11 ~~STREET-LATE AFTERNOON~~ 11
Y/n is walking down the street slowly with her head down, staring at the ground.
She has been walking like this for a while while simultaneously thinking about all that has happened.
She then bumps into someone.
Y/N
Oh I'm sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going.
PETER
No, no, it's okay. I wasn't looking either.
She recognizes the voice and looks up.
The person she ran into was Peter Parker.
She doesn't say anything and begins smiling involuntarily.
PETER
Say, don't you go to my school?
Y/N
Uh yeah.
PETER
Oh and you also work for the school paper. It's y/n, right?
Y/N
Um yeah, that's me.
PETER
What a coincidence running into you of all people in New York City.
Y/N
Yeah. It's pretty crazy. Um, are you going somewhere?
PETER
Oh uh yeah. I was just heading to the downtown library.
Y/N
Well isn't that back there?
PETER
Is it? I guess I don't know where I'm going.
Y/n chuckles and moves her hair that's in her face with her right hand.
Peter watches and notices the red marks on her wrist.
PETER
Hey, what happened there?
Y/N
Oh, that? It's nothing.
PETER
Is that too personal of a question?
Y/N
Oh no, it's fine. I was just messing around at the Bronx Zoo where my mom works and got bit by a lizard.
PETER
Oh wow, okay. That's something you don't hear everyday.
Y/n chuckles awkwardly.
Y/N
Yeah.
PETER
So, your mom works at the Bronx Zoo?
Y/N
Yeah. She's a zookeeper.
PETER
That's really cool. I'll have to stop by sometime.
Y/N
Yeah you should.
Y/n looks down at Peter and notices a bump on his right hand.
Y/N
Where'd you get that from, if that's not too personal of a question?
Peter laughs awkwardly.
PETER
Uh I hit it against a pole. I was walking by and didn't see it.
Y/N
Ouch. I'm sure that was painful.
PETER
Yeah, it felt like I hit a scooter against my ankle.
Y/N
Ow.
All of a sudden, y/n and Peter sense an approaching danger and both leap to the left.
A bicyclist comes flying by.
Peter looks at y/n while she looks at herself and the ground.
They then look at each other.
PETER
What did you say those marks were from?
Y/N
Um a lizard bite.
PETER
A lizard bite?
Y/N
Yes.
PETER
From the Bronx Zoo?
Y/N
Yes.
PETER
Do you know the specific type of lizard?
Y/N
Uh...a special one?
PETER
What does that mean?
Y/N
It was in a lab, and the lizard was genetically modified.
Peter looks at y/n with wide eyes and a shocked expression.
PETER
Can you come with me for a second?
Peter then begins walking as y/n reluctantly follows.
He leads her down an alleyway and stops.
12 ~~EXT. ALLEYWAY~~ 12
Peter and y/n are standing in an alleyway.
Y/n is getting nervous, not knowing what Peter is going to do.
PETER
Okay. So you know how you jumped earlier?
Y/N
Yeah.
PETER
Do that again.
Y/N
Um okay.
Y/n looks straight ahead, then at the ground.
She takes a deep breath and jumps.
She jumps really far forward.
She turns around and sees Peter looking shocked.
PETER
Wow. Is there anything else you can do?
Y/n hesitates at first, but then closes her eyes tightly and puts all of her focus on her tongue.
She then makes it shoot out all the way in front of Peter's face, and makes it come back.
Peter laughs with amazement.
Y/n keeps her eyes closed and puts all of her focus on changing her skin color.
She opens her eyes and her skin is green and covered with scales again.
Peter stands there, shocked.
She jumps again and lands in front of him.
He looks down at her and puts his hand on her left arm.
He slides his hand along it and then retracts it.
Neither of them say anything.
PETER
Um, how long have you known you can do this stuff?
Y/N
Since about an hour ago.
PETER
Really? When did you get bit?
Y/N
Last night.
PETER
Last night?
Y/n nods her head.
Peter doesn't say anything.
PETER
I haven't been entirely honest with you, which isn't fair because you've been nothing but honest with me. You even let me see your powers. They are incredible by the way, but when I said that this was from hitting a pole, I lied. I actually got it from a spider bite.
Y/n stares at Peter with wide eyes and a confused look on her face.
PETER
Remember that field trip we went on on Thursday?
Y/n nods her head.
PETER
Well, one of the genetic super-spiders there, bit me. And now I have powers too. Except mine are like this.
Peter makes a gesture with his left hand and a web shoots out.
PETER
And this.
Peter sets down the paper bag he was carrying and stands next to the alleyway wall.
He begins climbing it.
Y/n watches him in awe.
He reaches the top and shoots a web out of his wrist.
He then swings down from it and lands on the ground.
PETER
So whaddya think?
Y/N
I think it's amazing.
PETER
I can also fight really well now, which is why what happened yesterday happened.
Y/N
Oh. That makes so much more sense now. Your vision got corrected too, didn't it?
PETER
Yeah. I don't even have to wear glasses anymore.
Y/N
Yeah, me neither.
PETER
You know, I thought I was the only one who could do stuff like this. It was a lot of pressure, but thankfully there's someone else who can do it too. And it's someone I know.
Y/N
Yeah, it's very relieving.
PETER
Yes it is.
They both smile and laugh.
They then don't say anything and look at the ground.
Y/N
Lizards can climb walls too, right?
PETER
Yeah, they can.
Y/n walks up to the alleyway wall.
She stands there and looks straight ahead at it, then looks up at the top of it.
She takes a deep breath and begins scaling the wall like Peter did earlier.
Peter laughs with amazement.
PETER
You're doing it!
Y/n keeps going and begins smiling and laughing.
She reaches the top and sits on the edge.
Y/N
Looks like I can do some of your powers too, Parker.
PETER
Yeah. Hey, if you keep at it, you're gonna outbest me.
Y/N
That sounds like a challenge.
They both laugh.
Peter notices the sky getting darker and his smile fades.
PETER
Oh, I got to go.
Y/N
Go? Where? To the library or was that a lie too?
Y/n continues smiling and laughs, but notices Peter doesn't.
Peter is looking at the ground, serious.
Y/n smile fades and she begins to look worried.
Y/N
Hey, are you okay? I'm sorry about what I said. It was kind of mean now that I think about it.
PETER
No, it's okay. You were right. I wasn't going to the library. I was actually going to a wrestling match.
Y/N
A wrestling match? Why?
PETER
I was gonna compete in it and try to win $3000.
Y/N
Peter, you could get killed.
PETER
I've got my powers.
Y/N
Still. Are you sure this is a good idea?
PETER
It's my decision, okay? I know what I'm doing.
Y/N
No, you don't. You're just a kid!
PETER
Oh and what? You're not?
Y/N
I'm a kid too, but I'm not the one entering a wrestling match! I really wish you would think this through.
PETER
I have thought it through and I'm doing it.
Y/n doesn't say anything.
Suddenly, she gets a determined look on her face.

All right then.
Y/n slides down the wall and lands on the ground on her feet hard.
Y/N
I'm coming with you.
PETER
What?
Y/N
I'm coming with you. If you're going to do something stupid, I want to be there.
Peter doesn't say anything.
He just stands there, confused.
Y/N
Which way is it?
PETER
Um, this way.
Y/n begins walking at a fast pace in the direction Peter pointed.
At first, he just watches her in confusion, but then grabs his paper bag and starts running to catch up to her.
