Justine's P.O.V
We had set a date not too long ago, but now that it has arrived... I'm starting to feel butterflies in my stomach. Or maybe that is just the tiny pair of feet. But inside my heart, I know I want this. Why wouldn't I? As I sat in front of my mirror, I studied my brown eyes. Hell. I've walked through hell. And this man...he understands all of it. A small smile rose to my lips and I blushed at my thoughts. Wow...I'm sure lucky. I pondered for a moment, just thinking, until my eyes glanced at a piece of paper. Shit... I had never finished my vows. Baby brain is serious, and I have been awful with it. The pen I wrote with traced every letter as I wrote down from my heart. Today was the day I would marry the man I love.
Imperial patrols were ass and I was scared of them ruining our special day. It was going to be very small. I'm pretty sure only a few people? Din promised I wouldn't get overwhelmed with people and them trying to touch my bump. I had enough problems with that when I go to the market place to talk to the very people I know. Cara, Greff, Peli from Tatooine...Fett? "Shit...I'm losing it..." I say out loud.
"Yeah you are." I heard Din's deep voice and I jumped, stuffing the paper into my pocket. "I can tell."
"Damn you Din! You're not supposed to be in here!" I stand up, holding onto the vanity stand.
"Why not?" He walked over and placed his hands on my hips. "I missed you. Can I not see the woman I love with all my heart? My helmet is off...for you."
I chuckled, and the butterflies returned. And damn it- my cheeks were red. "Well, w-w-when you say it like t-t-t-that... you make me feel like the bad guy."
"You are the bad guy." He teased, "You are killing me wearing shorts like that. And hot damn, babe, you look amazing."
"Shut up...I'm in pajamas."
"Ah, still look sexy. Thank God you don't wear a helmet... I would have to kill myself if I didn't get to see your face."
"Now you know how I feel. Get out of here, you horny man! I'm getting ready!" I pull away from his grasp and push him out of the room.
He chuckled and shook his head, and I presumed he left. Which, he ended up doing after five minutes of telling me corny compliments. It was kind of cute.
The white dress I wore was only to my knees, and was loose. With fabric made of soft silks and laced accents, the dress was beautiful. It had a neckline that was low cut, 3/4 loose sleeves and an open back. I was very thankful to even have this type of clothing. Cara pulled a lot of strings to make this day as magical as it could be. I have so much to thank her for, and as I pulled my hair up into an elegant messy bun.
One day, it will be me, Din, and our baby living together, and not having to worry about anything at all...and maybe even Grogu would be there with us. That sounded amazing.
I finished getting ready and walked out of the room and headed to the hall. We were getting married somewhere small, and hopefully wouldn't attract a lot of attention. This was the day;
And I took the first steps down to my future husband. There he stood, dressed nicely and a warm smile on his face. This was gonna be it. The ties of forever. And that's what I want. I want to be with him for forever and a day. When I stood in front of the love of my life, I looked into his brown eyes and sighed, recalling every memory we had together...
"Do it" comes Mando's voice. The droid and I look at him.
"Do what?" The droid responds.
"Just get it over with. I'd rather you kill me then some Imp."
"Shut up, your not going to die." I say softly.
"I told you, I am no longer a hunter. I am a nurse droid." The droid says reassuringly.
"IG's are all hunters." Mando's voice becomes shaky.
"Not this one, I've been reprogrammed. I am going to need to remove your helmet if I am to heal you." The droid grabs the edge of the helmet, but before he can lift it, Mando points his blaster at him.
"It is forbidden. No living this has seen my face since I swore the Creed."
"I am not a living thing." With that, the droid lifts the helmet off. I see a wounded face, that seems uncomfortable. I shut my eyes.
"Want me to go?" I ask.
"Never." Mando says.
"This is a bactra spray, it will heal you in a matter of hours. You have suffered damage to your central processing unit." IG-11 says, while spraying his head.
"You mean my brain?" Mando asks worryingly.
"That was a joke. It is meant to put you at ease." The droid walks through the sewer first. I help Mando stand up.
"Call me Din." He says, grabbing his helmet.
"Alright, Din." I smirk. Before I walk away I feel his hand grab my bicep and pull me to him. His lips touch mine gently. Before he backs away, my hands pull him back to me. He deepens the kiss, and I smile. We part and hold hands, walking into the sewers. His helmet is back on.
The time I first learned his name buzzed through my mind and I sighed happily...pondering again.
Din and I sat silently in our room, and the vibe was uncomfortable. And then, we both looked at each other the same time, and our lips just connected. It took less than five minutes for us to even start making love, and things got heated way faster than we wanted. The way his stubble felt against my jaw, and his rough hands against my hips...our voices and breathes became one.
His hips against mine, and the way we moved in sync. It was loving, and sweet at first. Then heated and hot later. And that night was full of love. And the night we both lost our virginity. But, I felt okay with it because I knew that I loved him, and he loved me.
I felt my cheeks go red and warm at the night of us having sex...then my thoughts were snapped away as Greef started talking.
"We come here today to celebrate such a unique marriage between two lovers. And get this, they're also going to be parents soon." He chuckled, "Do either of you have your own vows before we go through the traditional ones?"
I cleared my throat and nodded; "I love your sense of adventure and the way you always brighten my day. I vow to join with you in this journey as your wife with an open heart and to make even the smallest of our accomplishments into an exciting part of our lives together. I believe you have been the best guide for me through this journey called life. You have shown me what it means to love. You have directed me down paths I did not know existed. Through our adventures, we have discovered beautiful waterfalls and fields of wildflowers. We have fought through battles and came out the other side victorious and stronger than before. I look forward to holding your hand through all the adventures to come. Din, you are my everything, and as we continue through life...I want you right by my side. No matter what."
Din had a few tears in his eyes, and if I am being honest, I was crying too. Hormones. Totally no other reason. But as he took a deep breath, he looked at me and gently grabbed one of my hands. "Justine, I believe in you, the person you will grow to be and the couple we will be together. With my whole heart, I take you as my wife, acknowledging and accepting your faults and strengths, as you do mine. I promise to be faithful and supportive and to always make our family's love and happiness my priority. I will be yours in plenty and in want, in sickness and in health, in failure and in triumph. I will dream with you, celebrate with you, and walk beside you through whatever our lives may bring. You are my person—my love and my life, today and always. I promise to be your lover, companion, and friend, Your partner in parenthood, Your ally in conflict, Your greatest fan and your toughest adversary, Your comrade in adventure, Your consolation in disappointment, Your accomplice in mischief. This is my sacred vow to you, my equal in all things. All things."
"By the power invested in me, which was granted here by this couple, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may exchange rings and then kiss the bride." Greef clapped his hands.
After Din slid the band onto my finger, and I slid one onto his, he kissed my lips gently, and the world was ours tonight. No one else's.
