Kamzan was about to unlocked his door when a woman suddenly appeared and opened it from the inside."Maycs?"Kamzan was flabbergasted to see a woman in his house
"you seem not happy to see me" Mayca said while pouting.She wore a pajama matching it with her small shirt.
Yerein was still standing neared to the gate.She had no idea about the reunion of the two hearts around her.Kamzan walked to her and got her bag,that was for the first time Yerein noticed a girl waiting on the front door house.
Yerein studied the female species,she could see that she was not a sibling of Kamzan,she couldn't connect any resemblance between the two.
"let's get inside"Kamzan invited her because she seemed planted on the place where she stood right now
Yerein wanted to ask who the woman was but she knew she had no right to do that.Although she felt safe beside him and felt brave when she's with him,she knew that she was just a client that he wanted to help to attain justice
Yerein didn't ask but when they reached the front door the woman all of a sudden spoke"welcome to our house;let me handle it my Kamzan"
the woman assisted here to the guest room.Although they already reached the guest room her thoughts was stuck on the front door.It kept echoing to her what she heard"my Kamzan,my Kamzan"she didn't understand, she was immune to all the kind of pain,but there were multiple needles she felt when she heard the endearment or whatever they called it,it was a new sensation to her and she admitted that she didn't understand what it meant
"feel at home,oh I am sorry I didn't introduce myself,I am Mayca,Kamzan's fiancé"She felt it again the unfamiliar sensation.These were just words but why it felt like a sharp edge of knife that peel the flesh of her heart?
Though from the outside she looked calm and emotionless her insides were already in chaos"I am Yerein,Kamzan's clie---" before she could finish the word Kamzan knocked on the opened door
"Maycs can you let our guest rest for a while?"
The captain interrupted the two women because he knew that his prisoner was already tired from travel,and listening to Mayca made her even more exhausted.
"yes,yeah of course" Mayca left Yerein in the guest room while following Kamzan to the balcony.
"who is she?"Mayca asked abruptly, she was interested to know.
"she is my girlfriend"this answer had been floating in his mind since he saw Mayca inside his house. He was fully aware that this was the most dead alibi he could produce ,but it was better to have one than nothing.
"girlfriend? I thought you believe that dating is haram in Islam"Kamzan was thrown off guarded.Of course he still believed on that,he just needed to lie to protect Yerein.No one should know that he brought her to his vacation house to delay her punishment. Even the rugged doll had no knowledge about the real reason on why she was being brought to the captain's vacation house.
"she isn't ready for marriage yet,but we are already planning for that,I am just waiting for her"lie after a lie escaped from Kamzan's mouth, in every lie he threw he muttered "astagfirullah"inside his brain but he was also wondering if this word of repentance he muttered would be sufficed to cover his growing pile of lies
"is that so?"Mayca half convinced to his explanation but didn't ask further about the issue.
"why are you here?"Kamzan tone signified that he didn't want anyone to live in his vacation house
"well I know I invaded your privacy,but my favorite hotel was fully booked,Mom told me to stay here for a while"
"when are you leaving?"Kamzan hair was thrown slightly by the wind coming from the balcony.Mayca always admired the being standing few distanced away from her.He had everything a woman could ask for and she could openly admit that she was one of those women.He was her ideal man.He was her knight and shining armour but she was not sure if their desires are mutual.
"don't worry,I will be leaving tomorrow"
"There are many beautiful hotels here,your favorite hotel is not your boyfriend that you need to invest your loyalty"Kamzan laid out his philosophical side.While to Mayca his explanation was the most hurtful words she ever heard.
He always said the right words,and though it was sugarcoated it were just only meant I am not happy to see you.
Her response was a painful laugh."yeah you are right,but that hotel gives me the vibe of home"(unlike this house where I can feel that someone was suffocated to be with me),she wanted to include that lines but the fear got her first before she could let it out those words
"I need to rest maycs" that's all his answer to her. He was a heartless captain and for Mayca there was no need to question that. But she couldn't understand why people always chose the wrong one. Why not the right one so that there was no chasing.

Kamzan proceeded to the guestroom to check on Yerein.He knocked on the door first and waited for Yerein to open it.Yerein ran and opened the door.Kamzan could see that her things were never touched and her attire was still intact."are you planning to go somewhere?I thought you already unpacked your bag" Kamzan inquired in a sarcastic way.
Yerein lowered her gaze,she wanted to say something but it was even hard for her to form the right words"Yerein?" Kamzan asked again
Yerein, in her mind she asked why not Yers like Maycs? this was just a moment of hallucination to her.The handsome man was still waiting for her answer."Captain,this is not the safe house,this is your home"
Yerein stated after a moment.He told her that they would go to the safe house but he brought her to his vacation house instead.
"the thing is,the safe house is not safe anymore,it was being monitored by the enemy since we came there last time"Kamzan first line was a blast.He already imagined Max shaking in laughter because of his useless alibi.
"then why not bring me back to the camp?"Yerein inquired again,Kamzan closed the door this time making sure to keep their conversation private.They were both standing while maintaining a safe distance
"we can't do that,your case is in full heat at the moment,why? are you uncomfortable here?if you want we can look for another house"Kamzan was desperate to know the source of her uncomfortability.Her eyes gave it all,confusion,unsettlement and sadness.
"it's not that"Yerein holding back to say something,she was searching for the right words,she didn't want to be misunderstood
"then what's bothering you?"
"don't you think it's inappropriate to bring me here to your home?"
Kamzan mind hung for a moment."what do you mean?"
"I mean this is not right,why not just bring me somewhere and let Officer Max or Officer Nico to guard me?"Kamzan was really confused on why she was talking about the other men,when he was already in front of her.
"what made you so anxious? Am I making you uncomfortable?"
Yes,Yerein wanted to answer him in affirmative response."Yerein?"he asked again, he was impatient to wait for her answer.
"it's our situation that makes me uncomfortable,your fiancé, I felt like I disrespected her by coming her with you"she finally found the right explanation and Kamzan was amazed by her statement.Another kindness of her that he spotted.She always thought of other's feelings.
"Don't worry about her"his simple reply
"but captain?"what kind of response was that? She didn't know if the woman understood that his fiancé was just performing his duty or he was just didn't care about his fiancé's feeling.
"she will be leaving tomorrow,get some rest and by the way she is my cousin from maternal side not my fiancé"
after he said that he locked the door but not only Yerein's door but also Yerein's doubt.He put the most vital words on the last lines of his answer when Yerein hidden side was waiting for that answer from the moment she saw Mayca.He delayed the most awaited answer.
It was like Kamzan put a period to her written agony,the unfamiliar heavy chain that brought heaviness in her heart was slowly removed by her captain's last words.
