Fuck what have I done. I should have known that son of a bitch was lying. I've just broken up with the person I love most in this world without even letting her get a word in. And on top of that, the bastard is now sending me to deliver Meliorn to the City of Bones.
I really messed up this time.

"Let me get this straight... you need Alecs stele to open his safe and you want me to steal it from him?" Magnus asks us
"Yes"
"Fine, as long as you promise to sort things out with him as soon as you get back" Magnus says to me
"I'll try Mag"
The warlock goes off to get the stele, and in no time at all it appears on top of alecs safe. Jace runs it over the rune and gets the cup and Clary's necklace, before shutting it again.
"Might wanna pick up the pace" Jace says turning to Izzy and I
"Don't. I just went behind Alecs back and he broke up with me. I am not in the mood" I hiss at him while stringing my arrows over my back and grabbing my bow.
"Yeah and you do not wanna be on my bad side right now. Meliorn is here because of me"
"You gonna be okay? Both of you?"
"The whole world is turning upside down. Simon turned into a vampire. Now Meliorn might die because of something I-"
"Isabelle it's not anything you did" I say
"And you?"
"Right now I don't see myself ever being happy again but I'd rather just focus on getting Meliorn out"
"Let's do this" Izzy says as we leave the institute.
We're in for a longggg night.

We soon arrive at the Hotel Dumort, where Clary, Simon and Luke were.
"Hey thank god your okay" Jace says as he pulls Clary into a hug, "so this is your safe hideout huh?"
"Well you think the clave was gonna look here?"
"Can we please focus on the matter at hand" Izzy shouts, "unless no one here cares that the clave is planning on murdering Meliorn"
"What!"
"What!"
"They think Meliorn has more information on Valentine and his attack" Jace explains
"They're taking him to the Silent Brothers" I add
"We have to stop them!"
"That's the plan Clary. Rescue and recovery"
"We get him from the guards. In and out, no one gets hurt" iz says
"You want US to go up against the Silent Brothers? And the lead shadow hunter guard unit!"
"Without any backup?" Luke questions
"Pretty much sums it up yeah" I joke
"Is Alec coming?"
"No Clary he's not" I mutter
"If they're doing this to seelies, no down worlder is safe. But we can't go in alone, not if we don't wanna be detected" The redhead says
"My pack will track the unit. Create a distraction"
"I would suggest vampires but... I doubt they'll cooperate" Simon adds
"I hate to agree with Simon. Vamps arnt exactly team plays" Jace says
"Let me talk to Raphael" I say
"We're offering an alliance" I say stepping up to Raph and a few other vamps, "with the seelies and the werewolves"
"Why should we believe you? You hate us"
"I don't hate you Raphael. You made one mistake and I'm over it. I'm also ready to start fresh"
"I'll do it. On one condition"
"Yes?"
"Friends?" He whispers
"But of course" I say with a small smile as he pulls me in for a hug
"Then we're in" he smirks

We make our way to the down worlders entrance to the City of Bones, alongside the werewolves and the vampires.
"Everyone knows what to do?" I shout
"Text when your in position" Jace says
"Stay. Good dog"
"Bite me"
"Roll over"
"Play dead"
"Boom!" Simon says, fist bumping Luke after his bicker with Raphael.
"Enough! Enough" I shout as they advance towards eachother, "all of our lives are at stake. It's time we put aside our differences and work together. Tonight we're all down worlders. Luke? Raphael?" I ask them to agree, earning a nod from both of them.
This is also going to be a long day.
"Let's do this" I hear izzy say
Clary and Jace and I wait together, while Izzy heads off with Luke and Raph. Once they'd finished their little talk, we head up to the stairs and look over the entrance, waiting for the guards.
"What the hell?" I gasp
"Alec, what's he doing here?" Clary ask
"Damnit. Lucas must have sent him"
"Lucas?"
"Alecs best bud. Don't ask Clary"
"Just say the word Lil and we'll call this whole thing off"
"No. There's no turning back now. Just whatever happens. Follow my lead"
"One thing, don't let Alec know your here if you want any chance of saving your relationship" Jace says
"Fine. But you do what you have to do Jace I mean it"
"This could be a trap. Secure the perimeter do it now!" I hear Alec shout as the wolves begin to growl.
Izzy and vamps snatch the remaining guards away from Alec, leaving him alone with Meliorn.
"Alec!" Clary shouts, he looks at her but soon decides to try to go through the entrance. Only Jace blocks it.
"You told me you were taking Clary back to the institute. You lied to me Jace"
"I did what needed to be done"
"Alec the clave has gone to far" Clary says, "you have to see that please just let Meliorn go"
"I have my orders-"
"You and your damn orders who cares about orders!"
"See. That's how little you know about being a shadow Hunter. You couldn't possibly-"
"It's you that doesn't understand Alec. Not this time" Jace cuts him off
"I'm really sorry" Jace says before pushing Alec to the ground as he try's to walk towards the entrance again
"Clary Meliorn go" he shouts as the two begin to fight
"You always broke the rules. But never the law, not until Clary showed up" Alec gasps breathlessly
"You've had it out for Clary since the start. And now your engagements off Alec. We both know what this is about!"
"Oh do we? Okay then why doesn't the legend Jace Wayland tell us what it's about-"
"It's about Lily! It's about your feeling it's because your in love with her and you just made the worst mistake of your life-" Jace shouts as Alec manages get out from his grip and throw him across the room.
Stumbling to their feet, they throw multiple jabs and punches at each other, every time hitting their target. They continue to fight and beat each other until Alec has Jace pressed against the ground with his seraph blade pressed to his neck.
"Do it! Do it! I don't wanna be alive if we're on different sides Alec"
Reluctantly, the raven eyed boy let Jace up but he stayed sat on the ground, staring into nothing.
"Come with me. We'll fight Valentine the right way, together"
"If we do that well be considered traitors like mom and dad"
"I'm begging you. My parabatai, my brother please Alec come with me" Jace begs
"No" and just like that my heart shattered

"I underestimated you Isabelle" Meliorn says
"Is that a thank you?"
"In the seelie world it is" he says as he leans in and kisses Isabelle
"Third wheeling much" I mutter under my breath
"I hate to break up this reunion Izzy but we have to go" Jace says, Izzy and Meliorn pull apart
"I need to get back to the institute and see what hell has broken loose" Izzy says and I agree
