When Alexis parked her car at the Ferrari garage, she knew she was starting her last day at the factory, since Wednesday she flew to Netherland. Alexis knew she will miss this place over the year, she loved all the moments and all the persons she met. Before leaving her car she took some only time to think about all the things that happened this last four months so far, what a journey. Alexis was lost in her mind when someone hit her car window, with the sound Alexis jumped. She lowered her car window to face Alessandro, she was surprised to see him this early.
"Hey." Alexis softly said
"Hey, a bit nostalgic?" Alexis nodded "You will come back!" Alessandro smiled at her
"Yeah, but I will have to wait." Alexis said with sadness
"We will se you before, come to Silverstone! I'm sure I can get some free pass for you." Alessandro wanted to cheer up her friend
"Mattia already offers me some, but thank you for the attention." Alexis shyly said, Alessandro putted his arm on the sill of the car window.
"I will be sure that you found this car for next year." Alexis smiled wilder
"I hope so, if not I go back to home." Alessandro smiled
"Furthermore, you are on the chat so you will some game night!" Alessandro winked
"Sure, I'm waiting for beat your ass again." They both started laughing
"Alright, come on don't want to be late on your last day." Alessandro opened Alexis' car door and she got out.
Once they reached the hall, the secretary told Alexis that Mattia was waiting for her in his office. She knew it was for the contract and all the stuffs but the was still a bit stressed. The appointment lasted the whole morning, they discussed about the salary, the holiday, the rules. One caught Alexis' attention:
"You can't date someone from another team."
This was kinda obvious for her, but when she thought twice about it Lando got on her mind. What about him? What about them? She will miss the British boy.
"Is everything ok for you Alexis?" Mattia asked
"Seems perfect!" Alexis smiled at him
"Great, when I can I send you some pass for Silverstone. Take these as thank you gifts, for all the work you did for us, the team and the drivers!"
"Thank you so much, I can't wait to see you again. I'm safe to say that it was the best summer of my life!" Alexis was really enthusiasm.
Since it was lunch time, Alexis got into the cafeteria she didn't want it to be her last day at the factory. It seemed that at the end everyone truly appreciated her, for the work she had done but also the person she was.
"I will miss your smiled" Giulia said, while hugging her
"I will miss you so much, I can't wait to se you again. I loved this internship; you guys you were amazing. I learnt so much things from you." Alexis started crying "I won't never forget you!" Alessandro hugged her
"We will never forget you, I will never forget you blondi!" Alessandro mumbled to her ear
"Alexis, we have a present for you from the design department." Giulia said, Alexis left Alessandro's arms "Since you are it's mother, we wanted to dive you this." Giulia shew a piece of the ALG20221 rear wing "This is your rear wing, so please take it" Alexis took the piece with caution
"Now, when I will watch a Grand Prix, I can tell that this is my rear wing!" Alexis said, everyone started smiling
Actually, she didn't work the afternoon, she just shared some precious time with some employees, and her friends. She savoured these moments, for later cherished them. On her way back to her apartment Alexis cried, it was the last time at the factory, last time taking this road, last time using this car. Once she reached her apartment, she packed all her luggage since the will directly flew back to the UK after Netherlands. It was hard, hard to believe this was the end of the first adventure at Ferrari but she was looking forward next year.
Once she got in Alessandro's car to go to the airport, she left behind her the apartment, the car the memories.
"Ready?" Alexis nodded and Alessandro started the car, there was a silence. Alexis didn't want to speak she knew she would cry if she spoke. So they listened to some music, Alexis couldn't believe it was already the end of this chapter. As she saw like this just on Wednesday, she couldn't imagine how she would look like Sunday evening and Monday morning. She preferred focussing on the music rather than think about it. Once they arrived at the airport, Alexis took all her luggage out of the car boot, and got in the hall with Alessandro. Everyone was here, expect the drivers who were using private jets.
When came boarding time, Alexis was a bit tired it was clear that she would sleep the whole flight. In fact, it's the best way if she slept, she couldn't cry. Netherlands was Max's country, so everyone will support the Red bull pilot, it wasn't the best conditions for Ferrari but the win would be even better.
