The Trolls walked around the town, but sat at a table with Archer. He was more cautious since the leaders were so different. Not only that, but he really cared about his friends
Whoever they were seeing in this town had answers
"And that's why I'm gonna give you all each limited amount of money." Archer said
"Understandable." They said
Archer gave the leaders some money and they immediately jolted off. Branch and Carol went so Carol could give Branch relationship advice. Sparky had stayed with Archer she really had to talk to him
Barb was a lot more... closed off then she was with Sparky
"Hey Archer." Sparky said
"Oh hey." Archer said
"So you're a... lizard." Sparky said
"-.-"
"Yes, yes I'm a lizard." Archer said
"Where is your kind from?" Sparky asked
"Ehhh it's a long story. We're a bunch of runaways who ran away from home." Archer said
"Must've been scary being away from home." Sparky said
"It was." Archer said
"Why didn't you iust... go back." Sparky said
"I couldn't go back, but I don't regret it. Sooner or later I met Poppy and the Trolls! I wouldn't change that for the world." Archer said
"Yeah the Trolls are a big family." Sparky said
"Well what about you? Don't you have family waiting for you?" Archer asked
Sparky heard Barb laughing. Sparky looked at her and saw Barb throw a skunk at someone which made it spray
"HAH!! YES!! GOOD BOY STINKS!!" Barb shouted
"My mom and dad are both dead." Sparky said
"Gosh I'm sorry to hear that. Do you have other family?" Archer asked
"Well I have Barb and Uncle Trash." Sparky said
"Well Barb doesn't seem to be paying any attention to you." Archer said
"Yeah she's mad at me so." Sparky said, rubbing her arm
"What's she mad at you for?" Archer asked
"Our last adventure, Cybil attacked her, and she got mad at me because I didn't stop him or even check on her after." Sparky said
"I'm sure you didn't know what to do. Why'd he attack her?" Archer said
"Well she scratched me on accident and Cybil got really mad and protective, and everyone was treating her like a monster." Sparky said
"Why were they doing that? Were you one of them?" Archer asked
"Yeah I was one of them, and plus she was acting different." Sparky said
"Different how?" Archer asked
"Like she was being rude." Sparky said
"Well we seem to act different when we're scared." Archer said
"Wow I didn't know her being scared would do this to me." Sparky said
"Hurting you was terrible I admit that, but maybe she was going through her own things and didn't know what to do after being treated like a monster." Archer said
"Yeah I guess." Sparky said
"Go and talk to her. I'm sure there's a reason behind all this." Archer said
"I talked to her earlier." Sparky said
"Maybe talking some more would be better for both of you." Archer said
"You sure?" Sparky asked
"Yeah I'm pretty sure." Archer smiled
"Well ok, but if it doesn't go well I'm blaming you." Sparky said
"I'll take full responsibility." Archer said
"Good." Sparky said
Sparky went over to Barb. She was holding the skunk and was about to throw it till she felt a tap on her shoulder and turned around to see Sparky
Barbs expression changed when she saw her
"Hey Barb." Sparky said
"Oh. Hey Sparky." Barb said
"Sparky?" Sparky said confused
"That's your name isn't it?" Barb asked
"Um I thought you called me Sparks not Sparky." Spaeky said
"I did." Barb said, putting the skunk down
"You're still mad at me huh? Sparky asked
"Well... yeah. You didn't even make an attempt to stop him. I thought he was gonna kill me.." Barb said
"You know Cybil was just trying to protect me Barb." Sparky said
"He didn't have to do it in that way. I didn't mean to do that. I've already apologized, but he always brings it up." Barb said
"And you didn't have to attack me either." Sparky said
"I didn't mean to! Something took me over. I- I didn't have any control over myself!" Barb said
"Yeah sure you didn't mean too!" Sparky said
"I didnt!! I wasn't myself! Why won't anyone believe me!? I've been living it down every since! I've wanted to take it all back!" Barb said
"Maybe you should learn to control it so it doesn't happen again!!" Sparky said
"I've tried!! You know!! Cybil told me everything about your little conversation you two had before you left!" Barb said
"What conversation!!?" Sparky asked
"You know what I'm talking about!! You- YOU WANTED HIM TO KILL ME!!!!" Barb shouted
"...I'm sorry!! Ok? I was mad!" Sparky said
"Mad enough you wanted to wish death upon me!!? Ever since then I wanted to die!!! I don't even wanna be here anymore!!" Barb said
