SHIVIKA'S engagement day
All guests have arrived in trivedi mansion include shivaay and his family. Harsh was introducing his to be sun-in-law to the guests. Everybody was either harsh's friends or his business partners
S: where is your family uncle?
A confused shivaay asked
H: hmm.. They are not with us
Harsh says hesitantly
S: why?
H: sorry for not informing you before. Annika is my one and only family. I know you might be confused and there is a lot of questions in your mind. But sorry to say I can't say the reason. Because I will never wanna say and think those things. I hope you can understand
Shivaay slightly nodded
S: ok.. I don't ask the reason. But.. Won't they join for marriage
H: don't know. maybe..
He sighed
After dressing up in navy blue lehenga annika descending the stairs. Her fairy skin has more glow today. Even though her smile was fake that has made her perfect. Shivaay was mesmerized by the sight as he was watching her for the first time like this rather than in short skirts and tops. She smiled at harsh when she stood up next to them. She hugged him
H: you look gorgeous Princess
He says after parted from the hug
A: only because you selected this for me. I just loved it dad. It's very beautiful. Isn't it?
A wide smile never left her lips
H: yes. After all, it's your to be husband's selection. I must he has a great taste in this all
He says watching her head to toe. Annika's smile faded away at the same moment. She thought her dad might have bought it when she rejected to go shopping by acting being ill. But she didn't know when shivaay went with her dad. Shivaay had a smile in corner of his lips. Annika excuses from there to avoid the embarrassment.

Shivika sit beside each other. The sound of claps echoed in the hall when shivaay slides the ring in annika's finger. 'Ahh' annika winced when she felt a slight pain in her finger. She looks at shivaay with a frown. He didn't reciprocate the look. Instead, he frees her palm from his hold not before caressing the place with his thumb where she felt the pain. She took her gaze from his face when he forwarded his hand. Shrugging off her thoughts, she slides the ring in his finger. Pinky caressed her head with a smile who was standing beside her. She raised her head before reciprocating the smile.
P: hi annika
A boy mid-20s approached annika while forwarding his hand
A: hii arun
She exclaimed while standing up. She hugged him gaining shivaay's attention
They parted from hug
A: how are you?
Ar: I am not good. You just remembered me after years
A: oh.. You talk like we were not in contact
She playfully hits on his shoulder
Ar: still you didn't come to meet me
A: you also could have come
Ar: I have come several times but you didn't. even once
A: didn't I tell you. You should visit here if I wanna meet me or if you wanna meet me. No arguments more. First learn to understand your friend
She twisted her lips
Ar: ok ok
(He holds his ears)
A: forgive you
She says in full of attitude
Ar: by the way. Introduce your fiance
He says glancing at shivaay who was already watching him
S: hi.. I am shivaay. Her fiance
Shivaay interrupted before annika could respond
Ar: halo.. I am arun. Annika's friend
He shakes his hand with shivaay.
He continues after pulling his hand back 'waise.. your husband is enough strong anu' he said while caressing his palm which was paining due to shivaay's tight hold
A: but not more than you
She says while pressing arun's muscles
S: yes baby. More than him
Annika gasped when shivaay grabbed her waist. She wriggled in his hold. Arun frowned when he saw her wriggling. Annika faked a smile and stood straight who noticed arun's frown.
A: go and enjoy arun. I would join soon
Ar: no need anu. You stay with shivaay. We can have a good talk after the function
He says while smiling. He got a nervous smile in return. Arun goes
A: leave me
She says to shivaay, gritting her teeth to keep the voice low
He leaves her not before pinching on her bare waist. She winced
A: youu....
He didn't pay attention rather he looks around as he doesn't know anything
H: You both come with me.
Harsh interrupted before taking them towards some guests

The hall was dark due to the dim light. Light falls in the centre of the hall welcoming the couple to dance to a romantic song. Shivika reached under the light though they hesitated.
Shivaay holds her by the waist when his other hand holds her right hand. Her left hand lay on his shoulder. They swing with the flow of music. He twirled her three times before pulling her. Shivaay noticed Annika's eyes that were finding difficult to keep open. Her grip on his shoulder was too tight. He thought she might have a drink
S: did you have drink?
A: no
Her voice was low. Even she couldn't speak well
S: what happened then? Why you can't open your eyes?
A: you.. don't need to.. Care for me
Shivaay sighs before twirling her again making her back hit his chest. He felt more weight. She had leaned on his body. Shivaay looks at her face. Her eyes were closed
S: Annika
He called normally
He frowned when she didn't respond
S: annika...
He calls again after holding her properly. He pats her cheek. But still, she was unconscious
Harsh rushed towards them when found something wrong. He called her several times controlling his tears. Shivaay scooped her in his arms when she didn't open her eyes

ABC hospital
Anika has taken inside the ward while harsh was getting worried outside. He was sitting on a bench covering his reddish face with palms. Shivaay kept his hand on his shoulder in order to console him. But even god can't console him right now. Shivaay has gotten few calls from his family by now. They were also getting tensed
H: what happened to my daughter all of a sudden?
Harsh questioned with a choking voice before standing up to walk here and there
S: does she have any....
H: No.. No.. She was perfectly fine shivaay
'excuse me'
Duo rushed towards doctor when heard his voice
S: is she fine?
D: a chemical has got mixed in her blood which can take her life within an hour (Dr declared making them shocked) Thank God the amount of chemical that reached her body was less than needed. Besides, you took her at the right time. I have injected. She is fine now. She will regain consciousness soon.
H: can we see her?
D: of course
Shivaay & harsh enters inside the ward