They arrived at the hotel, found their rooms, the only thing on Wednesday was a meeting this afternoon. So, Alexis decided to go to the paddock, walked around, enjoying her life. Once again, she saw Kym Illiman, after each weekend she was tag on his post 'Women of the paddock' but this time it will be the last of the season. Alexis waved at him and continue her way through the paddock, she saw some drivers, but a discussion caught her eyes, it was Toto and George. Alexis was wondering what was the discussion about, maybe we will soon be inform.
Then Alexis saw Pierre, she waved at him and he winked at her. Pierre had been nice with her, he was a good and loyal friend. Alexis enjoyed the feeling of the sun on her skin, the breeze in her hair. Alexis levelled the McLaren pit box, the two drivers were chatting with Zak and Brent, Lando was focus on the discussion but once his eyes meet Alexis he started smiling. The three others guys sarted looking in Alexis direction since they knew it was the reason of Lando's smile.
"Alexis, happy to see you here!" Brent said, Alexis blushed "Please come!" Alexis didn't know what to do but once she saw Lando nodding she reached the group. "Zak please meet Alexis she is working at Ferrari as you can see and she is the reason why they are winning now!" Alexis was a bit uncomfortable with the situation
"No, it's not true I'm just here for an internship!" Alexis shyly said
"With benefits!" Daniel said with a huge smile looking at her then at Lando, it was clear that he thought that they made out in the elevator at Monza
"She is the origin of the new ALG2021 Ferrari rear wing, she has talent." Brent added
"Interesting, but are you currently looking for a job?" Zak said
"No, I will go back to the UK after the race for my second year at Nottingham university, then I will work with Ferrari for my placement year, and after that last year at Nottingham." Alexis said
"And then?" Zak seemed very interesting with Alexis' profile
"Then I have different options, a master in motorsport or I found a job."
"Did Ferrari already offer you a job for later?" Zak asked
"Not yet!" Alexis smiled, she was more confident
"It's unusual to have a talented intern like you, if you want be free to apply at McLaren!" Zak finally said
"I already asked her!" Brent added
"What are you doing?" the group turned over to face Giulia "She is mine, don't steal my engineers!" Giulia reached the group level
"Hi Giulia, we are just offering her a better place. Nothing you can rival at Ferrari!" Brent said "Alexis can choose by her own what she wants for her future, loosing with you or winning with us!"
"Well who won the last two Grand Prix?" Giulia asked with a smile
"You but thanks to Alexis, now what will happen since she leaves you? Loosing again?" Brent started laughing
"Will see, but don't try to steal her. She is a Ferrari production, and will stay like that!" Alexis didn't know what to say or do, she started looking at Lando who was already looking at her. He smiled at her, Alexis will miss this smile so much she knew it.
"Alright, Kids I have to leave!" Zak said leaving the group, so did Brent and Giulia, was only remaining Daniel, Lando and Alexis.
"So now I'm surrounded by British guys! Can someone help me!" Daniel said, lando smiled
"I'm French not British!" Alexis said
"oh! Bonjour mademoiselle, oui oui merci Croissant! » Daniel said laughing, Lando was laughing as well
"This is not funny!"
"Baguette baguette!" Daniel continued, Alexis wanted to laugh since it was too funny but decide not to
"Are you enjoying the hotel elevator?" Daniel asked, Lando and Alexis started looking at each other
"Pretty much!" Alexis said with a suspicious smile
"Alright Kido, I have some work compare to you." Daniel said with a smile and got into the pit box
Alexis and Lando started staring at each other, she loved these eyes, this smile, this face this person. She would be probably the miss him even more than the job.
"So this is the end." Lando said, Alexis nodded "Are you free Sunday night? Since it's your last night we need to celebrate it. But if you have something planned with Ferrari it's ok."
