Shattered hearts by the window-sill
Cradling promises bitterly betrayed,
Futile concoctions of solitude from withdrawal
Shadow of a broken sky overhead.
And nothing but unveiled resentment
for those dainty silken threads -
that traversed from a lover to another's heart
and yet turned theirs to shreds.
The black swallowed the ultramarine,
of a m o o n l i t night-
And shone some cynic's fireballs
And laved some in love and light.
