Lizzie immediately wipes the tears from y/n checks. "Hey it's okay, you can drop around me." Lizzie says, rubbing her cheeks.
"No I can't" Y/n says getting a bit worked up. "I scared away my last caregiver, I don't want to scare you away. You're not even my caregiver, god what am I saying." Y/n says rambling, starting to cry more. "Too little, too little." Y/n repeats starting to fall to her knees.
Lizzie immediately scoops y/n up, carrying her over to the couch. "It's okay, I've got you." Lizzie whispers to her, rubbing y/n's back.
Once y/n breathing calms down she untucks her head from Lizzies neck. "I'm sorry." Y/n whispers out.
"Ah none of that." Lizzie says. Y/n tries to apologize again but Lizzie doesn't allow it. Lizzie continues to hold y/n close, rocking her a bit to help her calm down.
"Did you really mean it?" Y/n says, tucking her head back in lizzies neck.
"Mean what?" Lizzie says, starting to rub y/n back again.
"I can drop around you." Y/n barely gets out.
Lizzie pauses, "Babygirl can you look at me?"
Y/n looks up at Lizzie, slowly meeting her gaze.
"You can be in whatever headspace you like when you are around me." Lizzie says nodding at y/n before continuing. "I actually was going to ask you last night but then I wasn't sure if it would cross some sort of line. So then I stopped myself but now I think I can ask it.." Lizzie gets out quickly, starting to ramble.
Y/n notices the slight panic and places a hand on lizzies cheek, helping her calm back down. Lizzie smiles and takes a deep breath.
"If you are okay with it and want, I..I could be your caregiver." Lizzie gets out looking at y/n.
Y/n immediately tears up, starting to cry a bit. Lizzie hugs her trying to backtrack.
"Sorry, I don't have to be. I don't want to make you uncomfortable." Lizzie says, holding y/n close.
"No" y/n whispers out.
"I understand, don't worry about it." Lizzie says rocking y/n back and forth a bit. Trying not to let disappointment deep through her voice.
"No... I want that." Y/n gets out in between breaths.
Lizzie breaks into a smile hearing y/n. "Really?" Lizzie asks, looking down at her.
Y/n just nods her head into lizzies neck. Lizzie can't help but to smile. She quickly kisses y/n on top of her head before wrapping her in her arms again.
Lizzie can tell y/n is right on the verge of dropping. She kept feeling y/n begin to suckle on her neck only to stop a few seconds later, trying to prevent herself from dropping.
"Babygirl, you can drop. I've got you. Mommy's got you." Lizzie says, rubbing y/n back a bit.
Y/n just whines in return. Still trying to fight the urge to drop. However once Lizzie stands and starts to sway a bit y/n can't help it anymore.
Lizzie feels y/n suckling start to slow until it stops completely. Lizzie looked down and saw y/n was sleeping soundly.
Lizzie put y/n down on the couch and started making dinner for the two of them. Once it was ready she slowly woke y/n up. Y/n wasn't too keen on waking up but once she smelled what Lizzie was cooking she quickly woke up.
Lizzie places y/n on her lap, helping feed her in between her own bites. Once finished she settled y/n down on the couch with some coloring books and a movie.
After cleaning up a bit Lizzie joined y/n on the couch to watch the rest of the movie. Most of the movie Lizzie would be admiring y/n in this headspace. In y/n normal headspace she tended to be more reserved and shy. But in her little headspace she was carefree and relaxed. Lizzie wants to allow y/n to drop more. So she can be this carefree more often. However, y/n seems to have caught her eyes.
"Mommy think?" Y/n asks, looking at her.
"Oh nothing, mommy is just very happy." Lizzie says smiling. Y/n seems to accept the answer and crawls on top of Lizzies lap, cuddling into her.
The rest of night went well, Lizzie and y/n cuddled on the couch until it was bedtime. Lizzie carries y/n to bed before laying down next to her. It only took a few seconds for y/n to cuddle into lizzies side, sighing contently before falling into a deeper sleep.
Y/n woke up to Lizzie gently caressing her cheek. "Good morning sweetheart." Lizzie gets out smiling.
"Morning." Y/n gets out stretching a bit.
"If you want to start getting ready for work I'll make us breakfast." Lizzie suggests kissing y/n on the forehead.
Y/n just cuddles into Lizzie more. "5 more minutes." She gets out sleepily.
Lizzie just smiles, "okay 5 more minutes." Before cuddling back into y/n.
After the 5 minutes which turned into 10 y/n reluctantly got up and ready for work. Lizzie made breakfast for them both before the pie made their way out the door. They each got into their respective cars driving to set. Once they arrived Lizzie parked next to y/n.
