I was putting all my things into my backpack when my phone buzzed I gave a slight glance and immideately noticed Brights id
I don't even have to check to know what he's saying because if it's a text at the end of the school day it's very much likely going to be him telling me to go ahead and go home on my own as he'll be going out with someone .
This boy should really stop atleast during the final year of school I shook my head and continued with stuffing my bag up
"So there's this really huge library a bit further out but I think it'll have everything we'll need " tu said looking up from her phone
She turned her phone around to show me the Google map of the Library she was talking about
"Yeah I've been there it's got everything you'd need but it's a 45 minute metro ride will you be okay with that ?" I asked and she nodded smiling
"Oh definitely I don't mind we should head out now there's good places to eat near by so we can fill up before working too !" She said and i smiled
"Yup let's do that !" I replied while she just hummed along

"Oh you're home " mae said as I walked through the door
Me and tu worked for hours and hours and didn't even realise when it was already dark
"Yeah " I said groaning a bit
I'm not used to staying out this late it's tiering

"Yeah mae that stupid teacher give us our final project today and wanted us to give him the final topic and a few more things by tomorrow ! " I groaned and she chuckled
"Aww go rest up then I'll call you when dinner is ready kay !" She said and i nodded
"Yes please thank you mae " I replied before going up
My phone buzzed before I could get into my room I looked at it only to see a text from tu
So I casually opened the door and the text
"You've got all the materials right ?" Her text read
She literally asked me the same question 20 times before we went our own way
"Yes ma'am " I replied Chuckling
"Where have you been ?"
"Hah ! Oh god Bright you'll give me a heart attack"
"You didn't answer my questions "
I should really close that stupid window .
But then again I don't for a reason
"I was out what are you doing here ?" I asked as I kept my bag on the study table

"What were you doing out so late ?" He asked and i turned around crossing my hands infront of my chest
"Why mother can I not be out ?" I asked and he rolled his eyes
"You're never out this late . "
"Yeah well I had work so I had to be out now if you'll excuse me I need to take a shower "
I said walking past him only to get stopped
"Were you with someone ?" He asked and i gave him a confused look
"Are you interrogating me ? "

"Jeez what got your panties twisted ? And yeah now please let me take a shower I feel sticky " I whined

"Oh my god what's with you ? Why does it matter ? I was out doing my assignment now leave me alone I'm really tired bright " I said getting my arm back from him and walking into the bathroom slamming the door shut

I walked out in my pajamas and saw Bright sitting on my bed pouting

I walked to my table taking a seat arranging all the materials we collected today
I'd say we did a pretty good job .. if the topic gets approved then the next two weeks is going to be a bit hectic because as far as I remember we need to do a physical survey that means either going door to door or social interactions with strangers

"Wha ~ bright get off of me " I Exclaimed when the man in question pulled my chair back and took a seat on my lap
To many this might seem very weird but this isn't so for us this is our way of getting information out of the other person
However we haven't done this for a while
"Nope not until you tell me where you were and with whom ?" He said and i sighed
"Bright stop being childish "
"I'm not "
"You are . We haven't done this since we were like 12"
"So start talking and I'll get off "
"Fine fine I was at the huge library that's a bit further away into town and I was doing my assignment see " I said pointing towards my desk

"Huh ? The new girl ?"
"Yeah she's my patner now get off of me you're heavy " I said before shoving him
He was a bit out of it so he ended up in the ground making me laugh
"What's up with you bright are you okay ?" I laughed and he nodded
"I should get back home " he said making me give him a confused look
"Not staying for dinner ?"
"Nah I've got homework " he said before exiting through the window
I simply shrugged and got back to my work

Tu and Win's topic got approved by their teacher this only Meant that the two were going to be super busy for the next two weeks
And that's exactly what happened
The assignment required them to get atleast 500 survey's filled out so they can come up with a wider range While calculating the percentages
But this also meant late nights for win the entirety of the two weeks he was extremely busy with working with the written portion of it all
Tu and win had to work together hence they were always together after school as well
There was a day when win came back home and found his deer friend fast asleep on his bed his eyes looked puffy which made win very confused but he didn't push much
That same night he was on the phone with tu going over where they should go the next day to fill the survey when he heard ruffling around his room the next thing he knew bright was gone
*Day before the submission*
Bright was in win's room looking a bit lost not going to lie win did ask him if everything was alright but he got no response so he let it all go not wanting to push it further
~ring~
"Finally ! I was waiting for your call !" Win Exclaimed into the phone as he put it on speaker
"Sorry sorry the guest left just now "
"How was the annoying kid ?" Win laughed
"Annoying and clearly he's also hit puberty god he tried to hit on me you know !" Tu reply making win laugh
"Aww the kid likes you "
"You want to die ?"
"No ma'am now come on let's fina~"
Before win could finish he heard a very out of tune strumming from his bed
He looked over only to see Bright holding his guitar playing it
"Give me a sec tu " win said before muting himself
"Bright ! What are you doing keep it down !" Win said
Bright looked up he almost looked angry
"No !"
"What ?"
"No I wanna play " bright said
"What ? Bright I'm working here please jeep it down "
"Are you ?"
"Yes ! Now keep it down or leave !"
"Really ?"
"Yeah ! This is important "

"Fine then I'll leave " he said before win could even reply
