Asta never thought she would be nervous for her Name day, but she was. She sat at her vanity looking at her finished appearance, and all she felt was nerves. She had been to Thor and Loki's and they never seemed nervous, not even after getting their titles; God of Thunder and God of Mischief. What could she possibly be the goddess of? She never truly thought of what her Father or Thor would of picked for her, but now with Loki being the deciding factor, she was nervous. He knew her the best of all her family, he was probably the best person for this job, but the anxiety in her stomach did not settle.

A knock on her door gained her attention. She stood to answer, being greeted with her Mother. "Are you ready dear?" she asks her daughter.

She nods, pushing her nerves aside and exits her room. The two of them slowly make their way down the hall. "Mother, do you have any more books on magic I haven't already read? I want to be sure I know all I possibly can?" Asta attempted to make conversation to ignore her nerves.

Frigga looks to her daughter curiously, "No, I don't believe so. You've learned all that Loki knows, from here it's for you to discover anything new on your own. Whatever you discover may be similar or different to what Loki has found, either way you must trust the Magic." she tells Asta wisely.

Arriving to Throne Room's door, Asta's nerves rise again, "I'm nervous." She admits, her steps faltering.

"And that's natural. But chin up dear, it's a memorable day for you." Frigga tells her before opening the door, walking ahead of Asta into the room.

She took a deep breath, before following her mother in. Her name day was far different then any other, no crowds cheering, no loud music, no Thor, no Odin. She shook those thoughts from her head as she looked to Sif, behind her were the Warriors 3. Across from them was Heimdall, sword at his hip. Her mother was already stood by Loki's side as he sits atop the throne with Gungnir in hand.

As Asta stops, standing before Loki and her mother the others near her kneel in respect. Loki stands, "Asta Odindottir, we are here for your ceremonious Name Day. A day for you to be granted the title of Goddess for all of the Nine Realms. Being granted this title may come with repercussions, rewards, or nothing. Do you still wish to have this title?" Loki begins the traditional speech.

"Yes, I do." she agrees with a slight nod.

"Then with Friends, and Witnesses alike, I give you Princess Asta Odindottir of Asgard, the title;" he pauses, his eyes meeting her,  "Goddess of Protection and Growth." Loki decrees, hitting the ground with Gungnir, making his words truth.

Asta smiles at her new title. Goddess of Protection and Growth. Those around thought it fitting for the Princess. "Thank you." she replies, kneeling before Loki.

He walks up to her standing a few feet from her, "With this title, I bestow upon you access to protect those you believe need protecting, trust the magic and you will know how to do it." he pauses to hit the ground with the staff again, " The same with Growth, your magic will lead you to the knowledge." he finishes, hitting the ground again before turning to go back to where we was previously stood.

Lady Sif stood and made her way to stand before the kneeling Princess. " Asta, Goddess of Protection and Growth, a bestow to thee the Sword of the Dragonfang. Pass down from a wielder of Magic to Asgardian warriors, I see it only fit to be back in the hands of a magic wielder. Use it to Grow in combat and to Protect those who can not protect themselves." Sif says as she hands the princess a sheathed sword.

"Thank you." Asta tells her friend, as she sets the sword down in front of her. Lady Sif returns back to her spot returning to kneeling.

Heimdall stands, making his way to Asta, standing before her like the others. "Princess, to protect those who need it, you must be able to reach them. I give to you," he pauses lifting his sword before her, having it right in front of her collarbone, "The power of the Bifrost." he says rather ominously. A light, similar to when the Bifrost activates, circles the sword before touching the Princess causing her to gasp at the sudden magic entering her. "With this new power you will be able to go anywhere you have gone to before. You will be able to gift to those you see fit the ability to call for you, if they ever need your help. And as you grow, this ability will adapt with you." Heimdall gifts to her, lowering his sword.

"Thank you." she tells him, with a grateful nod, one he returns.

Heimdall returns to where he stood, causing the others to stand as well. "Princess Asta Odindottir of Asgard, Goddess of Protection and Growth. May you use these gifts well." Loki states, hitting the floor once again. Asta grabs her new sword and stands. "Now that you have been given your title, I'm proud to announce that Asta shall be my Royal Counsel for as long as I stay on the throne." he announces to the others.