"I would love to celebrate my last night with you." Alexis softly said
"Great" Alexis hold back her tears, she will clearly miss him even if they don't fully know each other "I will send you a message for the meeting time." Lando smiled, winked at her and started getting into his pit box
Alexis was still walking around, once she arrived at the Ferrari pit box many engineers were working on the cars. Giulia was there as well, and smiled at her when she saw the French girl, she finished what she was doing and then joined Alexis.
"Did they offer you a job?" Giulia asked
"Who?" Alexis was a bit lost with the question
"McLaren? If it's a question of money we can think about it!" Giulia didn't want the girl to left Ferrari
"No, I'm happy where I am!" Alexis said with a smile
"Good." Then Giulia left her, to continue her work.
The meeting went well, nothing worrying the team was confident for a possible win here. At the end of the meeting Alexis noticed a notification from her F1 app:
Breaking News Russell is the new pilot for Mercedes, he signed a two years contract with the German team.
"Russell signed for Mercedes!" Alexis said, everyone started looking at her
"Really!" Giulia said
"No way, what about Bottas?" an engineer said
"Well deserved." Mattia added
"Yes, they just announce it like 10 minutes ago!" Alexis said with a smile
"Give me my money please!" Alessandro said, seemed like he did some bets
During the rest of the day, the new contract at Mercedes for Russell was the main topic of all the discussions. Alexis was truly happy for him, she knew that he deserved the seat rather than Bottas, he was a future Champion. Alexis received a notification from Instagram:

After her dinning team, Alexis reached her room to get ready for the little party. Sha was wearing a black hoodie, a black pair of jeans and her new sneakers some nike blazers. She took her back and was ready to go, while walking to the elevator, she saw Alessandro.
"Hey! Are your work going well?" Alexis asked
"Yes" Alessandro was a bit cold
"ok, are you sure you don't want to come?"
"yes" Alessandro was distant
"Alright, have a good night." Alexis didn't wait for his response; she was upset with his reaction. She knew he didn't like the place Lando had for her but still he could act like an adult at least, right?
Alexis got into the elevator and joined the group in the lobby, everyone was already there.
"Finally!" Alex said
"Sorry I met someone on my way."
"Wait" George scaned her outfit "Did you called Lando?" Alexis didn't get his point and started looking at Lando, and she realize what was the point "Like you are wearing the same stuffs from the hoodie to the shoes, it's worrying guys!" everyone started laughing
"He copied me, I'm his muse you know!" Alexis said laughing
"I was here first, so technically you copied on me. You are such a basic girl with no personality!" Lando said smiling

The group left thee hotel to reach a bar, it was George night! George and Alexis were walking side by side in front of the group.

"Approximately two weeks, like it was done. But I was discussing about it with Toto since January, but he needed some time to figure out who was the best choice for Mercedes: me or Bottas."
"Do you know if Bottas will stay in F1 next year?"

"I hope that I will be able to celebrate some of your victory, when I will be back in the UK!" Alexis smiled
"Definitely! But you are not working for Ferrari next year?" George looked at her
"I'm leaving Monday morning, needed to study but I will e back in the game in June!" Alexis said with some sadness
"I didn't know you were leaving, what a shame." George turned over and started watching Lando who was joking with the rest of the boys "Someone will miss you." He said chuckling
"No, I'm just someone he meets. I'm sure he will be fine with you guys." Alexis said with a fake smile
"By the way, you will join some of our game nights, right?" George looked at Alexis "We needed a revenge!"
"More than one!" Alexis laughed, and George pushed her with his shoulder
"What are you talking about?" Lando arrived next to Alexis, he putted his arm around Alexis' shoulders. For them it was a habitude now, Alexis didn't even react and George noticed that

"Me?" Lando asked surprised "I know I'm in all your dreams, but I need some privacy so please stop thinking of me constantly." He said with a smirk
"We ned to celebrate Alexis last weekend with us!" George said to the boys
"No it's your moment, not mine." Alexis was embarrassed with the situation
"Wait, you don't stay at Ferrari!" Alex asked
"I need to study boys, I will be back in June and this time for 1 year." Alexis replied
"No way!" Pierre said "What a loss for Ferrari!" Everyone started smiling except Charles
"At least we have the ALG2021!" Charles said winking

"Wait, are ALG standing for you initials?" Lando looked at Alexis who nodded, he started smiling "I'm impressed!" the two were still staring at each other, Lando's arm was warming Alexis. At this moment she knew that she won everything.
