"Guys... we'll talk about this later. For now we need to figure out how this guy was turned into a Grimm." You tell them.
"Could it be man-made?" King asks. Ban walks over to the man and sees an odd organism attached to him. He yanks it off.
"Mm... maybe, but who would do that?"
"Hendrickson." Gowther says.
"You figure something out Gowther?" A light arrow is piercing the creature.
"The person responsible for this transformation, is Huntsman Leader Hendrickson."
"Can he create Grimm?"
"No there's one more. A woman. She has pale skin and a dark expression across her face. Captain? Is this the same women from from all those years ago?" You step forward.
"Yeah. It's her. Salem..."
"She must be the mastermind and creator of this amalgamation of humanity and Grimm." King says. He gasps.
"If she's infiltrated he Huntsman Academies, she could take over each Kingdom with weeks!"
"Well, looks like we're going to Beacon."
"Firstly." Ban crushes the creature in his hand.
"I need at drink. Let's get back to the Tavern."
"I bet Diane is worried."
"Oh yeah, about the Cap'n." King grunts in annoyance. You walk up to Ruby.
"Thanks to you my mind is clear. Now c'mon, let's get back and take a breather."
Later...
"Gowther, I want you to meet four young ladies." King introduces Team RWBY.
"Hi I'm Yang Xiang Long!"
"Hello Yang."
"I'm Blake Belladonna."
"A Belladonna? Intriguing." He says.
"Greetings, I am Weiss Schnee." Weiss curtsies.
"A pleasure Ms. Schnee." He looks at Ruby.
"Gowther? Will you help us locate the rest of the Sins?" Ruby asks.
"No." Everyone is shocked.
"No?" Ruby asks.
"This is not the first time we have met, unless you are not Summer, in which case, that would make you her daughter, Ruby. Am I correct?"
"I am... I'm Ruby Rose."
"I can tell by your eyes. You both have the same optimism shining deep within them." Gowther continues.
"Which is why we need you buddy. Whad'dya say? Wanna help us locate the rest of the gang?"
"I will. I also assume we are protecting Ruby and her friends considering they are not licensed Huntresses yet."
"Yeah! And with Gowther that brings our Sin count up to five! I say let's get drunk to celebrate!" Ban and Diane cheer, King has an expression of excitement on his face.
"Wait, you're letting us drink?" Weiss asks. You look at the heiress.
"Normally I wouldn't, but since your bases are covered by some of the most powerful people on the planet, I'll allow it once." You say holding up one finger.
"Just don't go too crazy, Vacuian Ale is hot stuff. I need you guys at your bests tomorrow!" You tell them. They all jump, even Weiss who was never allowed to do this.
Later...
"Oh we messed up." Yang says in a drunken voice.
"What- *hic* What are you talking about? *hic*" Weiss asks her friend.
"I didn't mind it that much." Blake, the only one left standing says.
"Uuuuuggghghhh..." Ruby groans. You walk over toward Gowther.
"So Gowther, ten years ago, when we were all framed for killing the headmaster of Atlas Academy. I was wondering if you knew—." Gowther sticks you with a his magic.
"I know what you want to ask me. I can see your own memory is clouded. You wish to find out who assaulted you when we fled."
"Do you know?" You ask.
"It was The Boar Sin of Gluttony..."
"Merlin."
"What?"
"I don't know the reasoning as to why. Everytime I got news but she would disappear before I could follow the lead." Ban quickly pulls Gowther away.
"Hey guys! You won't believe it, but Gowther picked out King by his B.O.!"
"Along with his bone structure and tone."
"Really? By his smell?" Diane asks.
"That's funny. Kehe..." Yang giggles.
"Oh, I'll fix this." Gowther shoot a light arrow at each of Team RWBY. They all snap out of their drunkenness.
"Wait what?! That's awesome!"
"Guys, I'm curious how Gowther did that."
"Let's all have a smell!" Ban pulls King toward him, Hawk, Diane, and Ruby.
*sniff... sniff sniff..." Ban and Hawk sniff him.
"Hm... kinda sickly sweet is it?"
"Like a field of flowers!" Hawk says.
"Hey—!" Uh!" King is stopped by Diane and Ruby joining in the fun.
"It smells so... familiar."
"Exactly what you'd expect him to smell like!" Ruby says.
