Gosh, what that girl did to him. He dropped everything to go see her and he had only known her for a little less than a month. No doubt, he was falling for her and he was falling fast. It was odd, but when it came to love, what wasn't?
Estelle appeared at the corner and her heart skipped three beats. He was standing on the corner, leaning against the fence. He was wearing a gray t-shirt with plaid flannel over it and jeans. She didn't know how, but he could look good in anything and everything. There was a moment when he turned his head and saw Estelle when time just stopped. She was sporting black jeans, a green t-shirt and green sneakers. It was bewitching how good she looked.
Louis couldn't overcome what had overthrew him and he took off for Estelle. He reached out his arms and embraced her. One of his hands cradled her head while the other wrapped around her shoulder. He took in her scent of lavender and sweet blossoms. Estelle was caught off guard and didn't know where to put her hands.
" Just hug me back you loser." He told her and she did just that.
Estelle put her arms around his waist and snuggled her face into his chest. He smelled divine to her. Both Louis and Estelle had nearly begun to shed tears. He cared and she reached out for him. That's all the they both wanted.
To bystanders, they saw a loving couple hugging each other. A hug such as the one they were all wrapped up in only came from a trusting and loving relationship. To them, it was a heartfelt reconciliation.
Louis couldn't let go of Estelle yet. Not just yet, so he leaned back and kept his hand on her head and his other around her shoulder. Estelle didn't let go either and simply moved back to meet his hazel eyes.
" I'm sorry. I said I wouldn't and I did it again." Estelle admitted, ashamed. " I thought I was bothering you and the others with all my stuff. Flora told me I hurt you and...I'm sorry."
Louis smiled, " I know you are and I forgive you. For an odd reason, I'll always forgive you, but please refrain from doing that ever again. I'm not a mind reader and neither are you, so I can assure you I won't be upset with whatever you think or say. Communication is important in a friendship, star girl."
" And I understand that now." She leaned into his chest and indulged into the warmth.
" Will you speak to me now?"
" Yes."
Louis' arm stayed around Estelle's shoulder and she kept one around his waist as they walked into the park. If they didn't look like a couple before, they did now. A couple of bystanders sensed jealously of the immaculate cuteness coming from the two.
They made their way to a bench and Estelle explained everything. From her mom leaving her alone more than often to her homesickness to the Damon situation and sheepishly to the bathroom cry-athon she had. Louis' heart nearly fell apart listening to her weep. He listened attentively, not daring to speak until she was done.
There was multiple emotions going through his heart and mind. But it wasn't until Damon's name appeared did envy come in. Louis was green hearing how Damon kept coming back to Estelle with the same shit.
So, now he wants to come back? He had her and he lost her. He lost an amazing girl and he just want to walk back in? He did that to himself. Why does he need to keep Estelle around his finger?
" You need to block him or something." Louis rolled his eyes. " If he keeps it up, you'll never get away from him. Personally, I believe he's just keeping you around to have someone there when he and "Ava" don't work out."
Estelle shook her head, " He wouldn't do that. He's a good person, just conflicted."
" You never thought he would cheat and here we are." He said bluntly and instantly took it back. " I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say that."
" It's fine and you do have a point." She sighed. " I guess it's better than being alone and I think I just believed that he would choose me at some point."
Estelle was native to love as she had been the night Damon kissed her cheek. Her heart was and would forever be a child that yearned for a passionate love that would cradle and care for her. Being naive, she, too, was blind. Damon would never choose her for his first pick, she would be second to him always, but to Louis, she was the only one for that matter.
" If he wanted to, he would. Just be careful. I can't control your own choices, but I can warn you."
" I will, I promise."
" And, if you're ever lonely, I can serenade you and watch movies with you." He ruffled her hair.
" Thank you, Lou. You're too good to me."
" I believe it's the opposite."
" Don't you dare try to compliment me."

Estelle and Louis were going to finish up their little meet at the park and when they were seconds away from parting, droplets of water came from the sky and flooded the streets of London. Luckily, they were both able to catch a bus. They had gotten a little wet from the rain, but it had started pouring the moment they got on to the bus.
" I'll take that as a sign to stick to you." Louis smirked and Estelle rolled her eyes.
Estelle's phone sounded from her pocket and when she took it out, she saw Damon was calling once again. She furrowed her eyebrows in confliction and declined the call. Damon could wait, she was with Louis and he deserved her undivided attention. She stuffed her phone back in her pocket and turned to Louis. Her eyes turned to Louis and he was staring out the window. Water was dripping from his face and for a bizarre second, she couldn't help but stare at him.
He was a beautiful life statue with the face of an angel. She swooned. She had been staring for a second too long and Louis turned his head. He caught her. Her cheeks turned red and Louis swore she turned cranberry red. He nudged her and she nudged him back.
It's a sign. She likes me back! At least I think she does. Does she? I mean, she did blush and she was staring at me. She let me hug her and she's finally opening up to me. But that could mean anything. Right?
They made it to her stop and Estelle suggested that he stay at the apartment until it stop raining in a hour. She made a point to say he may get sick from being wet and in the cold. Louis agreed and they both made it all the way to the 5th floor.
