Rengoku's POV:
Finally we arrived at Kamakura. I could literally sense Akaza's presence everywhere, meaning he had probably been looking for me. Shit.
Mitsuri: "This town has such good food."
Kyojuro: "I know, but we should find Akaza first before eating."
Mitsuri: "Yeah, okay."
Kyojuro: "I'm sure you can sense his presence as well, right?"
Mitsuri: "Yeah, but it feels stronger this way."
She points down a street. We walk down there. There are a bunch of food, clothing and jewelry stands. My mouth starts to water as I start to smell the fresh cooked food. Mitsuri's mouth is watering as well.
Kyojuro: "We must resist. Akaza is our main priority."
Mitsuri: "Can't we just get something small? Like a chicken wrap?"
Kyojuro: "...Yeah okay."
Mitsuri stands in line while I look around a bit. She runs back over to me 5 minutes later, holding 2 chicken wraps.
Mitsuri: "One for me and one for you."
Kyojuro: "Thank you."
We walked down the street crowded with people. I saw a few guys look at Mitsuri's chest which made me feel a bit protective, but I'm sure she was enjoying this.
Mitsuri: "Damn, where is that demon?"
Kyojuro: "I can sense his presence is getting stronger at the end of the street, so he might be down there."
We both finished out chicken wrap as we neared the end of the street. Suddenly I heard a loud burp. I looked over at Mitsuri, who had her hand over her mouth and was blushing. We looked at each other for a second before bursting out into laughter.
Kyojuro: "Wow, nice burp, Mitsuri."
Mitsuri: "That was so loud I'm so embarrassed."
We laughed a bit before we reached the end of the street. I looked forward and went wide eyed. Sitting at the fountain in front of me, was the Upper Moon Three. He was looking at me, but also at Mitsuri, who was still laughing.
Kyojuro: "Akaza."
Mitsuri: "Wha? Huh?"
She stopped laughing and looked in the direction that I was looking. She went wide eyed as well. Akaza grabbed a large black hat and put it on as he got up from the fountain. He blinked and shook his head before jogging towards us.
Akaza: "Kyojuro, you made it!"
My fucking pulse started to raise a bit as he got closer. What was he wearing? He had some sort of blanket on him and that hat. Was that his disguise? Oh hell no, we're getting him some actual clothing. I looked over at Mitsuri, who had a big smile on her face.
Kyojuro: "Of course I made it, you would've killed me if I didn't."
Akaza: "Mhm! So anyways.."
Akaza looked at Mitsuri and frowned a little.
Akaza: "So.. Who is she?"
Mitsuri: "O-Oh! I'm sorry, let me introduce myself. My name is Mitsuri Kanroji, the Love Hashira. I am a Demon Slayer like Kyojuro and one of his closest friends. I wanted to come with him to Kamakura because I just couldn't wait to meet you! You're so pretty and I love your stripes!"
Akaza looked relieved. He blushes a little from her compliments.
Akaza: "W-wow, thanks. No one has ever told me that. It's nice to meet you, Mitsuri. I'm sure you already know this but I'm the Upper Moon Three, Akaza."
Mitsuri walked around him and then took his hat off. She saw his hair and immediately got excited.
Mitsuri: "OH MY GOD YOUR HAIR! IT'S PINK LIKE MINE!"
Akaza: "Do you like it?"
Mitsuri: "I LOVE ITTT!!"
Akaza chuckled and scratched the back of his head.
Mitsuri: "KYOJURO, LOOK! WE CAN BE PINK HAIRED BESTIES!"
Akaza and Mitsuri both look at me and smile. I scoff and roll my eyes.
Kyojuro: "More like Pink Haired Bastards.."
Akaza turned to Mitsuri.
Akaza: "So, how is your hair pink and green?"
Mitsuri: "Oh! I ate so much Sakura Mochi that it permanently dyed my hair."
Akaza: "Dear God."
Mitsuri: "What about you?"
Akaza: "It was colored this way after I became a demon. Although my eyelashes have always been a shade of pink."
Mitsuri: "I love your eyelashes so much."
Akaza: "Aw, thank you."
I chuckled at their compliments.
Kyojuro: "Anyways, Akaza what are you wearing?"
Akaza looked down at his disguise and rubbed his head.
Akaza: "Well, I may have forgotten to cover up so I found this old blanket in an alleyway and stole, I mean found this hat in the alleyway as well."
I sigh. I look over at Mitsuri's plastic bag.
Kyojuro: "How much money do we have?"
Mitsuri: "I have no idea, I just grabbed a lot on my way out."
Kyojuro: "Okay, but there's definitely enough to buy him new clothes, right?"
Mitsuri: "I'm sure there's enough money for all three of us to stay at an inn for a week."
Kyojuro: "Alright, perfect. Well then."
I looked at Akaza, then remembered something.
Kyojuro: "Oh! Do you like the box?"
I turned around and showed him the birch colored box.
Akaza: "I love it!"
Kyojuro: "Yeah, I had to make it from scratch. Anyways, let's go get you some new clothes."
Akaza beamed at me.
Kyojuro: "Although, we're going into the crowd so put your hat on, Akaza."
Mitsuri gave him his hat and he put it back on. Then, he grabbed my arm and hugged it. Mitsuri squealed with delight.
Akaza: "Wait."
Kyojuro: "What?"
Akaza: "Well, I couldn't help but notice, why does it smell like you have a corpse in that bag?"
He pointed at the bag Mitsuri was holding.
Mitsuri: "Oh! Well, we actually brought you a little something!"
Akaza: "Huh?"
Mitsuri pulled out one of the pouches of blood. She handed it to Akaza.
Mitsuri: "Here you go, a pouch of male human blood. I have 2 more in the bag."
Akaza went wide eyed. He smelled the cap of the pouch. He gasped.
Akaza: "HOLY SHIT MARECHI."
He took the cap off and took a few gulps of blood. He wiped some of the blood that had dripped out of his mouth.
Kyojuro: "Marechi? What's that?"
Mitsuri: "I've heard of that term before, but forgot what it meant."
Akaza: "Oh! Well, you know how humans all have a type of blood?"
Kyojuro: "Yeah?"
Akaza: "Well, the rarest type of blood is called Marechi. Eating 1 person with Marechi gives a demon as many nutrients as eating 50 normal people. Sorry if it seems like I have bad manners, I just haven't had Marechi in a long time."
Kyojuro: "That's it! We'll just get you Marechi blood to quench your hunger."
Akaza: "Are you sure? Marechi blood is really hard to come by which is why I haven't had any in a long time."
Mitsuri: "AH! I knew I'd heard that term before! Sanemi is a Marechi."
Akaza: "Wait, you guys know someone who's a Marechi?"
Mitsuri: "Yeah, one of our fellow Hashira."
Kyojuro: "Sanemi Shinazugawa, the Wind Hashira. He also really hated the idea of me meeting you here."
Akaza: "Oh. Well he sounds like an Asshole."
Kyojuro: "He kinda is."
Mitsuri: "I'm sure we'll find you Marechi, Akaza. Until then, you can quench your thirst with these pouches. The woman who gave me them told me the blood all came from one person."
Akaza: "Huh. Well, thank you for the blood donation."
Kyojuro: "Anyways, we should get you some clothes now."
Akaza: "Alright."