"Gah! Guys knock it off! If you keep crowding me I might—!" Kings transforms into his fatter self.
*sniff... sniff..."
"Now he smells kinda sour..."
"Like sweaty socks."
"Hey c'mon guys. It's not that bad!"
"This one smells familiar too!"
"What's the big idea ganging up on me!" King yells at Gowther after transforming back to his smaller frame.
"I haven't done anything to you."
"Of course you did! You started this mess so you need to clean it up!"
"Very well." Gowther shoots four light arrows at Diane, Ban, Yang and Weiss respectively.
"Diane. You claim to be 29 feet tall, when in fact you know you actually closer to 30" Diane recoils back in shock.
"The fudging of your weight is even more severe—." Diane's fists begin to barrage Gowther.
"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU GOWTHER! A LADY IS ALLOWED TO KEEP SOME SECRETS YOU KNOW!"
"What's the point in lying about a foot when you're as tall as she is?"
"You're a boy, you wouldn't understand." Blake
says.
"As for you Ban, during the battle of Shade 12 years ago, you got rather unreasonably drunk before fighting the Grimm."
"Yeah that's right. I got pretty hammered and decided not to join the mission. I said I was sorry."
"But you didn't apologize for using Physical Hunt to steal King and Diane's power. Or for laughing at them as you watched them both struggle." Ban spits out his drink and Yang laughs.
"Oooh so that's why I felt so weak all of a sudden."
"That's was you?"
"C'mon guys it was a long time ago. Forgive and forg—?" Diane picks him up and crushes him, blood comes fountaining out from her hand, he comes back and pushes her fingers apart.
"Woah! It wasn't my finest moment but I don't deserve this!" He turns to Yang.
"Yang. 6 years ago, when your father came home from work. You told your father that Ruby put that shell in your dog's food."
"YANG!!" Ruby screams out.
"Nothing happened from it!" Yang screams out.
"On the contrary, Ruby hasn't received ammunition from her father since."
"YANG!!!"
"I'M SORRY!!" Yang is being chased by Ruby in circles.
"Ms. Schnee. Your hatred for the Faunus stems from a trauma. One that has happened to your family personally." Weiss steps up from her stump.
"Gowther enough!" She yells.
"The White Fang? I see... a raid on a Dust shipment." Blake perks up, listening intently now.
"No, multiple raids, over your childhood." He takes off his glasses.
"You've lost family members to the bloodshed."
"I would appreciate it if you could stop please." Weiss says quietly.
"Alright Gowther, no need to air dirty laundry." You tell him.
"That's right, not that I have any!" You snicker at his remark.
"Hey Meliodas! Your meat is out of the oven!" You hear Team RWBY all shout out.
"Thanks girls!" You and the four begin to talk about the day and the events of tomorrow.
"Do those four girls love the Captain?" Ban, King, and Team RWBY all immediately choke on themselves.
"All of their heart rates, and blood pressure rise whenever they speak to him. I know this condition, it's called love." Gowther points at them.
"STOP TALKING YOU IDIOT!" King screams out.
"Oh man we're really in for it now. No need to break down the forest right Diane?!" They both turn around and look at her. Sound asleep. They collapse due to shock.
"Hey Ruby?" She looks at you, worried about what you'll ask.
"Thank you."
"For what?"
"It's not that Summer wanted me to fight, but to fight and protect. You've helped clear my mind." You both sit down while the rest of Team RWBY moves to assault Gowther.
"If you don't mind me asking, what was Mom like?"
"You two were different in a lot of ways, Summer was very headstrong like Yang, battle-smart like Blake, and polite and regal-esque like Weiss. But you and her shared a lot of things in common."
"Like what?"
"Your hair, weapons and personality are all the exact same. You're practically a mini Summer." Ruby adjust herself in her seat.
"That old man said he knew you and Summer. He also mentioned my eyes. He said... they were special." You exhale.
"I don't know a lot about your eyes, I'll be honest. That's a question better suited for Ozpin or your family." You give her an omission of truth. It's not a lie, all you know is her eyes can annihilate Grimm, you know nothing about why.
"I see. Thank you Meliodas." You stand up and chuckle.
"Of course! Anything for little red riding hood!" You joke.
"Hey everyone! C'mon, we've gotta go discuss our plans!" You scream out. Everyone follows you inside of the Boar Hat and you all take off toward Vale."
