"How much longer bird beak? This walking thing is getting old" you said annoyed. The man you were following ignored your question and kept walking forward.
You narrowed your eyes at him "rude..."
After calling Chisaki you and your brother were instructed to meet in an undisclosed location where one of his men would be waiting to direct you to where the meeting would be held.
Suddenly the man stopped in front of a door. He opened it and gestured you two inside. As you walked inside you saw Chisaki sitting casually on a black leather couch with his men behind him.
"You had us walking around in circles for 30 minutes. We're not ants" said Shigaraki with annoyance as you both sat down " Are all yakuza strong holds like this?"
"We don't know who might be watching us or from where. And not all of our guests have the best intentions" said Chisaki while eyeing both you and your brother ", so we have a number of routes leading here, An underground reception room where we can be reasonably sure of our privacy"
"You ever wonder how we survive so long? Its cuz of little details like that." said the small man in a black one piece attire with a white beak "Anyway down to business. Did you really mean what you said on the phone the other day? That you'll join us under the right conditions?"
"Don't go celebrating just yet you little bird midget" you said while propping your feet on the glass table in front of you, your brother doing the same "You guys want to capitalize on our reputation and we want to increase our strength. Our needs happen to coincide for the moment."
"Put your feet down, the table will get dirty." overhaul firmly stated
"Oh Please. You really ought to mind your manners. We don't appreciate disrespect. " said Shigaraki with his eyes narrowed at overhaul "Now we wont be putting ourselves under you, we'll still be calling our own shots, got it? Either its a joint partnership or we walk out the door."
"So those are the conditions?" asked Chisaki
"One more thing bird beak, That grand plan you mentioned, we want to know the details. It's a reasonable request. We need to decide whether its worth lending you our name, you see..." you reached into your pocket to grab something when all of a sudden you felt a gun pressed against your head and one of overhauls men beside you.
"Hands where we can see them" said the one with the gun "Stop acting like you're in charge here"
"Yeah who the hell do you two think you are YOU LITTLE PUNKS?!" yelled the other.
You and your brother glared at both of them " Who do you think YOU are? One of your disposable thugs against our Hikiishi? The scales are far from even" you stated
"And lets not forget Compresses arm" continued your brother "We expect concessions in return for what we lost."
"Chrono, Mimic, stand down. They came all this way to make their offer, the least we can do is here them out. By all means continue" said overhaul
"Like I was saying before your friends got jumpy. We want details. We can start with this..." you reached into your pocket and took out a red bullet. "Its part of the plan right? A strange thing happened to Mr. Compress when he was shot with this. He couldn't use his quirk for a while. So we'd like to know what this is and what you're planning to do with it" you narrowed your eyes at him "tell us"
"I'll break the natural order of things . They say all for one ruled by stealing other peoples quirks, I've been taking his method and fine tuned it a little. Ive already begun spreading my roots across this country. Little by little, piece by piece, we're laying the ground work for what's to come."
"Is that so?" inquired your brother
Overhaul was silent until he spoke up again "Say, you two ever play shogi?" he asked while moving a piece on the board
"No" said your brother bluntly
"Definitely not, I prefer more thrilling games that involve blood rather than moving pieces on a board" you said
" Go! Its your move" said mimic while pointing at you two
"Take it away, we don't even know the rules" said Shigaraki annoyed
"Have an opened mind. View this as a learning experience. It'll help you understand the bigger picture."
"Hm?"
"Shogi is an interesting game because you can use the pieces you steal from your opponent " continued Chisaki " I want Kurogiri or Toga. And maybe Bubaigawara, I don't feel at ease when they're doing your bidding."
"Those are useful players. You want to clip our wings" said Shigiraki " but those 3 are cornerstones of our group and you can't have em all."
"Then how will we build trust? Right now theres ill will between us. I've told you everything about my plan, you have to offer something valuable in return. You're members are important to you, aren't they?" questioned overhaul
"And what if they are? You plan to use that to your advantage? Don't think they'll easily comply after all that has happened " you said
"I expect as much, but if we are to move forward this is a necessary step. We get 2 members and you get your joint partnership along with the success this plan will bring. We both gain something in the end." said Chisaki
"You are right in that matter" said shigaraki " alright, we'll give you 2 of our members and we'll se how far we go from there"
"So we've come to an understanding" said overhaul
"In a way" responded your brother
"Then I guess we're done here" he said
"I guess we are" you responded
And with that the meeting was wrapped up
"You want us to work with the hassaikai?" questioned twice
"Yeah, why do we have to keep repeating it" said Shigaraki "Their plan has some serious potential, so from today on Toga and Twice will be yakuza members"
"I don't find this joke humorous, It's hilarious Shigaraki!" exclaimed twice
"They wanted Mr. Kurogiri too, but we held out. He's got his own job to do right now so there's no way we can spare him, its too important" you said "theres an underground route you can-"
Suddenly twice grabbed your shoulder "Stop pretending everything is cool! Why are you letting this beat face loser give you orders?! He killed big sis Magne and he took Mr Compresses arm! Did you just forget?!" Twices voice cracked as he continued "and its all my fault" he sounded at the verge of tears " I brought him to meet with you" he removed his mask revealing a heartbreaking expression "I maybe a villain but I'm human too, we all are. Come on Toga, don't you agree with me?"
You looked over at Toga.
"The question I've got for you Tomura and Y/n, is what we mean to you" spoke toga as she jumped down from the table she was sitting on "To me the league is a place where I feel at home. I joined you because of Mr Stainy, to make the world a place where I can do whatever I want and live freely" she said as she twirled towards you and your brother" It'd be such a bummer to be distracted from my goal" she then put a knife to you and your brothers necks " I guess what I'm wondering is, why should i do something i don't want to do with people I wanna cut?"
"Its simple" you said with seriousness
Your brother took the hand off his face. He never did it often but when he did and when you had no hint of playfulness they knew you two were dead serious. Shigaraki spoke up "Because this is for all of us. They want to keep the league in check so they'll try to win you two over little by little"
Toga removed the knives
"We want you to infiltrate them, flatter them, but never forget they're beneath us." you said
"Twice you said they have to pay for what they did. We'll make sure they do. And this will work." continued shigaraki
"We believe in you" you both said
They will pay
All of them will