Shivering from the cold, Estelle rushed inside to get towels. Together, they sat on the couch trying to get dry and warm. It was when Estelle's phone rang once again and Louis was the one to pick it up. Red, hot, boiling anger rose up in him and he said in monotone, " Damon's calling."
Estelle turned to see Louis and it was doubt that his face was red and his hand with clenching her phone. Damon was always one of the reason why Estelle left everyone and closed herself up.
" Are you going to answer?" He asked once he handed her the phone.
" I don't know." She looked down.
" He hurts you." Louis urged. " He hurts you so much and you keep letting it happen. If you answer that phone, let him go and I know that at least one thing with get better."
" I'm scared. I don't want to be alone."
Louis put his hand over her's, " I'm right here."
Estelle nodded and answer the phone on the last ring and put it on speaker. Her grip on Louis' hand tightened. Although it hurt, he never let go.
" Estelle?"
" Why are you calling me, Damon?" She sighed in defeat.
Damon scoffed, " I want to talk to you. Is that a crime?"
" So, you leave me on read and never pick up the phone again until you want to? Damon, I can't have you in my life anymore like this. It's not healthy and it's not beneficial for me."
Louis smiled at her and she smiled back. It was for the best. In reality, she fell out of love with Damon soon after he first called her. Her memories and all her firsts were with him, so she kept holding on, hoping he was the one. She hoped it was like all the love stories she heard. Wrong time, but right person, but for her it was different. Wrong person and wrong time. Now, she had to let go.
" Estelle, what are you talking about? Listening, I understand I can be a dick at times, but that doesn't mean you go and leave me."
" Do you even hear yourself? Damon, you have a girlfriend. Don't go and do the same thing you did to me to her. I may dislike her, but you're turning into a grade A asshole who's playing with our emotions. Please just leave me alone."
" Are you with someone else?" Damon angrily asked. " Is that why you're like this?"
" No, I'm not. Why does it matter?"
" Because I think that Louis guy is putting shit in your head." Louis flinched at his name coming from the other guy's mouth. " Estelle, I love you and I promise I'm changing, but I need time. I may be with Ava, but I love you too."
It was wrong what he was saying and it made her realize that her Damon, the Damon that she dated, was no longer there. The sweet boy that cared for her and only her was gone and replaced with a douchebag that believed he could have two girls at once.
" You two really deserve each other." Estelle laughed out of pain. " I don't buy that. I'm done with you, Damon. I'm moving on from what you put me through and I think I deserve it."
" Are you fucking serious?"
" What did you expect? You expect me to stay on the line while you're with someone else until you decide you want to fuck around with me more?"
" Estelle, if that Louis guy or any of those new friends are saying-"
Louis had enough. It was one thing to insult him, but to insult both Estelle and his friend, that was where he drew the line.
He snagged the phone from Estelle's hand, " You don't dare say anything more. Listen, Estelle and I are simply friends and yes, I have said somethings concerning you, but do you understand the emotional toll you have on her?"
Estelle stared dumbfounded at her friend and didn't dare stop him.
" Oh, so she is with you. She's a little b- "
" And? The problem with it? Mate, you can insult me all you want, but careful with what you say about Estelle and my friends. Okay?" Unknown to many, Louis could be intimating when he wanted to be. " If she says, leave her alone, leave her alone. Can you really call yourself a good friend or a good so called boyfriend if you can't respect her?"
Damon didn't respond.
Louis handed the phone back to Estelle and stood and paced around her kitchen in an attempt to calm himself down.
" Damon, I will always trust you as a friend, but as a significant other," She sighed. " it's not possible anymore. Now, I'm asking you to leave me alone and go on with whatever you plan to do with your life. I can't say I forgive you yet for what you did, but I can say that eventually, I will. Goodbye, Damon."
She hung up the phone and with a heavy heart, she blocked him on everything. Damon was gone from her life and she was broken from the chains that once held her. She stood up to go to Louis and he was still pacing around her kitchen.
" I'm sorry." He apologized. " I got angry and I-"
He was cut off when Estelle wrapped her arms around his neck and held him close.
" Thank you."
His arms went around her waist and pulled her in tightly. They stood there, together, holding each other. They began to move around and sway to absolutely nothing. The music for them was from the natures storm outside the building.
Estelle had been very wrong before and many are in these situations. Love did not despise her, it welcomed her. It had said goodbye for a time, but it came back to her and urged her to step forward to see what was put in front of her. Fate had put Louis in her life for many reasons and it was getting closer and closer to the main objective.
Until then, Louis and Estelle would hold each other close and dance softly to the wind and rain.

nova speaks - ngl, I think my writing has peaked since 2018 when I first started to write. I'm honestly fangirling over my last two paragraphs. I decided to make it one part since it was just too good to be two parts. I hoped you enjoyed because I loved writing it. My next few updates may take some time because I have AP summer work to do. But before I go, to everyone reading, I love you all so much and a very big thank you for reading! See you next chapter!
with love - nova