Finally, the group reached a bar everyone toasted to George contract they were all having fun. That was life, celebrating great achievements even if on the track they were all rivals, off the track they were a group of friends celebrating everyone victory.
"I will miss these nights!" Alexis said at Alex
"Yes, but you are a party animal I guess!" Alex chuckled
"Not really, it's more my best friend who push me to party all the time. I like being at home, reading, playing, working or whatever."
"You are like Lando, if we don't push him he will stay at his home streaming or whatever." Alex added
"Someone said my name, why?" Lando arrived, and sat next to Alexis. Lando once again puttes his arm around Alexis' shoulder, he didn't even realize it. It was natural.
"We were saying that you are not a party animal." Alex said
"Clearly not, there is no point of being drunk. More negative effects than good."
"I totally agree!" Alexis said
"How can you say that you party all the time!" Lando said, Alexis looked concerned "Yeah half of your posts are from parties!" Alexis started smiling
"You little stalker, and if I go to party, it's to be sure that my friend Sophie doesn't make out with everybody."
"Yeah, I might had look at some of your post. So you are that kind of friend?" Lando started staring at Alexis liked Alex wasn't even here, Alexis nodded
"It's too expensive to party, I prefer spending my money on other stuffs."

"Like vacation, activities, clothes, coffees, ice-creams." Alex left and the two didn't even notice, if Lando was able to dive into Alexis' eyes he would do it.
Around 11 pm, the group left the bar and got back to the hotel. Lando and Alexis were walking behind the group, they really look like twins with their matching outfit. Everyone got in his room, tomorrow was media day and all the attention will be and George.
Thursday, media day, went well. Nothing special on that day for Alexis, all the team prepared the cars for FP1 and FP2, wishing results as good as the previous weekend. After Sunday race Ferrari could be second on the constructor championship, this was the goal of the season. Alexis took time to appreciate every moment at the paddock.
Friday was a good day for Ferrari, they dive into their weekend strongly being P1 and P2 at each FP sessions. Seemed that the Mercedes domination was over, but Hamilton was still racing to write history. This man deserved to have his name written in gold, for his fights on and off the track, he was a real model for the society.
Saturday was qualy day, it was important to get result today. Ferrari was confident but was still afraid of the special Hamilton, not being that good during FP and then taking the pole without any difficulties. The Ferrari easily reached Q3, now it was the fight for pole. Charles ended up P3, Carlos P2 and the poleman was Hamilton whereas Bottas was P10. It wasn't a pole, but the fight wasn't over, the real fight was tomorrow.
Sunday morning Alexis went to the gym, she needed to cool down. It was officially her last day, it was painful and hard but Alexis needed to be a 100% for the race. After a huge breakfast, which was unusual for her but she decided to take advantage of everything today, Alexis reached the paddock for the final meeting. They discussed different strategies, all the scenarios and the plans. They were ready for the fight!
"And it's lights out and away we go! What a start for the Ferrari of Carlos Sain, but Hamilton was still in front. And Charles Leclerc gets passed by Max Verstappen. Bottas is now down in P12, we know why he will leave Mercedes next year. Leclerc is back in the fight with Max but he is still behind. Hamilton is flying more than 3 s in front of Sainz. And it's a crash for Stroll, lap 13 safety car is deployed.
There are a lot of debris, it will take some laps to clean up. Lap 17, safety car out at the end of the lap. And it's a restart Hamilton still in front, Charles pass Max. Bottas is fighting with is car he is now P13, and it's Russell behind him! Lap 40 Ferrari are still in P2 and P3, it's a strong weekend for the team again so far. And Norris overtakes Max Verstappen, seems that he is losing power. And it's Perez who had a contact with Ocon, no damage so far. But Mazepin in blocking Hamilton and Carlos is back in the fight, he will have the DRS in the next straight line, DRS open Sainz is so close and the mistake from Hamilton who brakes late and has to left the track. Sainz is now P1. 3 laps to go. And here come George Russell who pass his future car, a weekend to forget for Bottas.
