I am robbed of my sleep,

Of the people I meet, of the places I see, of the comfort I feel.
Waking up is thievery
And the thief is me.
Sleep is a tyrannical king
Ruling over my time
But once you fall asleep
Waking up is a crime
It rules over my work, my body, my thoughts

It rules over what could be mine.
So in conclusion, balance is key
I no longer am, afraid to be
Robbed by waking up, ruled by sleep
Because I get to experience life in between
