This Chapter Contains a miscarriage
Maeve's POV:
I woke up and felt a hand on mine which turned out to be Jeremiah's. "How are you feeling?" He said sounding a little off. "Okay, P-Parker where is-" "Maeve Parker's okay" Jeremiah cut me off by saying. "Harry's died" he said looking down.
"What!?" I said in shock. "Harry jumped in front of the bullet before it could shoot Parker" he said still looking down. Tears started to slowly stream down my face. "Mae-" "Please can I just have some time to myself" I said when he tried to reach for my arm and I turned over on my side.
Without saying anything else Jeremiah got up and left the room.
A few minutes later the doctors came in.
"Miss?" One said to which I sat back up and answered "Yes" I said. "I'm sorry to inform you but when you were shot you were 6 weeks pregnant" they said which came as a shock to me.
"Were?" I said with tears starting to pool my eyes. "I'm sorry Miss you lost the baby" the other said, they left afterwards which left me by myself to cry.
I sat and cried for ages until someone entered the room. "Maeve?" I heard a familiar voice say. "Hailey?" I replied turning to face her. "Are you okay?" She said hugging me tightly.
"No" i said as she pulled back. "Do you want to tell me why?" Hailey said as she pulled a chair and sat closely. "I was pregnant" I said as I started crying again. Hailey was in shock for a while before her eyes watered. "Im so sorry" she said while her voice broke and she gave me another hug.
"Are you going to tell Jeremiah?" She said once she sat back down again. "He deserves to know" I said as I wiped a tear away from my cheek.
"Everyone really wants to see you, do you want to see them now? Their outside I can go get them if you want" Hailey said changing the subject which I was thankful for. "Yes please" I said composing myself however I still looked like I had cried.
Hailey left and a few seconds later Parker, Louis, Camila, Grayson, Wesley and Noah came back in. "Maeve!" Parker said giving me a tight hug. "How are you feeling?" Noah asked sadly as Harry was really close with him. "I'm...okay" I said quietly.
"Thank you" Camila said suddenly "What for?" "You saved my life" Camila replied. "You would have done the same" I said still not managing to smile. "Where's Amy?" I asked and everyone went silent. "She's moving in with some friends" Louis said breaking the silence.
I looked down feeling bad for what happened to Amy and Harry, they had more of a life planned then I ever did, I let a tear slip but not for long before I wiped it away as well as some in the room. "Do you know where Jeremiah is?" I asked as I knew I was going to tell him.
"Jeremiah's outside, he's blaming himself for all of this" Grayson said. "Can you ask him to come here?" I asked Grayson which he nodded to and everyone else left as well. Which left me and Jeremiah in the room by ourself.
"What's wrong?" Jeremiah said after a bit of silence in the room as he sat. "J-Jeremiah" I said looking at him with cloudy vision from the tears.
Jeremiah got up and sat with me on the bed hugging me. "What ever it is we can fix" he said. "We can't fix this" "Tell me what it is" Jeremiah replied now looking me straight in the eyes.
"I was p-pregnant" I said as the tears fell further, Jeremiah's face was full of shock and sadness. "Y-you were pregnant?" He asked as his voice broke.
"Not anymore" I said as I watched a single tear fall from his eye as I pulled him closer as I did so I saw outside Hailey and Grayson holding Kenzie which wasn't their fault but made me feel empty to what I could have had.
"I've lost e-everything" I said to Jeremiah pulling away from the hug. "You have me and everyone out there" he said cupping my cheeks and wiping the tears, "Harry had a future with Amy, they had more of a plan of life than I ever did."
"Maeve stop. Let's go home, the private nurse will look after you." He said as went over to the other side of the room picking up the T-shirt and sweatpants I assume Hailey brought for me.
Silently Jeremiah changed me out of the hospital gown and into my clothes and picked me up bridal style but careful of my stomach.
He carried me out of the room to where everyone was sat while I buried my face into his chest so they wouldn't know I've been crying.
I didn't realise but I fell asleep all the drive home and into the house. I woke when I felt Jeremiah position me in his bed. "Sorry I didn't mean to wake you" he said kissing my forehead and turned to walk away but I quickly grabbed hold of his hand before he could leave.
"Where are you going?" I asked as he turned to face me. "I'm going to sleep in the spare bedroom" he said which I was taken back by. "But you can sleep here with me" I said pulling on his arm. "No, you need to rest it's okay" he said. "Please" I pleaded.
After a few seconds Jeremiah gave in and got in next to me as I snuggled into him, "I'm sorry" I said to which he was confused about. "What for?" "The baby, if I would have just held on then-" "Maeve don't say that again" Jeremiah interrupted me.
"I love you Jeremiah" I said kissing his lips lightly. "I love you too" he said returning the kiss before we fell asleep.
