The cultural appropriation in the fashion industry has existed since the very beginning. Different people from different cultures have all experienced something from their culture, that means the most to them being robbed off them and profited on by other people.
This is no different.
How dare Louis Vuitton and Fendi take something of so much cultural significance, a symbol of resistance and strength and courage to the Palestinians, and turn it into a fashion statement?
And that too, after not saying a word in support of Palestine.
I really despise the way the West mock us for certain things and then use those very same things on themselves and suddenly it's a trend and something fashionable.
I'm honestly done with all of these brands.
