Part of my science thoughts
It was cold, not the nice kind where you rap up warm in front of a fire with hot chocolate and live that y/n life. But the painful cold where you can never get warm. Condensation was lining the corner of my window, the frost that had settled the night before was starting to melt and my washing machine had just finished a cycle. It hurt, like getting pushed of a roof type of hurt -except with falling of a roof there will be the ground to hit- but falling for them was soft and beautiful, but I forgot. I would hit the ground and it would hurt. They hit the bottom of the River Humber one month ago, it their final letter they said it wouldn't hurt when they hit the bottom or the rocks, but I can't believe that even they believed that lie.
It was May, the April showers came late this year but everyone seemed to have 'moved' on. I couldn't. I wouldn't, not yet. They hung their school photo on a wall in the library and said "It's what they would have wanted" which is a lie. She hated her school photo and when I would say it wasn't that bad, they would deny it with a pout on her face. Two months since they left but also two months till I would graduate. I studied as hard as I could to take my mind of things but I finished my exams a week ago so my mind is back to thinking about it. About them.
July 28th. I graduated a week ago and I am happy. Happy because I finished high school and happy I opened the gift she got me a week before she sunk. It was a copy of pride and prejudice with random words highlighted every couple to make up their final words,
My darling I shall love you in my dying as you shall love me in your blossoming adulthood,
