After a few minutes of just staring at her, Remus whispered "Shit" at himself as he saw the aloe vera gel on the nightstand.
"Spence" he whispered, slowly poking her shoulder.
"Mm" she groaned.
"I need you to wake up" he whispered.
"Remus you just said I could sleep" she furrowed her eyebrows, eyes still closed.
"I know I'm sorry but I needed to apply the aloe vera after I took off the wax but you told me you wanted me to-"
"I know what I said" she giggled.
"I need you to be awake ok? I don't want to do anything while you're sleeping" he said as he got the aloe.
"Mmh" she nodded, taking the blanket off of her.
"Spencer, I'm serious, don't fall asleep" he said applying it on her stomach.
"I'm not" she replied.
"Open your eyes"
"Remus I won't fall asleep" she chuckled.
"I'm going to put it on your boobs, okay?" he asked.
"Mmh" she nodded.
"Spence?" he asked.
"Yeah" she replied.
"This is weird with your eyes closed" he whispered.
"Okay then I'll talk to you" she answered. "I'm excited for break- though I'm going to miss you" she sighed. "You never told me what you were going to do" she added.
"I'm not sure myself" he answered. "I'll probably stay here or I don't know-" he sighed. "But I know I'll miss you too" he smiled even though she couldn't see.
"You don't have family?" she asked before thinking. "Sorry- it- I didn't mean to bring up your family while you're massaging my chest" she chuckled awkwardly.
Remus laughed, "no it's okay- and no I don't, both my parents are dead" he answered nodding.
Spencer opened her eyes, "I'm sorry" she said softly.
"It's okay- long time ago" he shrugged.
"Mm" she nodded. "I can come back a couple days early, say we have to prepare for the new semester" she smiled at him, changing the subject.
"Yeah?" he grinned.
"Yeah," she nodded, "or I could say my parents expect me" she shrugged.
"Whatever you want to do love" he smiled before kissing her lips. "Do you want a shirt?" he asked as he put the aloe away.
"No I'm okay" she answered. "Come cuddle with me" she said petting the bed.
"You bet" he smiled before laying next to her.
The two slept comfortably until Spencer slowly opened her eyes, feeling something poking her from behind.
She turned around and saw Remus was slowly becoming hard.
"Remus" she whispered. "Remus" She repeated until he started shuffling.
"Hey" he said tiredly. "I thought I was going to wake you up" he smiled.
"What time is it" he asked.
"I didn't wake you up to talk about time" she chuckled.
"What do you want to talk about?" he asked.
"Your best friend" Spencer said as she looked down. "Looks like he woke up before you" she chuckled.
Remus laughed awkwardly as he covered himself with the blanket.
"It's nothing I haven't seen before" Spencer giggled before sitting up. "Were you dreaming about me" Spencer asked, wiggling her eyebrows.
Remus smirked before grabbing a pillow and putting it over his face.
"Don't be embarrassed" Spencer laughed, trying to take the pillow off. "You're not the only person it happens to" Spencer added.
Remus gave in and let her take it off. "Jack told me multiple times he frequently-"
"Alright then" Remus said as he got up from the bed and put his boxers on.
"Remus I was kidding! I was obviously talking about me" Spencer laughed as she grabbed his arm and threw him on top of her.
"I think it's nice that I'm in your dreams" she smiled before pecking his lips with hers.
"You should put something on before my dreams become a reality" he said before kissing her and getting off.
Spencer smirked before getting out of bed.
"She listens" he joked as he put a shirt on.
"She does" she replied, looking through her dresser for something located specifically at the bottom.
"What's wrong with the shirts at the top?" he asked.
"Not what I want to wear" she shrugged. "There we go" she smiled.
Spencer took out a transparent nightgown and put it on.
"You sneaky little-"
"You told me to put something on" Spencer smiled.
Remus smirked before throwing her one of his shirts.
"Okay, okay" she laughed before taking the gown off and putting the shirt on. She looked for some shorts as Remus walked to the kitchen.
Spencer sat on her awkwardly placed couch and placed a small box beside her.
Remus walked into the living room, once he set his eyes on her he knew what was going on.
He smiled before going to the coat hanger and pulling out a box from his cardigan.
He sat next to her and placed his tea down.
