The repentance accepted by Allah is only for those who do wrong in ignorance [or carelessness] and then repent soon after. It is those to whom Allah will turn in forgiveness, and Allah is ever Knowing and Wise.

"Maybe you are punishing me for what I did.Lately I stopped on praying on time,I was consumed with glitters of this world,I was mesmerized with her beauty,Ya Rabb it was happening to me now;my faith is breaking because I fall in love in a wrong way. I ignored my infatuation and pretended I was not attracted but you know best,you know my intention"
Today Kamzan realized how powerless he was without his creator.He realized he neglected his Lord ,he depended on his capability instead of depending on Allah.When he realized it , after he performed the fardh(obligatory prayer) he woke up again for tahajjud(sunnah prayer during 1/3 of the night)
"I know what I felt is wrong because,I acted like a non-muslim in dealing with her" he realized if he just confirmed his feelings he could make their interrogation halal,they could ask Nico to be there so that they would not be left alone together, on that way if Nico or Max was there it could prevent him to form a malicious thoughts or if he just decided that he was sure with his feelings they could perform the union of the hearts.
There were many solutions that could be applied to purify his forbidden desire but he didn't try to correct it. That's why he was here performing the act of worship,asking for forgiveness.
After he prayed he became calm and silent.He handed his worries to his creator.He would leave it to Allah.He would leave the future to the King of the world.

"Ya Allah I know I am a sinner ,I thought I am pious.But after I was thrown here I was exposed to the opposite gender and before I knew it,I normalized my interaction with them" Just like Kamzan Yerein performed the tahajjud too.
If this dark moment didn't come they would not realize their fault.They would not realize who they were before they met each other.
They were both pious but because they were blinded by their feelings they slowly forgot their firm beliefs.
"Forgive me Ya Allah,forgive me if I became a slave of my feelings,and if I die tomorrow let me die under your mercy"
They repented to the merciful one.At the end of their fight for justice they realized that their faith was not solid yet, they thought it couldn't be untamed but they were wrong because it crumbled, it was not strong enough.
But what was most important here was that they accepted their mistakes and they knew they were wrong.
They performed a sincere repentance.They had nothing except trust to their creator
Tomorrow was the judgement day it was either Yerein would die or would be saved
Tomorrow she would be hanged when she was asked a while ago if what was her last request she said that she would wear her hijab
Her clothes tomorrow was supposed to be white and her hair was supposed to be braided and exposed
But she was bold to demand and changed the rules, in consideration of her captain, her last request was being granted
Tomorrow she would die together with her hijab
For her she was contented to die while wearing her faith
And no one knew what would happen tomorrow except the King above
