Luna walked up to the Baker's doorstep with a tray of freshly baked cookies in her hand. She wasn't sure what prompted this whole girl's night or why she was invited in the first place, her relationship with Layla was just fine at the moment. If anyone needed to patch things up with the Keating girl it was Olivia but this was probably Liv's way of not wanting to exclude Luna in things.

Jordan swung the door open, his face softening at her. "Hey, sweetheart."

"Hey, babe," Luna grabbed the hand that was held out for her, stepping past the threshold. "How are you?"

"A lot better now that you're here." He pulled her closer to his side, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "I missed you."

"This is why we're having a girl's night," Olivia interrupted their wholesome moment as they stepped foot into the kitchen. "You guys literally can't spend a day apart."

"We're in love and we need to be with each other 24/7," Jordan defended. "Tell her, Luna."

Luna pointed her finger at them. "Stop dragging me into your arguments."

"Whatever," Liv rolled her eyes. "What'd you bring?"

She held up the Tupperware, plopping down on a stool. "Cookies. Simple and easy. What'd you make?"

"Cheese puffs," Liv waved her hand over the tray. "You know, it's our..." she stopped talking once she noticed Jordan had attempted to grab a cheese puff. "Hey! This is for tonight. You better make yourself scarce."

"Okay," Jordan moved himself in between his girlfriend's legs. "Don't worry cool kids actually like going out on Friday nights."

Luna chuckled softly under her breath at the mention of his plans. "Dude, you're hanging out with Asher. How cool are you?"

"Okay, first of all, if I can't call you dude, then you can't either," he wagged his finger in her face. "Second, that was kind of hurtful."

"Cookie?" she offered the container of cookies to him. "Or kiss?"

"I'll take both," Jordan grabbed a couple of cookies, then leaned down to kiss her. "Man, I love you."

Luna grinned, patting his cheek affectionately. Mrs. Baker had shortly walked down the steps, causing Luna to push Jordan away from her because he was practically invading her personal space in front of his sister and his mother. She then turned towards Liv giving her a questioning stare as she pointed a finger in Laura's direction.

"So, mom," Liv cleared her throat. "You, uh, got any big plans for tonight?"

"Just sitting here," Laura continued scrolling through her laptop. "I'm trying to figure out the best way to put my legal services in low-income communities but it's harder than I thought. Or I could stay here with you, Luna, and Layla, take a night off, we could have a girl's night."

"That sounds like a great idea, mom," Jordan chuckled. "You deserve the night off, mom."

"Have you talked to Ms. James?" Liv suggested. "Isn't she still working at the courthouse in Inglewood?"

"I wouldn't want to bother her," Laura said.

"Well, yeah, or you know, you could talk to someone who has both personal and legal connections in a community that you're trying to help," Luna suggested. "Oh, and I thought of an even better idea, invite my mom! She has the night off and she's always been very active in helping out in low-income communities. She might have some connections."

"Wow," Jordan smirked. "These two really want you out of the house, huh?"

"Time for you to leave," Luna pointed at the door. "You suck."

Jordan pouted, stealing one last kiss before walking out of the house. Mrs. Baker had also left once she realized that the two girls weren't exactly planning for girl's night to include her. Plus, there was no way she wanted to spend her night with the three teens who had underlying issues with each other.

"Do you think tonight's gonna be weird?" Luna asked.

"Nope," Liv denied. "I think it'll be great! I'll get the door."

Luna wasn't very surprised at Liv's answer, she was always incredibly optimistic. It was one of her best traits but Luna couldn't help but feel that tonight would be the opposite of great

"Luna!" Layla greeted.

She turned around with a smile that had quickly vanished once she spotted the random person beside her. "Uh, hi, Layla. Who's...who's this?"

"I'm Carrie!" she stuck her hand out and grinned. "It's so nice to meet you. I've heard so much about you, Luna. You're the one dating your best friend's twin brother!"

Luna hesitantly glanced at her hand before shaking it, she knew that she had to be on her best behavior. But, the way she had been greeted by Carrie was incredibly offputting.