"You really shouldn't have" he chuckled.
"You shouldn't have" she replied with a smile.
"Here, go first" Remus said as he handed her the box.
"What if I wanted you to go first?" Spencer asked.
"Take the damn box" he laughed.
"Fine, only because you asked oh so nicely" she replied sarcastically.
"Thank you darling" he said before placing a kiss on her cheek.
Spencer undid the red ribbon and took the top off.
She looked at the origami crane necklace for a long time, Remus assumed she didn't like it.
"I'm sure I can return it- the guy can change it for us-"
"You remember" she whispered. She looked up at him, her voice small, "you remember that day" she repeated.
"I remember everything" he shook his head with a smile.
"It's going to rain" Remus said as he walked closer to Spencer.
"No it's not" Spencer laughed as she continued walking.
"It is Spencer, we should head back to the castle. We didn't bring-"
"Remus relax, if it rains it rains" Spencer shrugged.
"We don't know how long it'll rain-"
"If it even rains" Spencer muttered.
Remus stopped walking, making Spencer chuckle.
"Remus if it rains we'll run back to the castle or something. The tree house isn't that far now c'mon" she said grabbing his hand and continuing to walk.
"You're lucky it's the weekend" he huffed as he continued to walk.
Spencer grinned as she continued to walk. She said the incantation for the tree to grow the staircase and walked up. She then grabbed a bean bag and brought it to the balcony.
"Woah" she said to herself as she noticed something from the corner of her eye.
She noticed a hidden carving of a half moon with "LVPIN" underneath it. Spencer ran her finger around the moon.
"Yeah" Remus said awkwardly.
"This is so cool, why have you never shown me this" she giggled.
"Vandalism?" he chuckled in response.
"In your own tree house?" she chuckled. She looked up as she felt water drops start to hit her head.
"As I said... it's going to rain" he said, putting the bean bags back inside.
"Can I carve something?" she asked him.
"Sure," he said, "let me look for the knife" he added.
"What do you think, a flower or Saturn?" she asked while he looked for the knife inside.
"Why not Venus?" he chuckled, looking down at it.
"Venus is just a circle, it's the same as why you put a half moon" she replied with a chuckle.
Spencer looked inside and saw him. "You okay?" she asked.
"Yeah yeah, sorry" he chuckled before handing it to her. She smiled and started to carve her last name.
"Why a flower then?" he asked.
Spencer raised her hand for him to look at the ring he gave her- making him smile.
"Right" he smiled. "How about a small Saturn a little to the left of my moon and the flower above your last name" he asked.
"Okay" Spencer nodded as she started carving.
"Why the moon?" she asked.
"I don't know," he shrugged, knowing full well what the moon represented, "A star would look awkward?" he answered.
Spencer laughed, "I can't draw it without doing the lines."
"Me either, the sides are never the same size" he said joining her. "Looks nice" he nodded as she stepped back.
"Here look" he said grabbing her hand and leading her to the other side, showing her the opposite corner.
Spencer ran her fingers through the initials carved in on the wood.
"Your friends" she smiled, Remus nodded.
Rain started pouring harder, making Remus grab Spencer's hand once more and dragging her inside.
"Behind Fred's bed we have the same" she chuckled.
"What are we going to do now?" he asked, running his hand through his wet hair.
Spencer walked around, looking for anything.
"Do you have parchment here?" she asked.
Remus nodded as he found it and handed it to her.
"Homework?" he asked, wondering why she wanted the paper.
"No silly," she laughed as she sat on the floor, "come" she pet the floor.
Remus sat down in front of her.
"Look closely" she added, folding the parchment to make a crane.
Remus nodded as he watched. After she finished he grabbed a paper and started doing the same.
However he got stuck and looked up for help.
She smiled at his sheepish look.
"Like that" she explained to him.
The two converted all of the papers into cranes. Remus exhaled and said "ok, good way to kill time" with a chuckle.
"We're not done yet" she said. "Watch this" Spencer said as she slowly got up.
She focused on the paper cranes on the floor, Remus stared at her confused.
"What are you-"
"Shh" she whispered.
Slowly each paper crane began to fly around the room, Remus slowly got up amazed at the magic.
"You didn't say anything" he spoke as he slowly turned around- following the cranes.
