Taehyung Pov
I couldn't stand the wait any longer, so I excused myself from the restaurant and stepped outside to calm down. I knew I had to find a way to cancel this arranged marriage; I wouldn't give up on Y/N without a fight.
Y/N's POV
As we entered the restaurant, my mother greeted her friend with a warm hug. I followed suit, bowing respectfully. We took our seats, and the conversation flowed. Eventually, my mom asked about the son of her friend.
Mom: Umm, where is your son?
Taehyung's Mom: Oh, he's right over there... Ah, there he is!
I turned to look, and there he was – Taehyung – with a mixture of shock and amusement on his face. He burst into laughter upon seeing me. What was wrong with him? Why was he laughing?
He made his way to our table and took a seat opposite me, still trying to suppress his laughter. Taehyung's mother introduced him as her son, Taehyung. I was in shock. Was he the son of my mom's friend? The situation became more surreal when they began talking about our marriage.
Mom: When should we arrange their marriage? (I choked on my food)
Taehyung's Mom: Be careful, dear. (She patted my back)
Me: Whose marriage?
Taehyung's Mom: Oh, didn't you tell her? (She glanced at my mom) Well, I'll explain it. Y/N, dear, you're getting married to my son, Taehyung.
WHAT? I looked at Taehyung, who seemed calm. Did he know about this all along? I glared at him, but he met my gaze calmly.
Mom: It's true, dear. You're marrying Taehyung. Let's leave them alone for a bit to talk. (They left us)
Alone now, I awaited Taehyung's response.
Taehyung: Don't look at me like that. I didn't know you were my mom's friend's daughter.
Me: Cancel this marriage.
Taehyung: No way. Why should I? Do it yourself.
Me: I can't disobey them.
Taehyung: Then marry me.
Taehyung Pov
Entering the restaurant, I found myself surrounded by unfamiliar faces. My mom greeted an old friend, and her daughter caught my eye. It was Y/N. Suppressing my laughter, I sat down across from her, my heart pounding.
.....
I chuckled, my laughter finally escaping.
Fate had its own plan – I was going to marry the love of my life.
I focused on Y/N as they left us alone.
Y/N's POV
I left him behind, feeling anger and helplessness. I had no choice but to agree to this marriage.
A Few Days Later...
We were wedding gown shopping, accompanied by my mother and my future mother-in-law. I was left with no option but to accept this marriage, putting my parents' happiness above my own.
In the Car...
Taehyung's Mom: Y/N dear, my son is innocent. He knows nothing but family and work. He's always been hardworking, studying late into the night even when we told him not to. He's also helped us a lot with farming. Even though he's now a CEO, he's still a child at heart. Please take care of him.
I smiled at her reassurance, promising to take care of Taehyung.
However, forgiving him wasn't on my mind just yet.
