You don't realize you love something until...until they are truly gone from your life.

-Y/N, 2020. (Lost his Dark Souls 3 disc.)

Y/N: "Hey! Put that down! You are going to-"

But before I could finish, it was already done.

A white flash covered the area and remained that way for a long time.

Now, you must be wondering, how did we get here?

Well...it's a long story, so buckle up.

Earlier...

Y/N: "Now, with the French Y/N gone, the singularity should be fixed, right?"

Gudako: "It should've...but hasn't. This means a Holy Grail exists and we should destroy it as soon as possible."

Artoria: "Master, it has only been a day. Should we start investigating this?"

Gudako: "Yes...if this I what I think it is, we might have a bad situation..."

Mash: "Do not worry, senpai. We'll handle it."

Gudako: "It's not that Mash, I trust you all with my life. But if this is going into that direction, we might have to defeat Y/N Alter."

The room was quiet, we were in a hotel room and were expecting to head back, but the director told us the singularity still wasn't completed.

Y/N: "But...they need a holy grail, right?"

Gudako: "Huh?"

Y/N: "I did a little research while at Chaldea. The singularity at New Orleans included Jeanee's Alter. Jalter was created because someone had the holy grail and revived her...kinda. This only happened because they had a sorcerer with a supreme knowledge of how it worked. I doubt they have that type of person here."

Gudako: "After all, we can not doubt. I'm starting to see a pattern here. In every singularity, there has been the use of the holy grail. This could apply here..."

Jeanee: "If master is right, we will need to find this holy grail and destroy it, before anybody can do anything with it."

Artoria: "Yes, but where would the Holy Grail be? The Y/N of this singularity must have it."

Mash: "But where would he place it?"

Y/N: "I wish I could answer, but him and I are pretty much two different beings. But let's start with the castle first."

Gudako: "Great, since French Y/N is defeated, the castle must be abandoned. Everyone lets go. And please, don't attract any attention."

Heading to the castle, it was abandoned like master said it was.

We checked the lower floors, and mid-level, and even checked his floor all dedicated to himself, still, nothing.

Gudako: "This proved harder than I realized. If anybody gets their hands on the Holy Grail, this singularity will be proven harder than initially expected."

At this point, it was as if we were playing hide and seek basically.

Taking a book from a desk, it was written neatly, but the more I read, I realized.

This was my handwriting! This must mean...the French Y/N wrote it!

Beginning to read while everyone else was still searching for clues, almost made my jaw drop...

???

French Y/N: "Say...this will make me live forever?"

Trader: "Of course! After death, you will be wished upon, and you will gain unimaginable power, strength, knowledge, everything!"

I began to question him, something like this wouldn't be possible. But holding the artifact, I couldn't miss out on this chance.

French Y/N: "What did you call it again?"

Trader: "The original owner, named Solo, called it...the Holy Grail."

French Y/N: "I see...how much for this?"

Trader: "Oh...how about a voyage ship and some men?"

French Y/N: "Consider yourself a captain, it will be done."

He gave me the Holy Grail, it was in the shape of a large cup, although it didn't carry much weight. Can I drink wine out of this?

Bad idea...perhaps I could resell it. I doubt anyone knows how to work it.

Later that day, I put in my dining room, among all of the plates and cups. It would be hard to find it just in case someone reads this journal.

If I forgot where it was, this is a hint. Who keeps the fire? Right after that, who was looking for their own light?

Reality

What? These questions are easy.

Y/N: "Guys, I think I have a lead to the Holy Grail."

Mash: "We do?"

Jeanee: "Great! We are one step closer to destroying the Holy Grail!"

Gudako: "Hopefully, Y/N lead the way."

Y/N: "Will do."

Heading downstairs, they entered a room. The dining room French Y/N declared.

But this was way more than a dining room, it was large. Very, very large.

Artoria: "Y/N, is it here?"

Y/N: "Somewhere in this room. The Y/N of this singularity gave us hints, and I'm the only one who can answer them."

Mash: "So, how do we answer them?"

Y/N: "Just in case someone wanted the Holy Grail, this Y/N gave hints that only he would know himself. But you see, I'm here."

Handing the journal, they were in awe.

Gudako: "Alright, what's the first hint?"

Y/N: "The first hint is, 'Who keeps the fire?' One of the Lord of Cinders, The Ashen One, had a companion named the Firekeeper."

Jeanee: "But what does that have to do with the Holy Grail?"

Y/N: "Exactly. I'm trying to link the two together..."

With that being said, everyone spread out and looked for something that had to include fire.

There was a large fireplace, but French Y/N wouldn't put the Holy Grail in the fireplace.

Jeanee: "Hey, Y/N?"

Y/N: "Oh, hey Jeanee, what's up?"

Jeanee: "I just wanted to thank you earlier, from, you know, the French Y/N here."

