The Trio
Kuroo, Kenma & Y/n.
-Middle school-
"KENMA YOU CHEATER!" Y/n yelled as he tossed his Psp on the raven heads bed
Y/n was staying at Kenma's for a while since he decided to finally ran away from that mansion, though he felt bad leaving his sister Mitsuki.
But ever since the disappearance of his brother he changed into a different person that even Kuroo and Kenma couldn't recognise sometimes
"I'm not cheating, you just can't play really well." Kenma said not looking away from his screen
"Oh please, I defeated that boss on level 3!" Y/n boasted
"It's only because you're already on level 26, you already have your weapons and skills upgraded." Kenma said finally giving Y/n a smug look
"I.. Wha-.. Well.. Whatever!" Y/n said picking up his psp and turning his back on Kenma
The two continued to play in silence only the sound can be heard was the music and battle sound effects coming from their psp and groans from Y/n since he kept dying.
"Why does Kuroo even have to graduate?" Y/n whined as he turned around laying his head ontop of kenma's lap which he didn't mind at all
"That's how school works." Kenma said
"But because of that we rarely hang out anymore." Y/n said placing down his psp and staring at the ceiling with an unreadable expression
"Kuroo sometimes visits us, you know that." Kenma said turning his psp off and placing it ontop of the desk beside his bed where the rest of his gaming stuffs are.
"The last time we saw each other was-"
"Three hours ago.." Kenma cuts him off
"Whatever I still miss him." Y/n said shrugging
Kenma sighed and decided to play with the male's hair, he couldn't help but to think whether Y/n had feelings for their friend. He couldn't help it but after living with Y/n ever since they started middle school...
He's starting to see him more than just a friend..
He still doesn't know whether Y/n swings that way that's why he's scared to confess of else he'll just get rejected and it'll ruin their friendship..
"-ma.. Kenmaaaa"
Kenma snapped out of his thoughts when he saw a hand waving in front of his face, he looked at Y/n and saw him staring back at him with a worried expression.
"You okay?" Y/n asked
"Yeah.. Just thinking" Kenma said while running his fingers through Y/n's [h/c] hair
"Thinking about me?" Y/n smirks at Kenma but hissed when the male flicks his forehead
"Stop it."
"Right, sorry..."

"What's this?" Y/n asked while holding a bottle of what seemed to be a juice
"Protein shake.. I made it myself." Kuroo said sounding proudly
"What's in it?" Y/n asked suspiciously as he shakes the beverage
"Vegetables and fruits." Kuroo said
"Don't drink it Y/n, it might poison you." Kenma said standing beside Y/n still glued to his psp
"Oi Kenma! I wouldn't do that!" Kuroo snapped
"You already did, remember when you have Y/n your homemade curry and we had to send him to the hospital from food poisoning?" Kenma said leaning his head ontop of Y/n shoulder still playing.
"I- That was an accident!" Kuroo said bawling both his fist as he glares at Kenma
"As much as I appreciate your concern Kenma but if this drink really did poison me then it must be my lucky day." Y/n said as he twisted the bottle cap and took a sniff of the beverage
"Holy shit, what did you put in here a dirty old man's sock?" Y/n asked while cringing at the smell
"Now your just making fun of my hard work." Kuroo said rolling his eyes
"Pfft hard work.. Yeah right, well here goes nothing" Y/n said gulping as he placed the lid near his lips
He took a few sips and he almost vomited at how terrible it taste, a nasty vile was threatening to come up his throat but he forced to swallowed it back in and felt his body shakes in pure disgust
"Kuroo?"
"Yeah?"
"It's horrible."
"Oh."
"Told ya."
"KENMA!"
"A-are you really leaving Tokyo?" Kenma asked as he stare at Y/n's packed luggages with a sad expression
"Yeah, I just can't stay here any longer knowing that my parents can just randomly burst through the door and take me back with them.." Y/n said zipping up his backpack
"But.. What about high-school? I thought you were going to Nekoma with us?" Kenma asked sitting on the bed while staring at the carpeted floor
"Kenma I don't have enough time for this, I need to go or I'll miss the bus." Y/n said picking up his bag and placing it ontop of his luggage
"You're... Leaving me?" Kenma asked in a broken voice
Y/n stopped by the doorway, he was frozen in spot when he realised that he was about to leave his childhood friends house along with his friend alone
Is he really making the right decisions here?
"Kenma.." Y/n whispered as he drops his bag and turned only to feel his heart drops when he saw Kenma wiping his tears by the back of his hands
Y/n slowly went towards him and kneels in front of him, he slowly reached out his hand to wipe his tears
He slowly pulled Kenma into a tight hug, he felt Kenma held to him tighter as if not wanting to let go
"Kenma, you're acting as if we're never gonna see each other again." Y/n chuckled sadly as he gently caressed the back of his friend who's full on sobbing on his shoulder
"I-I just.. Can't understand why you need to leave...we can always.. M-move." Kenma said pulling away from the hug and looking at Y/n who's also has tears in his eyes
"Kenma I can't take you with me, you know how messed up my family is besides we can still see each other during practice matches or during the match!" Y/n said trying to lighten up the mood
"I don't care about your family... Why can't you understand that I don't want you to leave because I like you!" Kenma yelled and immediately regrets it
Yep he fucked up, Y/n's gonna think of him weirdly and avoids him..
Way to go Kenma, you fucked up.
His eyes continued to stare at Y/n's [E/C] eyes searching for any types of reactions, he was expecting for him to get angry but instead he Was surprised when he saw him smiled warmly
"Geez..I like you too Kenma, its like having a brother again." Y/n said smiling
Oh, just a brother.. That's how Y/n thinks about him, he could hear his heart shattering like glasses inside his rib cage
He felt as if this is far worst than the famous 'Friendzone'.
"Kenma? I'm sorry but.. I really have to go, thank you for everything Kenma I'll never forget about you I promise." Y/n said smiling as he give Kenma a final hug before heading out of the room and towards the front door
Kenma let's out a heavy breath as he tried to calm himself down, he could feel him getting a panic attack and the only person who he can call was Kuroo who's still in practice.
He shakily dialed his number.
"What's up?"
"He already left.."
"Y/n?" Kenma called, Y/n's [E/C] hues shifted from Hinata to him while raising an eyebrow
"Do I know you?" He asked, Kenma was taken a back by his coldness
"Eh? You two know each other?" hinata asked while standing I'm between the two
"I've never seen him before.." Y/n's voice trailed when kenma's eyes softened
"I'm..sorry I thought you were someone I knew" Kenma muttered, Hinata was about to say something when seone beats him to it
"Kenma!" Y/n lowered his head and tried to hide his face with his hair when he heard the familiar voice
"Oh its Kuroo" Kenma said picking up his bag and turning towards the captain
"Until next time, Shouyo..Y/n" Kenma said before leaving
Kenma felt tears prickling his eyes as he went towards Kuroo who's now the captain in nekoma
"Ah there you-.. Woah what happened?" Kuroo asked once he saw how red kenma's eyes have become
"I...nothing I just got something in my eyes." Kenma said walking past Kuroo who looked at him with a confused expression
"Oh right I forgot to mention, we have a golden week coming so you better practice properly!" Kuroo said but was surprised when Kenma didn't say anything
Usually Kenma would come up with something to say to him but right now he's just quiet and just walking..
"Kenm-"
"Kuroo, he doesn't know me anymore.."
