and when someone found her her breathing was really slow. We managed to pump her lungs again with oxygen. But I'm sorry you might have to say your final words to her" she said slowly and walks out the room.
"Nah this is not happening. Dani is all our best-friend. She will not die. We all need her. We all need her jokes. The girl who cheers us up when we're in bad moods. The girl who will do anything for us. The girl who always had drama to spill. The girl who looks out for all of us. No she cannot die" Katie shouted until I dragged her to my chest to hug her. "No she can't die Eva. She can't" I stay silent and let the tears fall.
We waited in the room for another 3 hours. Dani's heart monitor was still going. Her heart beat racing then slowing again.
Dev walked out the room to phone Dani's parents. Mads went home with Emma to get the boys. Anna was sleeping on the couch. Katie fell asleep on top of me. Karina was asleep on the chair but her was resting on Dani's hip bone. And Dom was playing with Anna's hair. This is hard.
Dev walked back in and I looked at her "what did her parents say?" I questioned. "They're crying a lot. I heard Jamie tell Madison and then all I could hear was her screaming and crying. Her other two brothers are also crying. They're gonna try and get here. If she does die they want us lot to plan her funeral" she gave me a fake smile. She was hurting a lot. I looked over at Dom and she was silently crying still playing with Anna's hair.
"You okay Dom?" I ask her, Katie started to move but was still asleep. She placed her head in my neck. "Yeah, I guess. Just my childhood best-friend is gonna die soon and I can't talk to her ever again. I won't be able to talk to her about the drama back in Newcastle, I can't talk to her face to face. I can't talk to her about girls. The only way to talk to her is to her grave" she looked at me her eyes were puffy. But weren't all of ours.
Dani's pov
I was in a white room. Nothing just white walls. I saw a light flash right in my face then disappeared then again. It must of done it around 7 times until a giant light was in my face. I walked to the light and was pulled into it by something. I got up off the ground and noticed I was in Newcastle. I looked over at the bench and there stood my grandma.
"Grandma? Is that you?" I asked walking towards her. "Hey Dani, yes it is me" she smiles and hugs me. "Wait how, you're de- wait am I dead?" I asked scared. I didn't know what was happening. "No baby, you're not dead, you're still alive" she pulled away from the hug and looked at me.
"My god my granddaughter is a beautiful woman" I smile at her "w-what happened?" I started to cry "you got into a car accident a drunk truck driver ran a red light and crashed into you, the drunk truck driver was locked up but he's escaped this morning, but you my beautiful angel, you're going to go back in that hospital and wake up" she responded wiping away my tears.
I could hear people talking I look around and saw no one there was only my grandma and I. "Who's talking?" I asked getting a bit scared. "Your friends darling, there in the hospital waiting for you. But the doctor told them you're going to die. Karina, Anna, Katie, dev, Dom, Sab and Eva are staying in the room with you." She smiles looking through a monitor to see all the girls. "Where's mads and Emma?" Two of my best-friends weren't with me. That hurts. "They went to go break the news to the boys, they didn't want to go but they needed to explain what's happening with you" I smile looking at Karina holding my hand while she was asleep on my hip.
"You really love her don't you?" I nod my head letting the tears fall "we have a mission to do Daniella" I look at her "the drunk driver knew you were out and he purposely ran into you, anyone by the name of Shannon?" She asks as we sit down on the bench "yeah she's my brothers ex wife. Madisons mother" I was confused why did she want to kill me? Why did she hate me so much?
"We'll you're gonna have to come with me, you're body is going to shut down, the doctors are helping with that, so the police can catch Shannon, you're gonna be put into a coma for a bit. But I'll be with you the whole time until you wake up" The sadness turns to a small smile. "Thanks grandma. But the girls are going to be so lost without me. I hope Karina doesn't move on. I just want to go and hug her and the girls" I wiped the tears from my cheeks
"I know darling, but hopefully it won't be long" she smiles. I return the smile. "Let your body shut down darling" she grabs my hand and gives it a tight squeeze.
Karina pov
I currently woke up to the heart monitor. She's dead "NO NO SHE CANT NO!" I screamed making Katie and Anna shoot up from their sleep and all the girls running to Dani and I. Dom lost it and ran out the room. I don't know where she went. "I love you Dani. I'll miss you so much" dev said. She kissed Dani's head and ran out the room crying, she must be going to look for Dom.
Katie fell to the floor crying. I heard her sob. Dani was close to all of us. The doctors ran in and told us to go home. Katie and I put up a fight. We both wanted to stay with Dani. But Anna picked me up and Eva picked Katie up and took us to the car.
"She's gone.. my girlfriend/ best friend is gone" I cried into Anna. Everyone was silently crying on the way home. When we got home, Katie ran to her room and I ran to mine. I didn't want anyone. I wanted Dani.
Anna's pov
When we got home Katie and Karina ran to there rooms. This has been the worst day ever. Finding out my best friend has gone. Eva and I went and sat on the couch, Emma and mads went to kitchen. Their eyes where swollen. Dev and Dom walked through the door and sat with Eva and I, Emma and mads soon came and sat on the opposite couch where Sab was.
"Can we watched the videos of Dani what she made for all of us? And her music" Mads asked. I nooses my head and played the videos on the PlayStation of Dani.
"Hey boonie" I smile as Dani was on the screen with me "don't tell anyone this but I'm gay" we all laugh. Dani was always the child of the group, she may of been the 3rd oldest but she always was the child. The video came up with her singing a song to Karina.

We all smile. She was one talented girl. Katie soon came downstairs and sat on Eva's lap watching the videos with us with a weak smile. She really was close to Dani. We all were. Katie and Eva ain't dating, just theres no room on the couch and she doesn't like sitting on the floor and besides. Eva is like a comfy pillow.
"I miss her" Dom mutters under her breath. I put my hand on top of hers and looked at her with sorry eyes. Thats what we did for the rest of the night. Was to watch Dani on the videos. Laughing a little at the funny moments of her. Karina didn't come down tonight but I hope she'll cope well soon.
I cried making this
