By Your Side
They had been running through the halls, Aurora crashing into the demon as the ship listed. She shrieked as she started to fall only for her lover to quickly pull her back and then they found the Midford's. Aurora pulled her rapier and slashed at the undead creatures, fighting back to back with Sebastian. She suddenly threw herself in front of him to slash at one of the undead, "Sebastian! Be careful!" She scolded, "That thing could have killed you!" Sebastian chuckled, "I assure you I would have been fine, Miss Magne." Aurora narrowed her eyes at him and then quickly ducked behind him, allowing him to take a hit at one of the beings that had closed in on her. They were back to back, fighting side by side, an unstoppable pair.
"Arrgghhhh!" Aurora screamed as Sebastian tied her wounded arm to stop the bleeding. The demon had torn a bit of his partner's dress to tie the wound. Sebastian tilted her chin up, "Are you alright?" Aurora whimpered, "Yes... It just stings a bit.." Sebastian kissed her cheek and took her by the hand, "Come along, let us go find the master." Aurora nodded and was pulled into his arms, "Of course."
Sebastian was leading them through the vessel, trying to locate Ciel and Lady Elizabeth. Aurora suddenly stopped and put a hand to her abdomen. "Umph..." Sebastian paused, "What is it? Is something wrong?" Aurora shook her head, her breath heaving, "No... I'm fine... Just a little winded." Sebastian pulled her close and into his arms, "Do you need to sit down?" Aurora nodded slowly, a bit embarrassed. Sebastian sat her down and knelt before her, hands running along the contours of her face, trying to feel if she had a temperature. Aurora weakly batted his hands away, "No... I'm fine. You can go on ahead without me. Ciel needs you." Sebastian narrowed his eyes, "You must think I'm a fool if you think I would even consider leaving you." Aurora sighed, "You are incorrigible at times..." Sebastian chuckled, "And you love it." Aurora smiled and allowed him to help her to her feet, "Come, let's go get the lord and lady."
Sebastian lead the way to a second class room where he sat her down in a chair. "Wait here." He said worriedly. Aurora sighed, "Malphas, I'm fine. I promise. My arm just stings a bit. I've had worse." Sebastian narrowed his eyes, "You re still injured. You should at least rest for a moment." Aurora scoffed, "Sebastian Michaelis- I am perfectly fine. Now please stop worrying about me." Sebastian frowned and watched her for a moment in silence. Then he inspected her arm. It was slowly healing, now reduced to a rather large scab. He sighed, "This will not do..." Aurora squeaked in surprise as he scooped her up in his arms. "Malphas!" She gasped. Sebastian smirked holding her bridal style, "My lady is not well. If she cannot walk, I shall find other means of helping her." Aurora sighed, rolling her eyes. "My hero." She drawled, "Malphas, I'm fine. It isn't like I'm bleeding out."
The demon seemed to flinch at that comment and set her down to say seriously, "please, love- don't put the image in my head." Aurora smiled and draped her arms around his neck, standing on her toes to reach up and kiss the side of his neck, just below his jawline. "You would miss me if I were not within your arms, mon cher?" Sebastian sighed, "Yes. Of course. I would be deeply pained without you by my side, mon ange." Aurora smiled lovingly at him, her eyes seemed to sparkle at his words and she leaned forward to kiss him, the two sharing a tender moment amidst all the chaos. His arms came around her waist, holding her close, and Aurora gave a small noise as his hand traveled to her thigh and pulled the limb gently onto his hip. A sudden movement caught from the corner of Aurora's eye made her thrown the both of them backwards to avoid a piano slamming into them. Sebastian grunted and then looked to his lover, "Are you alright?" Aurora nodded, "Yes. Fine. Now come on, let's get a move on."
They had been rushing through the halls when Aurora suddenly pulled back. "Wait! We have to go to our room!" Sebastian looked at her in disbelief, "Why?! The ship is sinking if you have not noticed, Angelica! Everything else can be replace-" Aurora pulled away, "I'll meet up with you later!" Sebastian stared for a moment before taking off after her. "If you think I'm going to leave you alone on this blasted ship- you've got another thing coming!"
Aurora shoved open the door to her and Sebastian's room and ran to the bed and pulled out her suitcase. Sebastian raced in after her and shut the door behind him, eyes glowing crimson. "Angelica! What on earth could be so important that you had to come back here?!" The blonde was rifling through her bag desperation in her eyes. Sebastian snarled, "Angelica!" He grbabed her by the shoulders, turning her to face him. "We don't have time! Things can be replaced, love. You cannot be!" Aurora's eyes welled with tears. "B-But..." Sebastian kissed her, "No buts, cherie! There isn't time! We have to leave, now!" Aurora sniffled and obeyed, letting him pull her out of the room.
