Another day...another life...
And of course,it means another losing game for Player. It's nothing new,days are always the same,boring and bland.
Player sighs,while looking at his own reflection in the mirror. His hair is messy,and his skin is pale. His chocolate brown eyes looked dull,like it doesnt have a single light. Good description for a pathetic boy.
"Hufft,i'm never gonna win arent i? Even after i tried very hard,i still never win...."
Sometimes he imagines that he actually win for once,sometimes he imagines he standing on the top of the world,screaming "I WIN" until he can't breath,sometimes he imagines to be reborn and become a better person.
But of course,it is just a dream,and nothing more.
"Heya Player,how's your day goin'?" Veteran asks,while leaning on the door.
"Like usual,it will be another losing day" Player exclaims,while staring blankly at veteran.
"Hey,dude. Don't starin at me like that,and don't say that,i'm sure you'll get your victory soon Player." Veteran walks to player,then put his hand on player's shoulder.
"I dunno vet,i'm starting to losing hope over myself. I wish i could win for once,but that will never come true...."
"Cheer up,bud. Come on,we'll get some victories ahead today!" Veteran said,while dragging player out of his bedroom.
"Thanks vet,you always know how to cheer me up."

Player and Veteran walks to cafeteria,while chatting about a game they've been playing for a while.
"And then this bear-robot guy appears behind me and then- BOOM!!! It catches me."
"Heh,it must be a real jumpscare over there."
"Of course it is. I definitely can't forget it's scary face when it-"
"Heya Bestie!!"
Their story are interrupted by Captain,who currently are hugging Player.
"Um...hello Captain." Player said,he's getting uncomfortable with the hug.
"Hey,Cap. Can't you see that Player getting uncomfortable with the hug?"
Captain gasps,then releases Player until he falls to the floor.
"Oh my God! What a horrible friend i am! I'm so sorry Player! I promise to not hug you too tightly next time!" Captain said,while offering his hand to Player.
Player takes his hand,then stand up.
"It's okay Captain"
"Okay,i think i need to go. Stoner needs me for his medicine project. See ya Bestie!" Then he runs somewhere.
"Well,he's lucky i'm not mad at him. Next time he does that to you,he'll be dead while he stands" Angrily Veteran startes at Captain who is running.
"Eh heh,yeah... Well,why don't we go to cafeteria. The game starts soon,and we haven't eat anything"
"Oh,okay! Let's go!!"

"Aaarghh- why am i so BAD at this shitty game?!"
Of course,like you guys expected,he loses yet again,it's not a surprise to be honest.
"It's okay Player. You'll win a game soon. I know it will happen."
"But Vet,it's been nine months,NINE FUCKING MONTHS SINCE I PLAY THIS GAME,AND I HAVEN'T WIN A SINGLE FUCKING GAME!!!"
Player screams and bangs his head on the table.
"Uh..Pla-"
"I'M JEALOUS TO MR. CHEESE BECAUSE HE'S NEVER LOSE A SINGLE GAME!!! I'M JEALOUS TO CAPTAIN BECAUSE EVEN IF HE'S AN IDIOT,HE STILL GOT A WIN!!!!"
"Play-"
"I'M JEALOUS TO THE READER OUT HERE BECAUSE ATLEAST THEY HAVE A WIN,EVEN IF IT JUST ONCE!!!"
"Who-"
"AND I'M JEALOUS TO YOU,BECAUSE YOU ALWAYS WIN!!!"
Veteran shocked,his eyes widen,while staring at Player.
"Did you mean it?"
"I mean it...Vet. Just,just look at me.... I'm nothing more than a loser... A loser,Vet..." Player says,as the beautiful warm liquid rolls down his face.
"Veteran,please be honest to me... Will i ever win?" There's a hint of hopelessness and despair in his voice. Veteran couldn't help but wiping the tears on Player's face.
"Of course you will Player... You'll get that sweet victory someday.... And i promise to stay by your side until that happens. Trust me... Player." Veteran assured him,then pulls Player into a hug.
"*sniff*, thank you,Veteran."

Player wake up after having a nightmare. It's not a surprise for him,since he has a nightmare almost every night,but still....
"Huh... These nightmares still exist even after i defeated No-visor? Guess the whole world just stops when i didn't have one." Player mused to him self.
He looked at the clock,its currently 3 Am here.
"Well,guess who wake up at 3 am just for doing nothing to the morning... It's me...." He mused again at him self,while wiping the tears that rolls down his face.
Wait,since when he had been crying?
Well,it doesnt matter now,all he have to do is to take a walk somewhere,relaxing himself.

The stars tonight is very beautiful.
It shines very bright in the dark sky.
Each star has it's own uniqueness and light. Some of them shines very bright,other will looked very big,some of them resembles a shape that has it's own meaning.
He wishes that he could be a star someday. He wishes that he could shine so bright it could blind people.
He wishes that he could atleast brighten someone's day.
But of course,it had to be another dream come untrue.
"Well,why would i dream too high and living on a fake fantasy? I should've realized that i will never escape this nightmare forever...."
Player sit on the floor,while looking at the sky. He always imagined he could fly around the sky,and become one of them. Guess that's one good thing that could happen when you become an astronaut.
"What are you doing here,Player?"
Player turned his head,seeing Veteran leaning on wall while crossing his arm on his chest.
"Well,guess what people at 3 am would do?" Player replies,while rolling his eyes.
"3 am people doing 3 am activities. Yup,i think that make sense,since i'm also a 3 am person." Veteran walks to Player and sit beside him.
"What about you? What are you doing this early?"
"Well,guess what people at 3 am would do?" Veteran replies sarcastically,while playfully rolling his eyes.
"Huh,sarcasm. Very beautiful." Player punches Veteran's shoulder playfully,only for Veteran to punch his shoulder back.
Both of them fall into an unpleasant silence. They feel awkwardness around each other.
And it's not good.
"Um... But seriously,why are you awake at 3 am? Do you have another nightmare?" Veteran asks,still looking at the sky.
"Well,how do you know i have a nightmare?"
"Cmon' Player,i'm your best friend. Of course i know. Besides your face says it all." Veteran points out.
Player felt something roll down his face. He wipes it,and of course,it had to be another pathetic tear.
"Heh... I'm too predictable aren't i?" And with that,Player started to cry silently.