"Wandless-"
"Magic- yes" he replied amazed once again. "Amazing" he added. "I mean- you're controlling them-" he added.
Spencer made the cranes fly around Remus."What else have you been hiding from me?" he turned around and asked.
"You won't get mad?" she asked.
Remus smiled, "I won't make any promises" he shrugged.
"Follow me" Spencer said. As she grabbed his hand, the cranes dropped immediately. Remus smiled at her back, shaking his head.
"We'll get wet" he said as she led him outside.
"We'll dry eventually" she replied walking down the steps.
"Okay," she said rubbing her hands together, "don't freak... please" she asked, Remus nodded nervously.
"You should- maybe take a step back" she nodded.
"O-kay" he said stepping back. "I'm not freaking out but... I'm getting nervous here Spencer" he chuckled awkwardly.
Spencer smirked before placing her hand in front of her. Seconds later a flame could be seen on her palm.
Remus' eyes widened, "Don't worry- it's okay" she nodded, staring at the flame.
"Spencer... it's fire" he gulped. "Wingardium leviosa is one thing-" Remus stopped talking as she put the flame out.
"I've done it since I was a kid" she shrugged. "It's how I got this" she said while raising her pants and showing her ankle.
"You said... you said you got it as a kid" he smiled, shaking his head.
"Let's go back up, we're going to smell so bad" she joked walking up the steps.
"Speak for yourself" he chuckled.
"I'm still surprised you didn't tell me anything about going into the restricted section of the library" she chuckled, putting the necklace on.
Remus shrugged, "I think those books shouldn't be restricted" he answered. "I mean- muggle born kids use wandless magic... that's how they know they're wizards" he rolled his eyes. "and I get it- wands control the magic but still it's important to learn nonverbal and wandless magic" he shrugged again.
Spencer smiled at him, "I did it again" he closed his eyes.
"Stop" she laughed, reaching for his hand. "I love your little rants you know this" she smiled. "Here" she said handing him his gift. "The nightgown I wore was also a gift" she giggled.
"Mm" he chuckled as he opened the box. His eyes widened at the sight. "Spencer this looks-"
"Don't say it" she replied, Remus looked up at her. "It's Christmas" she smiled.
"I would give you the world if I could but I checked and they don't sell that down in Diagon Alley" he said before grabbing her face and kissing her.
"Look at the back" she smiled.
Remus took the watch off the box and flipped it over.
We'll beg for and borrow time
V
Remus read to himself. He handed it to her and signaled her to put it on him.
"What made you put V?" he asked as she wrapped the watch around his wrist.
"Nickname" she shrugged.
He smiled before looking up at her, "you are, quite literally, the best thing that has ever happened to me" he shook his head.
"I know" she grinned before getting on top of him and kissing him. "There's one more" she said, laying her forehead on his.
"For you too" he replied.
Spencer got off of him and walked to her bookshelf, "you can't wait can you" she chuckled.
"Actually I put your gift here too" he laughed.
Spencer smiled as she grabbed his gift. "This is my copy of The Great Gatsby, annotations and all" she said, handing it to him.
"I'd let you spoil it for me" he said and he opened the book and looked through the pages. "Here" he said as he took some books out and got her gift.
"I saw- well when we first met, your notebook was running low on paper so" he said handing her the notebook. "I even asked them to do the initials in the corner" he smiled, pointing to them. "but instead of SAV just SV so you can tell the difference" he added. "I couldn't decide on what notebook so I just got something I know you'd already like- and I know you can just use a charm for more paper but- I don't know I wanted to-"
"Just shut up and kiss me" she chuckled.
Remus kissed her and led her to the kitchen, showing her everything he cooked.
"Remus this is-" she laughed. "Wow" she added.
"I know," he chuckled, "I may have out done myself" he nodded.
"I just wanted some cupcakes darling not-" she said as she faced him, "not a whole bakery" she laughed.
"I'm sure that George and Fred and well really any of your friends would love some" he nodded.
"Yeah" she replied before looking at her kitchen once more. "Wow" she repeated.
They both ate a couple desserts before heading off to bed and cuddling. "I love the watch" he said softly.
"Yeah?" she asked, tracing the scars on his chest.
"Yeah" he said before kissing her head and falling asleep.
