That vixen! Anna fucking Giovanni!
She killed the man that owned me fucking millions.
God, I hate her.
Today is the day of the annual Mafia ball. I can't fucking wait.
Note the sarcasm.
This year the Japanese mafia is planning the ball. I never liked this ball. And I never liked the Japanese mafia. There's just something sneaky about them I don't like.
Because for the last 4 months, goods from my warehouses have been stolen. Goods that I needed to trade with my clients.
You might think, maybe it was Anna.
No.
I know her. She doesn't act this way. Anna doesn't care about my goods. She is more into ruining my reputation, slowly making my strongest allies for an alliance with her.
That's how she advances.
I fear that this ball might as well just be a trap.
Another reason though is because I hate seeing Anna there. Ever since we started sharing the first place, things have become tense between us. I watched Anna rise to the top all by herself. To be honest, I'm impressed, if only she would've stopped at second best.
First time I heard of her was when she managed to pirate one of my, at the time, most important shipments. From that moment on my attention was on her. I always tried to hold out an eye for her.
And now here we are... sharing a place together at the top of the world.
We are in my limo right now, on our way to the ball.
"Ace, you good?", my best friend Lorenzo asks.
Lorenzo is my best friend since we were little. I am almost two months older. Lorenzo is the son of my father's best friend who also was the underboss of our mafia. Now Lorenzo is my underboss.
I look at Enzo, annoyed by his question.
"No, I am not." I answer in an just as annoyed tone.
He sighs but takes the sign and shuts up. Only for him to start talking again after a few minutes.
"Ace. Please don't try to kill Anna again. It might make you look a bit bad because, you know, it's supposed to be a friendly event?"
I scoff. "She looked at me. That was enough reason." I say through gritted teeth, trying to stay calm.
He rolls his eyes and looks out the window.
We arrive at the ball five minutes later. There are already many cars.
We walk up the stairs to the castle house you could say. As we walk in our Mafia name was announced, that's why everyone looked up the stairs. I look around the room, seeing no Anna and none of her little pathetic friends.
I walk down the stairs greeting the people in the room.
Ten minutes went by and I conversed with many people already. It is really annoying.
A few new people came here but none of them really interested me.
Until the one person I despise the most was announced.
She walks in with her two best friends on either side of here. They are all wearing black.
Not going to lie, Anna is a beautiful woman. That's why she succeeds on so many seducing missions, where she lures her enemies and targets in with her beauty. She is very confident, sometimes even too much might I add but at the same time she seems so innocent from the outside, something many men like in women.
She has a black dress on with long sleeves. Her blonde hair is straight and styled back, no hair out of place.
She walked down the stairs like she's fucking better then everyone.
She made eye contact with me and smirked.
What the fuck is she smirking at?
I scowled and walked away to talk to other people.
Well, this night is going to be long.
