It was at some point that I realized I could play my music on Youtube & express myself even more. I played whatever I wanted. Covers of songs on different instruments, sometimes singing, sometimes something new. I wasn't a real pro at it, so the audio could be real janky at times &... I never showed my face. Just had the microphone feature on. Didn't want people to know who I was or assume things by how I look just like everyone else.
& I did get a little bit of a following. Not anything super crazy. Not like, world famous. Maybe like, somewhat popular in specific circles, if that made sense? Definitely not enough to get paid, but enough to feel a little proud of myself.
I never said my name either. I didn't feel like being judged by kids at school. My anonymity was a blanket of safety for me. I just used the nickname my sister called me- Leo... It's what my friends would call me if I actually had any in real life... I did have some online, because of Youtube, from replying to comments, & it was great. But sometimes I just wished that... someone could just see me... The whole me. The tough part, the musical part, the soft part... know the whole me, ya know? Or maybe I was just lonely sometimes, I don't know...
