bruce had had an absolutely terrible day. he'd chosen to brave saturday new york traffic in order to get to his favorite restaurant, and ended up dealing with being recognized left and right, having to fake roar at so many little kids to make them happy and signing about a billion autographs. he was done. he was so done. the second he got back to the facility and safely into his bedroom, he couldn't even make it to the bed, just collapsing on the floor with his back against the door and bursting into tears as he took his glasses off and started shakily rocking back and forth to comfort himself. he regretted ever going out today, he thought in between racking sobs, tugging his knees to his chest and looping his arms around them as he rested his forehead against one knee. he wanted [your muse]— so when jarvis asked if he needed help, he was already crying out [their] name, letting the ai know to call [them] to come and help him. by the time they arrived, bruce had managed to make it to his bed, and was curled up under his special weighted blanket, still crying quietly. he was a mess, and just on the brink of emotional shutdown. he needed help.
