Dreams are finicky Things
They don't always come out right
-like cakes
You spend so much time in your head dreaming
for it to never happen
Or maybe it does happen
but you didn't realize the cost of it all
-like a genie wish gone bad
And you're left with this one good thing
amongst all the chaos
-and you cling to it until your hands cramp up horribly and you slip
And then there are the ones that come out right.
-The ones everyone lives for.
The sigh of relief as you realize
This really did happen.
The soft smile you give.
The one that may never happen again.