Olivia emerged from the kitchen with a tray, which earned a wide smile from Layla. "Wedding food!"

"What's wedding food?" Carrie asked.

"Oh, um, when the three of us were kids," Layla looked at her. "We used to think that the food they served at weddings was so fancy."

"Right," Liv faked a British accent. "And when we'd have sleepovers, we would just make them, then act all snooty, right, lovey?"

"Quite right, dear," Layla mimicked her.

"And would you like some wedding food?" Liv asked Carrie.

"Oh, you mean canapes," Carrie corrected her. "Oh, no. No, thanks. I'm on a really strict diet, and it does not include frozen foods."

"Oh! Luna, you made cookies, right?" Layla glanced at her. "She's incredible when it comes to making literally anything."

"I did," Luna confirmed. "But, I think Jordan ate them all. Looks like you'll have to...starve. Sorry!"

Liv couldn't help but laugh at her comment, quickly covering it up with a cough and sparing her best friend a glance.

"Sorry, um, it's the cheese puffs," Liv bit down on her lip. "So, I was thinking we could watch Us, tonight?"

"Oh, yes," Layla nodded. "We missed it in theaters."

"Oh, well, trust me," Carrie spoke. "You did not miss much. How bout we watch something more fun, like a movie where the main character isn't the villain?"

"Are you serious?" Luna snapped. "We avoided spoilers for years and you just ruined it in, like, 10 seconds."

Olivia took the tray of cheese puffs back to the kitchen with a look of annoyance on her face. Carrie had seemed completely oblivious as to what the huge deal was. Luna didn't even want to attend girl's night in the first place and now that Carrie was here, it was taking all of her strength for her not to snap.

"So, Carrie, how long are you staying with Layla?" Liv asked.

"Until she kicks me out," Carrie joked. "Kidding. I'm, um, still figuring things out."

"And your parents are cool with that?" Luna asked.

"Um, Carrie's parents are kind of like my dad, MIA-ish," Layla said.

"Kind of like your dad, Luna," Carrie smiled. "Layla mentioned he's kind of like a deadbeat. But, anyway, that's how we first connected. I know that a treatment center isn't the best place for a meet/cute, but if it wasn't for Layla, I never would have gotten through it."

Luna felt a pang in her stomach at the mention of her father. Although it was no secret that he wasn't very active in her life, it wasn't something that she wanted her closest friend gossiping about especially to some stranger.

"I feel the same way about you," Layla sighed.

"Um, well, that's great you had each other," Olivia nodded. "I mean, I know how hard recovery can be from personal experience."

"That's right," Carrie co-signed. "Layla told me about it. Congrats on your recovery."

Liv looked visibly upset at her comment causing Luna's anger to rise.

"Well, Liv is one of the strongest people I know," Layla complimented.

"I love how you two are still there for each other," Carrie nodded. "Well, all three of you actually. Despite, everything you know? Stolen boyfriends and drunken outbursts...Hell, even when Luna was a total bitch to Layla for no reason."

"Carrie," Layla warned.

Liv set her cup down and stormed off, Carrie followed after her not too long after.

"Seriously, Layla?" Luna spat. "Liv's our best friend...I don't give a shit if you spill my personal business to that random chick. But, telling her things that Liv had gone through in the darkest moments of her life is not okay."

Layla shook her head. "I'm pretty sure she's apologizing to her."

"She isn't the one who should be apologizing," Luna raised her eyebrow. "You should."

Luna was so tempted to continue to ridicule Layla over Carrie but she knew that it was probably best if she kept her mouth shut.

"Hey, I'm so sorry," Layla spoke up as Olivia walked into the living room. "I shouldn't have told her that stuff. I just...I kinda got into oversharing at the center."

"If anyone should be apologizing, it's me, okay?" Liv said. "We'll work through this. We always do."

All Luna wanted to do was reach over and smack Liv on the head, there was no reason for her to be apologizing but once against she kept her mouth shut. Because she didn't want to lose two friends in one night. She was okay with losing Layla but there was no way in hell she'd be okay without Olivia.

