Giselle Daniels

Vanessa entered Giselle's room with a serious look on her face. "What's wrong? Did something come up on the system?"

Giselle looked up at her from her huddled position on the bed, wiping the tears from her cheeks.

"What happened, Gi?" Vanessa's voice lowered into a softer tone, she took off her shoes as she climbed onto the bed to see Giselle.

Giselle sniffed. "I'm just not having a good night."

"Talk to me, what's going on?" Vanessa leaned back against the headboard.

"I feel like we're stuck, and it's all my fault."

"What are you talking about?"

"The system kept crashing and each time I couldn't fix it. Now we're even more clueless and have no idea where to go next."

"Hang on, you seriously don't think the whole system problem and tech van complications is your fault, right?"

Giselle's silent tears kept falling down her cheeks, Vanessa grabbed her sleeve to wipe them away.

"Is that what's really going on here?" Vanessa looked at Giselle intently.

Giselle sighed. "I feel like Charlie is hiding something from me."

"What do you mean?" Vanessa's serious tone came back.

"When we stopped for gas, he went to fill up the tank, meanwhile his phone was left in the pocket of his bag. Remember when we saw all of those messages from someone coming in?"

"Yeah, he never looked at them."

"Exactly, and he's still not. The same person is still texting and calling him and he's trying so hard to ignore it."

"Giselle, maybe it's personal-"

"But I can tell it's really bothering the guy. I know we're only co-workers, but I thought we were friends too. Why would he continuously try to hide the fact that these messages keep coming in?"

She could tell Vanessa was rethinking the situation in her mind.

"You're not suggesting that he's part of whatever Warner's plan is?"

"What? No, no, I don't think it's that, I trust him. But it's becoming more suspicious than I think he wants it to be."

Vanessa leaned back again, facing Giselle. "Gi, maybe you're just overreacting. Charlie has a personal life, let him live it out, okay?"

Giselle took a breath and laid down beside her. "I just want him to know he can be open and honest with me."

Vanessa smiled. "I know, Gi. You have a really big heart and want to be there for everyone, but Charlie is a big boy, I think he can handle his own personal problems."

Giselle nodded. "You're right, you're right. I'm just being overdramatic. It's going to be alright."

"Charlie will open up to you only if he wants to. You have to remember that he's a more reserved type guy."

Reserved, sure. Honest, hopefully.

"You don't have feelings for him, do you?" Vanessa teased.

"What? No! That's ridiculous!" Giselle looked away, trying to hide her blushed cheeks.

"Okay, okay, alright, didn't have to get so defensive about it," Vanessa laughed.

"So, where were you and Matt before I texted you?"

"We went out to eat."

"You've been spending a lot of time together."

"We have a mission to do," Vanessa laughed again.

"There was nothing in the mission that said you two had to go out and eat alone at night, who knows, maybe he likes you," Giselle poked her finger in Vanessa's face.

Vanessa grabbed one of the pillows behind her and whacked her with it.

"Now look who's being ridiculous."

"That's not nice, you know I'm kidding. You two look terrible together," Giselle grabbed a pillow and started throwing it at Vanessa.

"I mean, I don't even know how Bourne thought you two would be a cute couple, you know?"

Vanessa paused, "I-I guess so," she whacked her again.

A pillow war commenced between the two best friends. Laughter was very much needed right then.

Although both of them talked about relationships and guys a lot, neither of them had the guts to spill their true feelings right then and there.

But they both knew that there was still more to be revealed in each of their hearts.

Julia Welch

"A wedding was not part of the plan, we were only supposed to go to church services," Jacob called from the back of the van, squirming from his uncomfortable position.

Julia shifted, feeling her bare skin collide with the leather of the jacket he had on.

"Doesn't matter," the driver growled, "you go where the boss tells you to go. No questions asked."

Julia remained quiet, rethinking the boy's words and the money that was sitting in her pocket.

"You get ten minutes... I wouldn't dare to pull something or call anyone, these guys are too dangerous..."

But plans change, at least that's what Julia was saying to herself. She doesn't have ten minutes this time. She has to crash a wedding tomorrow morning.

I just need to get into a building, somewhere with the help I need.

"Excuse me?" she called to the driver in the front.

"What now, pipsqueak?" He called sarcastically.

"I need to go to the restroom," she lied.

"Ha! You should have thought of that before we stopped for the night."

Julia leaned back, not sure how to persuade the guy to let her go.

"But, sir, I don't think you understand. If I can't go to a restroom, I'll just have to sit here."

The driver looked over at the back of the van, the three teenagers were squished between seats, all tied in their seatbelts.

"Oh please, Mr. Rough Guy, please let her go to the restroom!" Jorge called from in between them.

He drove up to a near gas station. Pulling the side door open, he unbuckled Julia and let her hop out. Walking her into the store, he asked the cashier for the restroom.

"It's just down that hall and turn to your right."

He guided Julia near the hall and stopped when she was about to enter. "I'll be waiting."

He ended up standing there and let her go. She walked down the hall and turned. As she was about to head inside the restroom, she noticed a phone hooked up to the wall.

Without thinking about it too much, she grabbed a quarter and pushed in numbers into the phone.

A guy's voice on the other end picked up. "Hello?"

"Ricky?" She almost started to cry.

"Julia! Where on earth are you?!"

She lowered her voice so the driver wouldn't hear her. "Ricky, I'm fine. Listen, I can't talk, but I'll be able to come home soon after our mission... hopefully."

"Julia! Where are you?! What mission? Julia?! Julia-"

She put the phone back in the receiver. As painful as it was, at least she knew that her brother was still okay and at home.

But there was still time. Hesitantly, she decided it might be able to help her. She desperately wanted to go back home. Pushing back another quarter, she punched in another set of numbers.

"9-1-1, what's your emergency?"

Julia's heart started to pump furiously, her hands were shaking she almost dropped the phone. She knew she had to act fast.

"My name is Julia Welch. I've been kidnapped with other teenagers in this group and we don't know where we are. I'm headed to a wedding tomorrow morning, although I don't know which one."

"Sweetheart, calm down, can you look around you and figure out where you are?"

"I'm calling from a 7/11 off of a highway. I'm sorry I don't know-"

Suddenly she found the guy was already making his way over, he had heard her. Julia's tears started streaming down her cheeks in fear, she couldn't stop her hands from shaking furiously.

"Hello? Anyone there-"