Veteran POV
Player cried silently. It made my heart sliced in half. I didn't want him to cry,but i know he really need a moment,so i let him cry.
He is so fragile,so small,always putting his self worth on winning so much,it affect him mentally. I didn't really knew what happened to him,but i think he has through so much.
Still.....
"Shush... It's okay Player,i'm here...." I tried to reassure Player to calm him down. But it didn't worked.
"No..no... I tried every way to win a single game. I have tried everything. But the results? What i've got? Just another losing game. "

Why did you keep breaking my heart like this?
I run out of ideas,i didn't know how to cheer him up. I've tried every way,but it makes him even depressed.
I almost give up until...
I finally find a way to cheer him up.
"Hey,Player. Mind following me for a second?"
Player looked at me, tears flowing down his face. He looked very confused.
"Um... Where are we going to?"
"Come on,just follow me for a second!" I take his hand and force him to follow me. He hesitated at first but he gave up seconds later.

We running around the skeld,finding the main door. After we found it,we come out from skeld and goes somewhere.
He'll like this surprise.
"Shi- Veteran! Where are we going? Slow down please!"
"Veteran! I didn't know you could run as fast as a horse! You're fat but you run so fast!"
"Vet! Why did you keep ignoring me? What if i'll fall and get hurt??"
Hufft. I know he's a complainer but i never knew he'll be complaining this much.
"Just shut up and keep running okay?!"
I shouted at him,really loud. He stops seconds later. Huh,i guess that Will silence him.
Who knows when he'll complain again.
We keep running until....
Player tripped on a rock.
And we both fall to the ground.
With Player on top of me.
I tried to hide my blush,but i can't. I'm sure my face is as red as a tomato right now.
We stay still like that for a while. Suddenly Player's face became closer... And closer....
And....
He stands up.
"I'm so sorry,Veteran." Player said as he offers his hand and tried to hide his face. Its obvious he is blushing.
And i like it.
I take his hand and stands up. Obviously while i hide my blush.
"Y-yeah.. i-its fine.... so.... shall we continue?"
"O-okay.... And let's never speak of this again"

Author POV.
This time. They take a walk,silent walk. No one talk to each other after that incident. What an awkward situation.
Someone should break the silence.
"Veteran,sorry for asking but.... Where are we going?" Player asked,while looking at the sky.
But he didn't answered. Player decided to keep himself quiet,maybe Veteran is mad at him now.
"Player,close your eyes for a second, please." Veteran suddenly speaks,staring at Player.
"But why?"
"Just close your eyes for now,hufft." Veteran closed Player's eyes with his hands. And push him forward.
But Player didn't complain. He knows when he complain,something embarrasing yet good happened later.
So he keep silent.

"Okay. Now open your eyes."
Veteran removed his hands from Players eyes. Player slowly opened his eyes.
He couldn't believe what he seeing.
Stars shining bright in the sky,flowers bloom everywhere. Some of them even shines brightly. There's a waterfall near it,its very clear and beautiful. The sound is very calming and relaxing. Just sounds of water and crickets.
Its beautiful.
His eyes widen,still can't believe what he saw. Then he looked at Veteran,eyes shining brightly.
"Vet,is all of this.... For me?"
Veteran blushed again,while staring at Player lovingly.
"You know... I wanna admit something to you...."
"Okay.... I'll listen"
"Player, i know this feels weird but i love you. I really...really love you.
You always make my day,and you brighten my day. You maybe didn't know it,but your voice is soft it reminds me of an angel. Your laugh feels like birds singing for me. When i looked at your eyes... It reminded me of the stars in the sky....."
"Veteran...."
"And when i saw you sad,crying over your patheticness,it broke my heart in pieces. When you're in despair and depression,it feels like i'm not being good enough. It make me fall into despair,too."
"......"
"Player. I love you with all my heart. I know this is very weird and silly but...
Do you want to be my boyfriend?"
Player gasps,eyes tearing up. He puts his hands on his mouth.
"Huh....so-"
"Yes,i do,Veteran."
Now Veteran eyes widen,he couldn't believe what he's hearing.
"What.... Did you say....?"
"I said,yes,Veteran. I want to be your boyfriend."
Player smiled,and blushed until his ears pink.
Veteran blushed too.
"Player... Can i....?"
"Yes.... You can..."
They leaned in to each other's face and then...
They kissed
(Lmao its bad haha,if you didn't want to or not ship this,then imagine them kiss somewhere another than mouth,but if you're shipping enough its fine,i can't say anything).
Its their first kiss,ever....
They break the kiss minutes later. Looking at each other face lovingly.
Then they hug each other.
"Honestly,Veteran. This is the best gift ever.
And i love you so much."
"Hehe....