"You know it might make more sense for us to carpool." Lizzie offered.
"Oh does this mean you are staying over more often?" Y/n asks a bit hopeful.
"I mean, I just assumed I would." Lizzie says awkwardly.
"Good." Y/n says smiling. "Good." Lizzie says before each heading off in their own directions.
That day at work y/n and lizzies interactions were back to normal. Plus Lizzie couldn't help but be in a good mood after the events that had transpired the night before.
"Well someone is happy." Kathryn says, sitting next to Lizzie.
"Yes I am actually." Lizzie says smiling.
"I'm assuming the talk with y/n went well?" Kathryn ponders.
"It really did." Lizzie says, still smiling away.
"Are you ready to be a Mommy?" Paul says walking over to the two women.
"Excuse me?!" Lizzie says, choking on her water. Did Kathryn tell him about y/n being a little.
"You know, the twins." Paul adds pointing down to the newest script.
"Oh yeah, I am. I completely forgot about that." Lizzie admits, starting to think. Kathryn can tell what Lizzie is debating about, would it be weird for y/n on set.
"I'm sure it will be fine. Plus filming that stuff isn't until tomorrow. Don't worry about it." Kathryn says nudging Lizzie a bit.
Lizzie just nods. "Yeah you're right." She mumbles under her breath. "Okay let's finish up these scenes.
The rest of that day's filming went well. Y/n stayed in her normal headspace and Lizzie checked in on y/n many times throughout the day just to be safe.
After wrapping for the day Lizzie ordered some take out to the set, knowing y/n had to probably stay late to work. Lizzie went over to y/n office and knocked on the door. "Come in."
"Hey I brought you some dinner, I had a feeling you'd be working late." Lizzie says, popping her head through the door.
"You're a lifesaver. My granola bar was not filling at all." Y/n says throwing the wrapper away.
Lizzie came in and stayed across from y/n. "Hope you like Indian." Lizzie says pulling food out of the bag. "I guessed tikka masala."
"Good guess." Y/n says smiling, taking the food.
The pair eat in silence for a couple minutes seeing as they are both pretty hungry. "What are you working on?" Lizzie gets out with some food still in her mouth.
"You're wiggly woos" y/n gets out, turning the screen a bit so Lizzie can see.
"Whoa, with the CGI Wanda looks like a badass." Lizzie says admiring the work.
"Correction. You already are a badass." Y/n says smiling.
"Ahh your crush is showing." Lizzie teases.
Y/n just shrugs. "Says the person who stalked my art show."
"Fair enough." Lizzie says smirking.
They continue to eat and make small talk. Conversing about anything and everything. After about an hour y/n looks at the time.
"You can go home, I don't want to keep you waiting. I have a bit more to do. Plus I know you got a lot of lines to learn." Y/n says, looking back to the project she was trying to finish.
"Are you sure?" Lizzie asks cautiously.
"Positive. I don't want to keep you waiting on me." Y/n says.
"Okay." Lizzie says reluctantly, getting up. "But if you need anything you'll call me or text me. No matter the time. Got it?" Lizzie says, giving y/n a stern look.
"I promise. Now go, I'll be fine." Y/n says smiling.
Y/n was able to finish up work right before 9pm. She quickly packed up and headed home. The whole time secretly wishing Lizzie would be there waiting for her.
Meanwhile, Lizzie is at her house running through her lines for tomorrow. She knows y/n is fully capable of taking care of herself but she can't help but worry if y/n accidentally slips. Lizzie tries to push that thought to the back of her mind, focusing on her lines a bit more before bed.
That night both of them went to sleep missing each other. Around 1 AM y/n woke up from a nightmare, immediately looking for her mommy. It was the same nightmare almost everynight, her old caregiver abandoning her. She tried to fight the urge to call Lizzie knowing she was probably asleep. Y/n really didn't want to disturb her but she needed to hear Lizzies voice to help calm her down.
Y/n picked up her phone, hovering over Lizzies name for a second before tapping the screen. It rang a few times, y/n almost hung up realizing Lizzie must be asleep. But luckily she waited a second because then she heard her favorite voice. "Hello?" Lizzie gets out voice still full of sleep.
Just her voice alone calmed y/n down. She pauses a second, debating hanging up but Lizzie speaks again. "Y/n are you there?" Lizzie gets out, more awake now.
"Mommy?" Y/n gets out just above a whisper.
"Stay right there babygirl, mommy will be right over." Lizzie states now wide awake.