Asta's smile grows, "I will make you proud." she tells him happily.

"Wait, Asta's your Royal Counsel?" Fandral questions, confused over why Loki would be thinking so far ahead to need a Counsel now.

"I will have no argument. It has been decided. I am King, and Asta shall be my counsel. The ceremony is now over, you are all dismissed." Loki tells them before going back to the throne.

The others exit the room, leaving Asta and Loki alone. She makes her way over to him, taking a seat on the arm next to him, looking to him amused. "So, what is the first thing I should advise you on?" Asta says to her brother jokingly.

Loki lets out a chuckle, looking over to her "Are you happy?" he asks her. She gives him a questioning look. "Are you happy with your title?" he elaborates.

"Yes. I trust you. I was nervous but you know me best. Thank you again." she tells him sincerely.

"I am glad. Now, do you have any ideas?" he asks her.

Asta bits the inside of her cheek as she thinks for a moment, "Well, with father being in Odinsleep, I think it best to inform Thor. He is on Midgard, he has a right to know." she informs him seriously.

Loki nods, considering her words, "I'll think it over and have a talk with Heimdall. Anything else?" he says, before looking back over at her.

"We should be ready incase the Frost Giants want a war. As much as I hate the thought of it, Thor did antagonize them, and we still don't know how they entered Asgard before. We must be prepared." she explains to him, having him nod in agreement.

"Quite right. I'll talk with the guards. I think we're fine for now. Now we have a lunch party to get to. Shall we sister?" he says, standing and holding out his arm for her.

She gives him a smile, "We shall brother." taking his arm and exiting the throne room together.

----------

That night, Loki listen to his sister, and went to Midgard to inform Thor. Thor sat on a chair, in a white holding room covered in dried mud. Agent Phil Coulson leaves the room, allowing Loki to appear before his brother, in Midgardian clothing as the door closes. "Loki? What are you doing here?" Thor questions once he see's his brother in shock.

"I had to see you." Loki tells him rather serious.

"What's happened? Tell me! Is it Jotunheim?  Is Asta safe? Let me explain to father-" Thor begins to riddle out concerning questions before he is cut off.

"Father is Dead." Loki says, stunning his brother.

For a moment Thor sat in silence, searching his brother's face for any indication of a lie or jest but found none, "What?" he finally questions in disbelief.

"Your banishment, the threat of anew war, it was too much for him to bear." Loki starts, causing a tear to fall from Thor's eye at the news. "You mustn't blame yourself. I know that you loved him. I tried to tell him so, but he wouldn't listen." he continues as his brother looks away more tears gathering in his eyes. "It was cruel to put the hammer within your reach, knowing you could never lift it." Loki finishes, allowing Thor a moment to take it in.

"The burden of the throne has fallen to me now." Loki breaks the silence, causing Thor to look back up at him.

Thor takes in a shaky breath to calm himself a tad, "What of Asta? Is she alright?" he asks, concern for her wellbeing.

"She is fine. I made her my Counsel. It was her who informed me to come and tell you what had happened." Loki pauses, hesitating to tell him what he had missed. "She had her Name Day." he says, causing Thor's eyes to widen.

"I missed her Name Day?" he questions in a whisper, shocked he missed such an important event.

Loki nods solemnly, "I gave her the Title of Goddess of Protection and Growth. With her gifts she will do us all proud." Loki says sincerely.

Another tear falls down Thor's face, "Can I come home?" he asks hesitantly.

"The truce with Jotunheim is conditional upon your exile." Loki tells him.

"But couldn't we find a way to-" Thor tried to debate but is stopped.

"And Mother has forbidden your return." Loki finishes, causing tears to build up in Thor's eyes again. "This is goodbye, brother. I'm so sorry." He tells him sincerely.

"No, I'm sorry. Loki... thank you for coming here. And can you tell Asta that I miss her, and that I'm proud of her." Thor says, looking down, accepting his fate, stuck on Midgard to never return to his home.

"Fare well, brother." Loki tells him, turning and taking his leave.
