“Nice block, kawanishi.” Y/n said tapping the middle blocker on his back who smirked in return
“Save the compliments for later, we still got a long way ahead of us.” Shirabu said hitting Y/n on his arm which he returned with a glare
“How dare you lay your filthy hands on me, peasant?” Y/n asked wiping the area where Shirabu smacks him
This action irked the copper head male and flips him off since he couldn't do anything else during the match
“I'll deal with you later.” Shirabu said
“Oya? Take me out on a date first, Kenjiro.” Y/n teased before standing on his spot unaware of Shirabu's reddened face
Y/n pulled up his sleeves and fixed his hair making sure it won't go to his face during the match
His eyes were fixated on a particular male who's also staring back at him with a familiar glint on his eyes.
“He normally uses read blocking, but on certain occasions he uses guess blocking. He uses reading blocking against that number 10 shortie..” Tendo said while standing beside semi on the side
“It's annoying! The coolest thing about blocking its to just knock the ball down!” He added
“Isn't that a very smart thing to do?” Semi deadpanned
“Also, what happened to Y/n-kun? His face has some bruises on them..” Tendo asked eyeing the [H/C] haired male
“Don't know, coach said he fell off the stairs and needed to stay in the clinic to recover.” Semi said crossing his arms
“You know sometimes I wondered that Y/n is hiding something from us, I mean he just randomly appeared one day with a bandage on his cheek.” Semi said letting out a sigh
“Not to mention his dark humour is quite alarming..” Tendo said rememberthe time where Y/n joked about smashing someone's head into a wall, he shivered at the memory
“Also that karasuno guy with grey hair seemed to be close to him, I don't think that they're just 'Friends' you know..” Semi said moving his attention from Y/n towards Sugawara who's cheering for karasuno
“Hm, but Nekoma's captain too seemed a bit close to him” Tendo said remembering the time he saw Y/n and Kuroo talking
“And not but the least, Shirabu.” Semi said pointing at the copperhead male who's arguing at Y/n about something
“What about him?” Tendo asked tilting his head to the side
“Can't you see how he looks at Y/n? I would sometimes catch him watching Y/n during practice.” Semi said scoffing
“Everyone watch Y/n-kun play, he's just as awesome as Wakatoshi but lacks a bit in experience.” Tendo said in a matter of fact tone
“Oh come one, he clearly likes Y/n!” Semi sighed exasperatedly
Tendo chuckled at him and went back to watching the match, his eyes fixated at the [H/c] haired male who's arguing at Shirabu about something and then saying something that made Shirabu blush
Back at the court Y/n finished arguing at Shirabu about how sweaty his palms where and how painful it was to get smacked, especially by their best friend.
“Just focus on the game, damn it!” Shirabu said
“Can't I focus on your instead?” Y/n teased unaware of Tsukishima's attack which went in
“Damn it, Y/n focus!” Shirabu yelled
“Sorry! Geez, calm down its only a point its not like Ushijima won't score a ton later.” Y/n said holding both his hands up in a surrendering motion
“Please take this seriously, Y/n.” Ushijima said beside him
“Fine fine, whatever.” Y/n said rolling his eyes as he gets serious
The ball was now up in the air heading their way, Ushijima who was in the perfect spot to receive the ball received it perfectly and sent it towards Shirabu who's getting ready to toss
“Oi, it's Y/n-senpai this time..” Kageyama said to Tsukishima who just clicked his tongue and stood beside asahi preparing to block his attacks
Sugawara stood beside hinata on the side watching the game intensely, his face paled when he saw Y/n covered in bandages and a few bruises on his face and arms
'What happened..'
He felt his heart drops when suddenly he remembered that night when he found Y/n with his mother.
'No, she's already in jail.. Who could do this?'
Just as he was too deep in his thoughts he was suddenly snapped out when suddenly Hinata screamed beside him
“What- what happened?” Suga asked the first year
“Y/n-senpai scored using his left hand.”