Carlos Sainz win the race, here at Zandvoort ! Hamilton P2, Leclerc P3 and Russell P10 he scored his first points for Williams! Ferrari win three weekends in a row, what an achievement compares to last year!"
The weekend couldn't end up better for Alexis, Ferrari was now shining. Even if it was not her favourite team, she had a special link with it. The podium was once again emotional, he was so satisfying to see results and now Ferrari was second in the constructor championship. Clothing the gap with Mercedes would be difficult but not impossible.
For the diner many people from Ferrari were there since it was Alexis last diner with the team.
"I would like to thank you Alexis for all she had done for the team. You help the development of the rear wing, but also of the team. You were always smiling full of good energy, never afraid of late nights at the factory. You did a great work this summer, and eve me I'm surprise of that but I will miss you aver the next 9 months. Please don't come back with a child!" Mattia said, everyone started laughing
"Don't worry, child is not my plan for now!" Alexis smiled
"Alexis this is a little something from Carlos and I, but also from some of the drivers hope you will enjoy it!" Charles gave her a box, she putted it on the table and opened it. In there were many cards, some merch from different teams, all where signed. She recognized, Ferrari of course, McLaren, Alpha Tauri, Williams but the one which caught her gaze was a t-shirt from Mercedes. Alexis took it, it was one from Lewis but she also saw another one and this was from George.
"Actually, this one is quite unique, since the official merch with George number will be the 2022 one." Charles said
"I don't know what to say. Thank you so much this means the world to me, this was my childhood dream and now it's an adult reality!" It was unavoidable Alexis started crying "Thank you so much! I will never forget you!" Charles gave to hug her
The end of the diner was as emotional, but Alexis really enjoyed it like the rest it was heaven for her. She discussed with some Ferrari employees before getting to her room. She started looking closely to what was on the box. The were Ferrari t-shirts signed by Charles and Carlos such as caps; two polos from McLaren signed by Lando and Daniel and a cap as well signed by Lando, a hoodie from Daniel personal merch, a team quadrant hat and hoodie, a McLaren hoodie, a t-shirt from alpha tari signed by Pierre, a Williams t-shirt signed by George and the two Mercedes t-shirts.
"Wow there are so many things just for me, I don't even know if I have enough place for all these in my suitcases!" Alexis tried to put everything in her luggage and she finally succeed "I will read the cards tomorrow in the plane since I will have time to kill." She putted the 8 cards in her purse.

Alexis decided to unpack the quadrant hoodie to put it on for her night with Lando. Alexis reached the lobby, Lando was waiting on the sofa. When he heard her footsteps coming, she looked at her and stood up.
"Ready to go?" Lando asked
"Always!" Alexis smiled back
"Nice hoodie by the way!"
"Yeah! I found it in a box, look nice, isn't it?" Alexis said, Lando chuckled and put his arm around Alexis' shoulder
"You are stunning wearing it!" Lando winked at her "What do you want to do for your last night?" Lando asked while walking in the street
"I don't really know, but whatever this time a pay or I directly go back to the hotel!"
"Hold on, it's ok if that makes you happy then I'm happy!" Lando said
"I don't want to be back in the UK!" Alexis said with sadness
"The day you will work for McLaren you will have to leave in England, you know that right?" Lando asked fixing her
"This day will come, but for now England means studies."
"You really mean it?"
"What?" Alexis was lost
"That this day will come, you working for McLaren?" Lando looked at Alexis
"Yes, Lando this is my dream!" the two stared at each other
"So why didn't you accept Brent and Zak offer?"
"Because at that time it was only words, and I had already my contract with Ferrari. But be sure that the first team I will call for my next job is the papaya one!"
"Great! I will see you more often then!" Lando was happy with that
They continued walking in the city, sometime looking at the street sometime staring at each other. Alexis will miss these night walks.