Y/N: "Oh, no problem. Director told me he was the problem of the singularity and I sought to defeat him."

Maybe I haven't realized this earlier, but Jeanee was cute. Even though we haven't talked much since we both met each other, I could tell I've missed out on a lot.

Jeanee: "Maybe...after this, we could catch up? It surely has been a while since we've talked..."

Y/N: "Oh, agreed. I've met up with Astolfo earlier and your alter recently-"

Jeanee: "M-my alter?"

She asked in such a worried tone, her alter wasn't bad, but the facial expression she's giving might mean Jalter is something else...

Y/N: "Yeah, I originally thought that was you but I was proven wrong. She's like you but..."

Jeanee: "Rude, nonchalant, sassy, and a total jerk?"

Y/N: "Yeah! How did you know?"

Jeanee: "That's what most people say about her."

While conversing, I couldn't help but look at the picture above the fireplace. Taking off my helmet, Jeanne noticed this.

Jeanee: "Hm? Y/N what happened?"

Y/N: "It's this...painting. The eyes are...a bit off...somehow."

If the first hint was the Firekeeper, what does the painting over the fireplace symbolize?

But the more I thought, the more those eyes seemed weird.

Hold on.

eyes.

Eyes.

Eyes.

Eyes!

The Firekeeper doesn't have eyes! So this confirms that the Holy Grail is somewhere around the Fireplace!

Forming my weapon to appear using magical energy, I changed it into Scimitar as it changed form, giving me a new arsenal of abilities.

Now, I burnt the painting, catching everyones attention now.

Gudako: "Y/N, let's not have any bad ideas now."

Y/N: "Trust me, I won't."

As the fire reached eyes, two, sparkling jewels appeared and feel into my hand.

Aha! I knew there was bigger meaning from this.

Now, with all of this momentum building up for me to find the clues, I threw the jewels in the fireplace.

The fire hand sizzled down, and a piece of paper ejected from it.

Picking it up, there was numbers written on it.

Y/N: "Now, we solved the first one. The second hint it, 'Who wants to seek for their own sun?' Easy. It was this guy named Solaire."

But once again, I had trouble connecting the dots here.

Artoria: "If it was anything like last time, the painting must have the answer."

Mash: "We can't fully rely on it, but it is our safest bet."

Gudako: "Already found it."

Master pointed at a picture of French Y/N sitting on a chair as the sun beamed down on him.

Burning it again, I used the same technique, and would you look at that.

A safe was behind it. Sitting tight in the wall.

Goodness, this felt like an egg hunt.

Cracking the safe, there was jewelry, money, and things like that, but then, the golden cup beaming in all of its glory.

The Holy Grail.

Passing it around, we wondered who would destroy it, but I began to have THAT feeling.

That feeling...wasn't always nice. And it just proved the point just now.

Something was coming for us, something was going to hurt master.

Y/N: "Everyone! Duck!"

The sound of windows being broke and arrows flying through was a good sign. Keeping master safe, the rain of arrows stopped as feet approached.

With everyone standing up now and drawing out their weapons, French men came.

Gudako: "Everyone! Attack!"

And we all did. In a full-out battle, where magic is used and things like that, we won.

Y/N: "We need to hurry up and destroy this cup before anything else happens."

Gudako: "Agreed, Y/N?"

Y/N: "With pleasure."

Using my sword, I slashed through it. Melting it in the process with my hot, fiery blade.

It fell on the floor like hot goo, and k was happy.

Y/N: "That's it! We are done, right? Singularity solved-"

That feeling occurred again, and this time, explosions erupted from all around. Forcing us to head outside.

When we did, we realized...

That wasn't the Holy Grail.

Well, how do we know?

Because the real one...is sitting in his hand. The General's hand.

General: "Ha! You thought you all won! The battle is just beginning. Y/N Le Roux will live on! He will be stronger than ever! Smarter than ever! And faster than ever!"

Each word seemed to make the Holy Grail light up, and master and could see where this was going.

General: "So! My lord! Come back! Show the opposes why you are called the King of Terror!"

Y/N: "Hey! Put that down! You are going to"

But before I could finish, it was already done.

A white flash covered the area and remained that way for a long time.

Now, you must be wondering, how did we get here?

Well...it was a long story. And now we are caught up.

The light settled, and my body was currently on the floor. Trying to pick it up, I struggled a few times and did.

???: "Ah, yes. It's great to be back. I told you this wouldn't be the last time you see me."

My eyes widen, and this almost makes my blood turn cold. I shakily lookup.

Light grey hair, yellow eyes. Black armor with dark red lanes around him, white/pale skin...

Y/N: "N-no way..."

???: "Yes way! I've been resurrected! I've been given unimaginable power! I am no longer Y/N Le Roux..."

His blade forms In his hand, and a slight, evil, devilish smile creeps his face.

Y/N Alter: "Hehe...I am Y/N Alter."
