"Will you marry me?" He asked.
She was shocked by the question. She never thought he will ever ask her to marry him. A lone tear escaped her eyes.
"Are you sure?" She asked to confirm if he is telling the truth.
"Yes! I am 200% sure...." He said with a smile.
She was overwhelmed by the situation. She made him stood up and said with moist eyes," Yes! I will marry you... I love you..." She completed her sentence and hugged him tight.
"I love you too....." He said hugging her back.
"Bondita!" Riya screamed her name.
Bondita's dream broke. Anirudh didn't propose her. She was just hallucinating him.
"Kaha khoyi hae tu... Kabse pukar rehi hu tuje..." Riya said.
"Oh kahi nehi......" Bondita said nervously.
"Achcha tu chal... Muje kuch kam hae... Me bad me ati hu...." Riya said and went to other direction.
"Kya sakha babu.... Ab vhi nah... Jab apne pyaar ka itna saboot dehi di hae.. Ab propose vhi kar dijiya..." Bondita said to herself blushing.
She was returning back when she was stopped by someone's conversation. She was again deceived by fate. She rushed haveli with moist eyes.
"Are babu... Tum kaha thi itni der... Som ko bej na para tum dono lane k lia... Or ye Anirudh kaha hae?" Kaka asked Bondita.
"Oh kaka sa.. Kaka sak... barrister babu Som dada k sath hae... Me chalti hu... Khapre badalne honge..." Bondita said and immediately left the place. Kaka was in dilemma. Until now everything was fine between the duo then what happened all of a sudden. He just nodded his head in disbelief and left for his room.
Bondita was passing by Anujits room when she was stopped by a argument going inside the room. It was Riya and Anujit. She stood near the room to find out the real cause.
"Anujit.... Dekh tere parents to sahi keh rehe hae... Akhir tu unka bara beta hae... Unke vhi kuch khayesh honge na tujse..... Please manja... Kaka kaki bohot disturbed the... Unki awaz sehi pechan sakti hu mai...." Riya tried to explain Anujit.
"Nehi Riya.... Mere parents jo chahte hae bo nehi ho sakta.... Me mar jaunga lekin unki ye bath nhi man paunga..." Anujit said.
"Asa kya hae ki Anujit apne parents bath nehi manna chahta..." Bondita said to herself.
"Sun Anujit practical ho... Bondita tujse pyar nehi karti..." Riya said.
"Me janta hu Riya lekin me to karta huna ? Or hamesha karunga vhi...! " Anujit said.
"Pyar! Me! Kya chal kya raha hae..." Bondita thought.
"Pagalo ki tarah bat mat kar! Ek tarfa pyar sirf dukh deta hai jiban vhar.... Or jab Bondita ki saadi ho jayegi kisise pher tu kya karega? Tab uske bina.. Usse dur.. Kese reh payega? Usse kisi or k saath dekh payega? Uski yado me hamesha esehi akela rehega tu?" Riya said.
"Hae reh lunga..... Kiu ki uski khushi me hi meri khushi hae..." Anujit said with a subtle smile.
"Bakbas! Ye sab filmy dialogue marna band kar.... Akele rehna sara jiban is not easy dude... Please tu apne parents k bat manle..." Riya said.
"Katai nehi..." Anujit argued.
"Kya karu me is ladke ka... Achcha tu bata tu jiske intezar me hai.. Kya tuje ye pata hae ki bo kesa jiban sathi chahti hae?" Riya said.
"Sayad hae.... Sayad na..." Anujit said.
"Matlab?" Riya said.
"Dekh jitna me Bondita ko samajta hu usse to ehi keh saktu hu ki ussse koi asa jiban sathi chahiya jo har khusi or dhuk k pal me uska hat thame.. Uske lia sari dunia se lar jaye... Usko samman kare....Pyar kare.... Uski sapnome uski madat kare...Ek asa insan jisme is desh ko badal neka fitoor ho... Authroko samman kare or unke haq k lare..." Anujit said.