"Do you want a waffle?" Alexis asked
"Sure, it's been a while since I ate one of these!" Lando smiled
They order their waffle and then found a bench to sit and eat.
"Is October 15th good for you? For the live?" Lando asked between two mouthfuls.
"Sounds good to me." Alexis nodded
"We needed to organise some game nights and stuffs like that. I can't believe that I won't see you during 9 months. Don't get pregnant!" Lando winked at her
"Why everyone is telling me that!" Alexis looked upset
"Wait someone told you that as well?" Lando started laughing
"Yes! Mattia did!" Alexis said with a sad face
"Poor girl!" lando was going to hug her
"Lando! Be careful of my waffle, it's too good don't want to throw it away!" Lando stopted his moved, and look disappointed "Don't look at me like that, let me finish my waffle and then you can do what you want!" Alexis smiled
"Ok, then hurry up I'm not gonna wait the whole night!" Lando said with authority
Alexis was finishing her waffle, Lando was focusing on all her moves.
"You are stressful!" Alexis said chickling, lando started smiling when she putted the last part in her mouth
"Finally!" Lando said with a huge smile
The two were staring at each other and smiling as well, but some tears started running on Alexis' cheeks, she tried hiding herself with no success.
"Hey come here!" Lando said opening his arms for Alexis, she putted her arms around his torso and her head in his neck. Lando started stroke Alexis' hair, he felt her warm breath against his skin. It was peaceful for Lando to be on contact with Alexis.
"I will miss all of this!" Alexis said sobbing, Lando pushed her gently so they were now facing each other. Lando placed his hands on Alexis' cheeks and wiped the tears.
"But you will be back, and this is the most important thing!" Lando said softly, smiling "Your journey just began, it was just a pit stop the finish line is still far away from you!" Alexis started smiling "I'm sure you will have some more moonish moments before we see each other again." Lando's voice was so soft, Alexis could listen to him for hours
"Nothing is moonish without you." Lando's smile was even wilder at this statement, Lando putted Alexis once again in his arm hugging her stronger. They didn't want to leave, they wanted to stay like that the rest of the night and even more.
Some tears were falling from Lando's eyes, he will miss this girl even if there was still so much to learn about her.
"Wanna leave?" Lando asked, Alexis shook her head to say no. They stayed like for a while, no one wanted to stop but Alexis had an early flight and it was already midnight.
"We need to go now, you don't want to miss your flight." Lando's voice was tremulous
"No, I want to stay here." Alexis' head was still in Lando's neck, he started stroking her hair
"I know but sometime we don't have the choice." Lando said
"This is false, we have always the choice." Alexis replied "And this time I will think with my head rather than my heart." Alexis went backwards, she was now facing Lando and started standing up. Lando stood up as well they started walking to the hotel, Lando grabbed her waist and Alexis placed her haed on Lando's shoulder.
Once they reached the hotel, they got into the elevator sharft.
"I will bring you to your room." Lando softly said, his hand was still on Alexis' waist and her head on his shoulder. Before the doors opened Lando placed a soft kiss on Alexis' forehead. Her eyes were wet. They walked through the corridor, and reached Alexis' room. They stopped in front of the door and started staring at each other, they were both crying. Lando pulled her in a warm hug, they would both miss each other. The hug last for minutes which seemed like hours. Lando gently started looking at Alexis, they were facing each other again. He placed a soft and long kiss on her forehead.
"See you Alexis" Lando said, tears were running over his cheeks
"See you Lando" Alexis was crying
Lando started move away.
"Lando!" Alexis shouted, the British turned over and saw Alexis running in the corridor she jumped in his arms "I don't want to lost you." Alexis said with a weeping voice

Wow, this part is emotional! while writtng it I was almost about to cry😭😭😭... But it's not the end don't worry there are still so many things to tell!!
Next few chapters will be a bit different since it's uni time and this is not the main part, so I will skip some stuffs it will more look like a social book I think but not so sure. I guess we will see...