Aurora was shivering as they came out onto the deck. She held onto Sebastian's hand tightly, only to lose her grip on him as a rush of people pushed her back. Fear shot through her. "Sebastian!" She gasped as she started to tumble backwards over the railing. She started to scream when a firm hand grasped her wrist. "I've got you!" She looked up at Sebastian, he pulled her up and she pulled her arms around his chest, shaking. Sebastian sighed, "Come. Let's get the children." Aurora held onto him, "Wait!" Sebastian paused, "What is it?" Aurora shakily wrapped her arms around his neck. "I'm cold..." Sebastian held her close to his chest, she already had his tail coat wrapped around her. "Let me carry you." He said after a moment. Aurora nodded and let him scoop her up in his arms, her eyes fluttering shut as she heard his steady heart beat.
"Angelica!"
His voice jolted her and he patted her face gently. "Wake up! Angel, you cannot sleep!" Aurora nodded and tightened her grip on him. "Yes. I know." Sebastian carried her across the deck and they felt the ship list as they rushed through one of the dining rooms only to have a table crash into them, knocking them both to the ground. Aurora was up first and pulled Sebastian from the wreckage. "Are you alright?" She asked him. Sebastian nodded, "Yes. I'm fine. And you?" His hand caressed her face and she nodded. "Yes. Fine." Sebastian leaned down to kiss her when Aurora suddenly tackled him to avoid a curio coming their way. Sebastian grunted as his back and shoulder blade collided with a sharp corner and grimaced in slight pain at the discomfort. Aurora had landed beside him, in a pile of wreckage and gasping at the slight pain. She flinched as a new piece of furniture barreled into both her and Sebastian, pinning them to the wall. Aurora felt her legs be pinned under the rubble, she noticed Sebastian's torso was pinned by the wreckage as well. Aurora coughed, "Sebastian! I can't move!" She looked alarmed as the ship listed further, and the demon growled, eyes flaring as he pushed the debris off of his body. When he was free, he launched himself forward, stopping the falling furniture from hitting both him and Aurora. He reached down to her from atop some of the debris. "Give me your hand, I'll pull you up." Aurora nodded and reached her arms up catching his hands in her own. Sebastian gripped her hands firmly, "Start climbing the furniture as I pull you up." Aurora nodded and obeyed him, climbing before the demon finally pulled her free. She squeaked as she came crashing into the demon, both of them falling on the other side of the ship. Sebastian pulled his lover to her feet and out of the room, "Come with me." Aurora sighed running to keep up with him. "Oh Malphas. Always."
A while later, when they were walking with Ciel and Elizabeth, Aurora shivered, her arms wrapped around her body, "This ship is getting colder and colder." She whispered to the demon. Sebastian frowned and pulled his arm around her. "Come here then." Aurora nodded, sticking close to her lover's side, her teeth chattering. Her arms wrapped around his neck as he swept her into his arms, Carrying her bridal style. Ciel and Lizzie glanced back, slightly confused, but the two just shared a look and shrugged. It was cold. But neither of the two of them were cold enough to need to be carried. While they walked through the ship, Aurora tugged on Sebastian's shirt collar, making him pause. "Hmm?" Aurora looked at him worriedly, "Something bad is going to happen." Sebastian frowned, "What makes you say that?" He asked. Aurora shook her head. "Premonition, I think..." Sebastian kissed her cheek. "I assure you, my lady I will do my upmost to protect you."
Aurora cuddled close to him, letting him carry her for a while longer before she began walking on her own. When it came to the fight with Grelle and Ronald, Aurora stumbled a bit. Sebastian's eyes were on her when she tumbled, and she yelped, "Sebastian! Look out!" He barely had time to move before Ronald lunged at him, reaper scythe at hand. Aurora squeezed her eyes shut, unable to look. A few moments later, Ronald and Grelle left and Sebastian was by her side, checking her for wounds. "Are you alright?" He asked worriedly. Aurora pulled him over, eyes scanning his figure, letting out a sigh of relief when she realized he was alright. She nodded, letting his pull her to her feet and then into his arms. "Yes. I'm alright." Sebastian pulled her close, "Thank goodness." He then turned his attention to the children, Lizzie wailing about how Ciel hated strong women, and then how Ciel must have hated her. This earned a blush from the boy which caused the butler to burst into laughter.
When they arrived at the life boats, Sebastian glared at his blonde companion. "Aurora- get into the life boat. Now." Aurora hissed, "No! No! I am not leaving you here!" She grabbed the lapels of his coat, "You- you promised! You promised you would never leave me again! You promised you would never abandon me!" Sebastian sighed, "I am not abandoning you. It is for your own safety," he took her by the shoulders, "Love, please. I'm doing this to protect you." Aurora shook her head, "No! No, you are leaving me!" Tears streamed down her face, and she held onto the demon, gasping as his hand lashed out to one of her pressure points, knocking her unconscious.
Several hours later, as Aurora sat curled up beside Sebastian on the rescue ship, bundled in blankets, she shivered and looked up at him. "S-Se-Sebas-Sebastian... It's so... cold..." Her new fiancée pulled her to his chest, comforting her. "Relax. It's alright. I have you." He looked down at her, "I will always have you, mon ange. I promise."