"Achcha! To tu bata tujme inmese konsi chiz ki kami hae jo o tuje nehi chunti...." Riya said raising her eyebrows. Anujit laughed at her statement.
"Ye hi me nehi janta.... Khash me jan pata... Sayad me uske layak ban pata... Kash mera pyar uski manjil ki or poch pata..." Anujit complete his sentenced as tears escaped his eyes.
"Anu... Please yar.... Itna senti mat ho... Achcha tune khabi Bondita se samna samni bola ki tu usse kitna pyaar karta hae ?" Riya said.
"Mene khabi use thik se propose nehi kiya but hae itna jarur bataya ki me usse pyar karta hu.. Or isiliya usse dur chala gaya tha..." Anujit said.
"Lo karlo bat... Thik hae to tera antim fesla ye hae ki tu saadi nehi karne vala hae... Right?" Riya said.
"Nehi.. Me koi saadi vaadi nehi karne vala hu.... Kiu ki mere dilme uske ilava or kisi k lia jaga nehi hogi... Na aj na kal.. Khabi nhi...." Anujit said while Riya sighed being tired of explaining her friend.
Bondita was listening to all their conversation. She was numb and unable to find any conclusion, ran to her room. Closing the door she sat on the bed.
Bondita's P.O.V
Itna nishthur (cold-hearted) kiu hae jiban? Kisiko vhi apna pyar kiu nehi milta?... Nahi Sakha babu ko Saudamini didi mili... Na muje Sakha babu... Or nahi Anujit ko me...
Sakha babu ka to me kuch bhi nehi samajti... Jab o mere pas hote hae to anjane mehi hum karib a jate hae... Aj vhi barish me humne kitna samai sath gujara... Muje to laga sayad unko mujse pyaar hae... Lekin jo unhone Som dada se kaha uske bad to nehi lagta ki asa kuch vhi hae...
Ab muje lagta hae samai achuka hae ki me sahi fesla lu... Apne dilko or thes nehi pocha sakti me. Agar apko sach me mujse pyar nehi to dekhiya ab me kese ki or ki hone ja rehi hu...
Anujit karta hae mujse pyar to thik hae... Usko uski pyar ki manjil milegi... Kiu ki me janti hu ek tarfa pyar kitna dukh deta hai.. Me nehi chahti koi or isse sahe jese me seh rehi hu... Me karungi Anujit se saadi vo vhi apke samne!
Bondita changed her clothes and sat infront of the mirror to get ready. A sudden idea crept on her mind. She wanted to look the best today. She weared a blue colour banarasee with golden embroidered. A small blue bindi with minimal jewelleries. She used her best lavender perfume. After she got ready she heard a knock on the door. She opened the door.
"Koyeli didi ap? Kuch kam tha kya?" Bondita asked koyeli.
"Hae choti malkin... Vo ap k lia chitti ayi hae.." Koyeli said and forwarded her the letter.
"Ji dekhayi.." Bondita said and took the letter to see it. A small smile crept on her lips seeing the letter.
"Bahu raniji... Ap to bohot sundar lag rahi hae..Ap kahi ja rehi hae kya?" Koyeli asked her seeing her deck up.
"Nehi.. Bo aj kuch khas hae... Islia.." Bondita said.
"Achcha thik hae.. Ap niche jaldi a jayega.. Sab apka table par intezar kar rehe hae..." Koyeli said.
"Ji... Vese Sakha babu kaha hai?" Bondita said.
"Vo apne adhayan kaksh me hae..." Koyeli said and left.
Bondita too soon reach the study to talk o Anirudh. She knocked the door and went inside the study. She saw Anirudh was smiling seeing a book. May be an album or a diary. Seeing Bondita he immediately stood up and hiding the book behind him passed her a nervous smile.
"Vo sakha babu muje apse kuch kehna hai..." Bondita said.