"Hey, I'm gonna take off," Carrie announced. "I'm not feeling too well all of a sudden."

"Oh, um, I'll take you," Layla offered. "Let me just grab my keys."

"It's fine. I already called an Uber," Carrie denied. "Tonight was supposed to be the three of you anyway. It was nice to finally meet you two. Thanks for putting up with me tonight."

"Anytime. Feel better," Liv said.

Luna waved. "Bye."

Liv was finally able to put the movie on and the three girls had put their attention to the tv screen. But, once again, the topic of Carrie had come up.

"Okay," Liv sighed. "So, how well do you really know her?"

"What's that supposed to mean?" Layla glanced at her.

"I don't know," Liv shook her head. "I just get a weird vibe from her."

"Me too," Luna agreed. "She's...different."

"I feel like it's not surprising that you two are ganging up on me and my new friend," Layla scoffed. "But, I don't want to argue with you guys. So, I think I'll leave."

"We haven't even finished our movie," Luna threw her hands up.

Layla let out a sigh. "I think the night is ruined."

Layla walked out of the house, not bothering to utter another word or even give them a second glance. Luna didn't care but she knew that Olivia was looking forward to the three of them reconnecting and going back to the way things used to be. They eventually ditched the living room and went up to her room, not wanting to continue sitting down there.

Liv nudged her friend on the bed. "So much for a fun night with the three L's, huh?"

"Am I a bad friend?" Luna rested her head against Liv's shoulder. "I feel like I might be."

"Why would you even ask that?" Liv laughed.

"Layla has some new friend and she's like completely invested in her now," she sighed. "I mean, she ditched us, the two people she's known for years to be with that girl who's she known for like a couple of months. And it made me think of me and Jordan. Like I know I've been spending a lot of time with him lately. But, you don't feel...abandoned. Do you?"

"I knew that you and Jordan being in a relationship would mean you two spending a lot of time together and honestly, I could care less," Liv admitted. "Unlike some people, you're self-aware when it comes to things like this. You know how to make time for both of us. You're an amazing friend and if you were acting differently...we're close enough to the point where I'd call you out on your shit."

"True," Luna nodded. "I'd call you out on your shit if you ditched me all the time for Spence."

"And why exactly are you using Spencer as an example?" Liv scoffed.

She giggled. "Well, it's not like I can use Asher."

Liv gasped, pushing her friend off of the bed. "Low blow!"

"Ow!" Luna stood up from the floor. "Olivia, that hurt!"

Jordan passed by Liv's room, munching on cheese puffs, and stopped in his tracks once he noticed them. "You two have a fun night?"

"Not really," Liv huffed. "Have you met Layla's new friend Carrie?"

"No," he answered, his eyes drifted towards his girlfriend. "Did you notice I didn't ask if she was hot? Well, it's because I'm in a loving and committed relationship with that girl right there."

"It's not like she's your type, anyway," Luna stared at him.

Jordan threw his hands up, twisting his face up in confusion.

"Anyway," Liv gained their attention. "Something is just seriously wrong with her, and Layla either just doesn't see it or doesn't want to."

"You worry too much," Jordan said.

"Okay, usually, I would totally say the exact same thing," Luna nodded. "But, I agree with Liv something is seriously wrong with that Carrie girl."

"See?" Liv pointed her finger. "You can't call me crazy because then you'd be calling your girlfriend crazy!"

"No. I still think you're crazy," He chuckled. Jordan walked over to Luna, throwing her over his shoulder. "Knock before you enter my room, alright?"

Liv shuddered in disgust. "I hate you guys."

Once Jordan entered his room, he immediately threw her on the bed, his eyes had roamed her figure and he couldn't help but smile at her choice of clothes. "Is that my shirt?"

Luna tugged on the bottom of the Beverly Eagles t-shirt, softly smiling. "I took it the other day. Sorry."

"Don't apologize," Jordan smothered her with his body, brushing his lips against her neck. "It looks better on you."
