Prologue
I was never a romance kind of person. I didn't want to sit around and read a 300 to 400-page book about it. It didn't peak my interest to say the least... I mean, why on earth would I choose to read a story about two people falling in love? That's it. The whole plot. Love.
I didn't get lost in it. I didn't imagine it as if I were in the story. And I certainly didn't envy the relationship of two fictional characters written about on a few pieces of paper.
You don't have to have some epic tragedy, some spark you felt the first time you touched them, a love so strong that you mistook it for hatred. You don't need any of that to have a romance. An entertaining one? Sure. But the romance you read about in a book is not reality.
Or so I thought.
