Noa was asleep near Kai while tossing and turning in her sleep
She dreamed that she was in the Forbidden Forest again, but this time it had a more darker and gloomier atmosphere
"Hello?" Noa called out as her voice echoed throughout the forest, she suddenly saw a shadowy figure passing past her with great speed
"Hello?!... who's there?!" Noa voice echoed again, she suddenly heard a deep, evil chuckle from behind
She turned to see a silhouette of a cave lion with his right eye glowing in the dark, Noa backed off
"Who are you? You... you look familiar" Noa gasped as she was being cautious
"That doesn't surprise me, I'm your end... and finally, I will finish what I started all those years ago!" The silhouette roared as he charged at Noa as she screamed, she bolted her eyes open and saw that she was still at the campsite
"What was that?..." Noa asked to herself as she calmed herself down
She then saw Kai and watched him while he slept
"Kai is such a fun guy... and he's so sweet" Noa thought
She looked around and saw that everyone was still asleep
"I will make him and Min feel like this is their forever home" Noa whispered
Noa looked up to see that everyone was waking up
"Good morning, everyone" Noa greeted
"Good morning, honey" Leah greeted back
"Good morning, Noa" Peaches said
Soon, Manny woke up and yawned
"Morning, honey" Ellie giggled
"Morning to you all" Manny yawned
"Well, I'm starving, let's get some breakfast" Min said
"I agree" Nathan agreed
"Me too" Peaches said
Soon Diego and Shira woke up
"Morning, Aunt, morning, Uncle" Noa greeted
"Morning, Noa" Diego yawned
"Kai's still sleeping" Louis pointed out
"Leave that to me" Granny said as she poked him with her cane before Sid pulled her back
"Granny" Sid sighed
"Eh, I never get to have any fun" Granny grumbled
"I'll wake him up" Noa said as she gently shook Kai
"Geez, she seems so sweet with Kai" Manny whispered
"Indeed she is. And maybe, just maybe, they really will end up together" Ellie smiled
"Ellie, we talked about this, Noa still thinks she's a saber. After all they just met" Manny replied
"Soon she will realize she's not, ever heard of love at first sight?" Ellie smiled
"Love at first sight" Manny mumbled as he rolled his eyes
"Kai, wake up!" Noa said as she tried to wake him up
Kai mumbled as he turned in his sleep
"Sometimes Kai's a heavy sleeper" Min smirked
"Oh" Noa replied as she looked back at Kai
"Wake up" Noa said as she shook Kai's head
Kai bolted his eyes open and saw Noa smiling at him
"Oh, good morning, Noa" Kai yawned as he stretched himself
"Morning, sleepy head" Noa giggled
"How are you?" Kai asked
"I'm good, you?" Noa replied
"I'm good too" Kai replied
"We should get some breakfast, I'm wasted away" Sid said
"We'll go hunting" Victor replied as he stood up and walked to Leah and the pack
"We'll go with you" Diego said as he and Shira walked up to them
"Kai, do wanna come with me and get breakfast?" Noa asked
"Sure, no problem" Kai smiled as he got up
Noa and Kai left to get breakfast as Peaches said
"I'll go with Louis" Peaches said as she smiled at the molehog
"What about us?" Crash asked
"You can stay with dear Granny" Manny smirked
"Come on, we're gonna find something to chew" Granny said as she waddled away
"Whoo-hoo(!)" the twins sarcastically cheered as they followed Granny
Meanwhile, Noa and Kai were wandering around the forest while looking for breakfast
"Kai?" Noa asked
"Yeah?" Kai replied
"I'm really sorry about your loss" Noa said as she felt bad for Kai
"It's ok, really" Kai replied
"Yeah. But still, I can't imagine how it feels to be the only human here... besides Min" Noa sighed
"We're not the only ones" Kai corrected
"Oh, that's right. Never give up hope" Noa smiled as she pats Kai's head
Kai rolled his eyes and sighed
"Noa. Look at our footprints" Kai said as he and Noa looked at their footprints
"They're the same shape" Kai said as he placed his foot right next to Noa's footprint
"Those could be your footprints" Noa smirked
"How about... our shadows?" Kai asked as he and Noa looked at their shadows
"We match" Kai added while Noa gazed at their shadows
"You're right. They're the same, you must be part saber!" Noa giggled after she gently punched Kai's shoulder and then walked off while Kai stood there
"It's even harder than I thought" Kai sighed
The whole time Kai noticed that Noa was deep in thought
"Noa, what is it?" Kai asked as Noa snapped out of her thoughts
"Huh? Oh, it's just... I had a weird dream, actually a nightmare. It was about a cave lion who wanted to finish what he started years ago and then he lunged at me" Noa explained as Kai looked at her
"Strange" Kai mumbled
"Strange" Noa replied
They didn't realize that they walked deeper and deeper into the forest
Noa looked around and realized their surroundings
"Uh, Kai. I think we may have wandered too far" Noa pointed out
"There is a possibili-" Kai started when they heard a twig snap
"What was that?" Noa asked almost immediately
"Noa, calm down, it's probably nothing" Kai chuckled as he tried to sooth her
"Ok, maybe you're right. I mean, what could ha-" Noa started when they both heard a low growl behind Noa
"We have company, don't we?" Noa asked as Kai saw one eye glowing in the dark behind her and he gasped
Noa slowly turned around and saw it too, she gasped and quickly backed away as she got close to Kai
"I think we're in big, huge, giant problems!" Noa gasped as she actually trembled in fear
"Funny, I was about to say that" Kai chuckled nervously as Noa got her courage back
"Show yourself!" Noa called out as her voice echoed throughout the forest, when they heard a deep, cold laughter
"Well, well, well. Look what we have here" Zane chuckled darkly
"You!" Kai growled
"Who are you and what do you want?!" Noa demanded
"Allow me to introduce myself... I am your end" Zane chuckled evilly