Annika opens her eyes slowly.
H: Aren't you fine anu?
Harsh asks caressing her head lovingly. Worry lines were visible on his forehead
A: I am fine dad
She says while sitting on the bed
H: you scared me
He did a long kiss on her forehead
A: what doctor said? Why I fainted all of a sudden
H: Dr said that a chemical had mixed in your blood
A: but how dad?
S: had you eaten anything?
Shivaay interrupted
A: no... But I had drunk juice. I just took three or four sips when I felt the taste weird
Without wasting a second harsh rushed outside the ward. His face expressed his anger.
A: dad.. Dad.. What happened
Harsh didn't pay attention to her calls. She tried to follow him getting down from the bed. Before she could do so, shivaay stopped
S: no. You lay here. I will look
Annika nodded in daze who was still trying to catch the sight of her father's retracting figure
Shivaay ran behind harsh. Harsh was shouting at the phone.
H: I want all CCTV footage right now
He yelled before disconnecting the call. He shivers due to high anger
S: uncle
He calls calmly
H: today I would have lost my daughter shivaay. Whoever did it.. I won't spare him
His thumb that was continuously taping his phone, proved his anxiety. His phone rang. He attends the call without wasting a nanosecond
P: I have sent all the records to your phone sir
Harsh didn't respond. Instead, he cuts the call to play the clips. Harsh and shivaay were keenly watching the video. They noticed a waiter mixing something in a glass of juice and serving it to Annika.
H: you go and stay with Annika. I wanna go home
Harsh said before shivaay could react and rushed out of the hospital

Annika was in deep thoughts. Her gaze was fixed on the engagement ring. She rolls it continuously. Shivaay cleared his throat to let her know his presence. He was standing there past 2 minutes
A: dad?
That was the first question she asked after came out of her thoughts
S: he went home
A: for what?
S: I don't know
A: you don't know mean. He won't leave like that.. Is everything alright?
S: he didn't tell me anything
A: you should have asked?
She got annoyed
S: I would have if he had spared some time
A: then what you were doing outside till now
S: you are questioning like I have pushed him out of the hospital
He rolls his eyes in disbelief
A: you are the one who didn't allow me to follow him. I would have asked him
She raised her voice
S: call...
Before he could compete a voice interrupts
Ar: anu...
Arun rushed inside the ward
'Are you fine anu? What happened to you all of a sudden?
Annika turned her head crossing her arms
A: are you coming now? After an hour
Ar: I didn't know about you fainted. I was in a call outside when happened that all. I am sorry... You are fine na?
He asked with concern
A: hmm.. Fine
She was not much convinced
Arun was silent for two minutes
Ar: hmm.. you are fine but not completely.
He says glancing at shivaay
He continues when she looked at him with a frown 'I have noticed something not fine. I mean.. You both.. You and shivaay. Isn't in a good connection. You two behaves weird'
'No we' annika tried to interrupt but arun didn't allow
'you both were fighting when I came here. Weren't you?'
A: that's a usual thing between us. Yes. We do fight often. that's only because we love each other that much
She said pulling shivaay by his lower arm to make arun believe her lie. Shivaay faked a smile to not spoil her drama
Ar: but..
A: no buts.
Ar: why I feel you are lying
A: I don't know why you feel like that but what I said is truth only.
Ar: don't try to fool me anu. Look your finance is silent till now. He would have justified you if he agrees with you. He didn't even nod. Something is wrong.. pakka
A: what proof you wanna believe me sir
Arun thinks for a moment
Ar: kiss him
Shivika's eyes widened in shock
A: WHAT?
she shouted. Arun crossed his arms against his chest with a sigh. Annika composed herself when realised, she is being caught.
Ar: why are you shouting. What's the problem with a kiss when you both love each other. Your reaction has proved I was right. There is something wrong. If you were not lying you would never react like this
A: Arun...
Ar: I don't want your excuses. I just wanna know what's going on
S: there is nothing like you think. She.. She is right. We are ok. Also.. How we can kiss in front of you as you say. You could have asked something else
A: No shivaay. He is stubborn
Annika pulled shivaay before placing a kiss on his cheek. Shivaay was shocked beyond limits but succeed in hiding his shocking reaction only to escape from arun's questions
'Did you believe now?'
Ar: a..ah
He stammered
A: You don't trust me at all'
She turned her head faking anger
Ar: ok ok I am sorry
He says holding his ears and making a puppy face

Harsh enters the hospital. He looks totally tensed. He directly went towards Annika's ward and sat beside her before caressing her head who was sitting on the bed.
H: where is shivaay?
A: he went to take medicine. Arun had come here. He is in washroom
H: hmm
A: why you left all of sudden. Ha? Is everything alright
H: I..I questioned that waiter who mixed that chemical in your juice
He hesitated to say further
A: what happened? tell me dad. Who did this? Who wanted to kill me?
Harsh was silent. A layer of tear formed in his eyes which was already tired of crying. His hair was messy
A: dad
She shook him by his shoulder
