Jasmine's POV
I woke up calm and content for school. I currently attend high school and I graduate in a few short weeks. I'm soon going to turn eighteen in July, which I am quite excited for.
I'm not the most social girl out there, but I can be pretty outgoing at times.
I have a best friend named Landon and another named Reese who are both I am very close to.
I'd say I'm a average looking girl. I am tall, lean with the basic brown hair and brown eyes look. Nothing too special about me to say the least.
Shaking my thoughts, I got dressed for school and made my way out the door for class.
When I arrived, I was greeted by Landon and Reese. Landon was tall, with ripped muscles that any girl would drool over. I can admit I had a crush on him and definitely would trust him with my life. He is a jokester and a hockey player for our school. Landon has dreamy hazel eyes and dark brown hair.
On the other hand, Reese is the complete opposite. They has a short brown hair with a stripe of green in the strand of their hair. Reese is non-binary and I'm proud to call my school a safe space for those who identify with who they really are. Inclusiveness is really important because no one should feel ashamed of who they are. It's all which makes us unique in our own way.
Anyways, Landon and Reese are great friends. "Hey Jasmine, is it cool if I take a moment to talk with you about something?" Landon immediately asks, he lowkey looked like a hot mess. I nodded a little confused.
"Sorry, Reese." Landon replied. Reese rolled their eyes, "It's fine. I'll catch ya later anyways." Reese waved toward and and winked at me as they left. I blushed furiously as if they knew what was about to go down.
Landon playfully grabbed my hand and dragged me into an empty classroom.
"So, whats up Landon?" I asked curiously. He looked a little nervous. "Is everything ok? Did something happen? Please tell me, you're scaring me." I pleaded.
He took a deep breath in, "So Jasmine, you have been my best friend for a long time. I love spending all of my time with you.." He began.
I didn't think that Landon be the one to have a sappy conversation with.
"If you say no, its fine but totally even forget I asked but-" He froze mid sentence. He took a pregnant pause,
"Will you go on a date with me? And not as friends?" I was taken aback. Super hot Landon wants me?
I smiled but a little hesitant for some odd reason. Shaking it off I responded with only thing I could think of: "Yes!" I said eagerly. He smiled, "I could just kiss you right now!" I blushed.
Landon and me dating? No way. I didn't ever picture Landon being so hot be with basic me.
Landon smiles from ear to ear, "Ok, cool. I'll text ya." I nod. "Sounds good."
As Landon walks away happily, all I can think is about how I'm blown away by the fact that Landon legit likes me? How wild is that?
Me- out of all people in this universe? There's no way. I admit, I am more on the average side and definitely not as gorgeous as some of the girls who I go to high school with but I can't seem to wrap my head around this.
It was time for class and I made my way to first period.

School was boring as ever but what made it interesting was Landon being on my mind. He finally did text me and told me that tonight he will pick me up around 5pm. The butterflies that erupted in my stomach caused me anxiety.
I was home now and getting ready to shower and pick out an outfit for my date with Landon. My parents were no where in sight-as it was way too early for them to get home. My house is in the woods and I always get worried of being judged by my friends as my house is the only one that has children- or in other words children who are students that are still enrolled in school. All of my neighbors are old and want to be as far away from civilization as possible. My parents have told me that when I was born, they were the first house to be built in the Revern Forest. Strange, but at least as I grew older, we had neighbors. It helped diminish the social isolation we had from the community.
Back to reality, I showered and dressed in a short lavender dress, curling my hair and applying minimum make up on my face.
*Ding* I check my phone.
I'm here :) -Landon
I smiled, I'll be out shortly. I responded.
I grabbed my purse and headed out. I also sent my mom a text that I'll be out with Landon for night, besides its not like she will think that I'm actually on a date with him.
I exited my house and locked the front door. My parents always tell me that there are creepy people wandering this forest. I smiled as I saw Landon get out of his car with a bouquet of purple beautiful flowers.
"Wow, Jasmine. You look amazing." He said completely breathless. I blushed, Landon looks so handsome. I eye him up and down, taking notice of his skin tight white dress shirt and light purple dress pants. He is really trying to impress me.
"Thank you, Landon. Where are you taking me?" I asked curiously. He helped me into the passenger seat and shut the door as the gentleman he always has been. He laughed, "It's a surprise." I rolled my eyes, "Come on, tell me!" I begged. "No, it's a surprise." I pouted, "Okay..." I dragged out.
Landon turned on the music and switched it from his rap music to instead mellow and calm sounding music to which I assume to set the mood.
We didn't talk much as we were both in deep thought and just listening to the music. Suddenly, Landon was braking extremely fast as a blur of black sprung in front of us.
Screeeech. The sound of his brakes made.
"Woah, Jasmine! Did you see that? I'm sorry if I scared you." My heart was racing so fast, I was very much scared. Whatever it was seemed like it had a death wish or something.
"It's ok, I'm just glad we are ok. Let's just enjoy the night together." I said holding my chest as my heart is still pounding against my chest. Landon took a bold move and held my hand and began to rub circles. "Relax and take a deep breath. We are almost there. I still never understood the reason why your parents wanted to live in the woods." Landon chuckled. It helped lighten the mood but I still felt very bothered on what gave us both a heart attack.
We pulled up to a beautiful (and expensive) restaurant I've always dreamed of eating at, The Wolf. I gasped, "No way that we are eating here!" Landon laughed, "Yes, I've been saving up forever ago to take you!"
"Awww." I gush excitedly.
We parked and I follow Landon inside. It was breathtaking. It was everything I have ever imagined it to be!
"Do you have reservations?" The hostess asked. Landon nodded, "Yes, for Landon Pierre." The male nodded, "Follow me." I was so excited, I heard this restaurant has the best chicken, potatoes and peas!
We were shown our table and we both sat down on the balcony. The restaurant was a little crowded but not too much. It had a rooftop bar, however we were sitting on the balcony dining area since we are under 21 unfortunately.
My eyes scan my surroundings to see a man staring toward us. How strange.
"Uh Jasmine?" A voice interrupted my thoughts. "Hm?" My eyes flickered to Landon.
"I just want to thank you for agreeing to come on a date with me." He said with a beautiful smile. "I have always had a crush on you and since we are graduating high school, I figured lets give one another a real chance. I'm so happy you feel the same way and I promise to be the man you always dreamed for." He cheeks grew red.
"Wow, Landon. I'm absolutely blown away. No one has ever done this. And yes, I have always liked you and I never thought in a million years that you would like me back." I said blushing. My blushing was interrupted to a sound of glass breaking and I jumped.
"Oh my gosh, Jasmine. Are you ok?" Landon seemed very alert. I nodded, "Sorry got a little frightened. Not expecting some drunk to drop his glass." I mumbled and he chuckled.
"Alright, well I'm hungry- so let's order and eat!" I nodded in agreement as my stomach rumbled. The man who broke the glass didn't even bother to clean it up as he was staring into my soul. At this point, I took the opportunity to get a good look at him. Although I should not be doing so because I'm currently on a date with my forever crush. But I can't stop and see how handsome he is.
He is tall, brown hair and glistening icy blue eyes. The once angry look on his face turned into a small smile as if he knew I was checking him out. He was indeed very muscular and probably more than Landon.
I shook my head and directed my attention back to Landon. I guess us being a couple of high school students stand out at a restaurant as luxurious as this one.