"Well if you wanna die then go ahead!!" Sparky said
Barbs eyes widened and went quiet. The Trolls looked at them. Barb was on the verge of tears
"After this adventure... we should go our separate ways.." Sparky said
Barb tried to control her anger
"What made you come back in the first place?.." Barb asked
"You... but I think I made a mistake coming back." Sparky said
"Then you were wrong. You're actually wrong this time." Barb said
"Yeah... I am." Sparky said
"I really am turning just like gramps then aren't I? Of course I am.. all because of a stupid accident." Barb said
"Can't blame you... Thrash was like him too.. let's just hope you don't kill me." Sparky said
"I would never do that!" Barb said
"Well gramps and Thrash did that, so maybe you're next to kil!!" Sparky said
"I'm not!! I would never- I'M NOT LIKE THAT!! YOU DON'T KNOW ONE OUNCE OF THINGS HE DID TO ME!!! WHY DIDN'T YOU LET HIM KILL ME!! STOP ACTING LIKE YOU CARE ABOUT ME!!! NOBODY CARES ABOUT ME!! NOBODY LOVES ME!! I DON'T HAVE ANY FRIENDS!!" Barb shouted
Carol wanted to step in but Branch stopped her
"I care about you Barb!! I love you!! You're the only family I have left, and I'm trying not to lose you! But I feel like I am!" Sparky said
"All because of an accident!! You know I would never hurt you on purpose!!" Barb said
"I know that Barb!!" Sparky said
"Then why are you acting like I meant to do it!! I was just scared!! I had no idea you actually wanted dad to shatter my egg!!" Barb said
"That was a long time ago!!" Sparky said
"But you said it!! Cybil told me!" Barb said
"I said it!! I didn't mean it! Barb listen, I care about you so much and I'm sorry I said that, and I just want you to forgive me please." Sparky said
Barb looked at her
"You just told me to go die.. how can I forgive you after that..." Barb said
"I was mad Barb." Sparky said
"I was too.. but I'd never wish death on you.." Barb said
"I know... I don't think when I'm mad... I don't want you to die to." Sparky said
"Your words said other wise.. I didn't know you were thinking that.." Barb said
"I didn't mean to say that Barb. I never want you to die at all, and plus you're my cousin... and I love being your cousin Barb." Sparky said
"I've wanted to die for so long ever since that day.." Barb said
"Look... even if we fight and stuff I'll always be here for you Barb." Sparky said
"No you won't.." Barb said
"Yes I will Barb." Sparky said
"You just said you're leaving again. You just said coming back was a mistake." Barb said
"I said it was a mistake. I never said I was leaving again." Sparky said
"It's the same thing. If you didn't want me around all you had to was say so.." Barb said
"I do want you around Barb." Sparky said
"Tsk that's not what Cybil said." Barb said
"Wow, so you're gonna listen to what Cybil said?" Sparky asked
"I didn't say that. He told me everything you said. I've already had a bad life. Didn't know you thought of me as a monster too." Barb said
"Yeah I had a bad life too." Sparky said
"You were out there running away from me and dad when we were kids.. I didn't even know you existed till you saved us from that snake.." Barb said
"There's a reason I was running Barb." Sparky said
"From the Rock Trolls. Why would you want to talk to someone who's a total monster and who's next in line?.. I know you all think of me as one. Don't even try to say you don't." Barb said
"Then that means I'm one too." Sparky said
"You're not a monster. I'm the one who was raised with dad. He was close to gramps." Barb said
"But we both have his blood... doesn't matter we're both related to him anyway." Sparky said
"Why'd you even tell me we were cousins?.." Barb asked
"I wasn't supposed to... but I thought it would've been better for you to know the truth." Sparky said
"What did Uncle Rock tell you not to? Then why break his rule.." Barb said
"I followed his rules my entire life, and I still follow some of them, and plus I didn't wanna lie to you." Spaeky said
"You've lied to me before." Barb said
"I'm sorry! Ok? What else do you want from me?" Sparky asked
Barb stayed quiet that's when Sparky took a picture out of her hair. It was when Sparky became queen and after they had defeated Flame
Barb was so happy in that picture. Now Barb was just a sad, upset Troll living the guilt of hurting Sparky
Barb... wasn't Barb
"Barb please." Sparky said
"If you hated me so much all you had to do was say so." Barb said
"I don't hate you Barb!" Sparky said
"Yeah you do. I don't even have a single friend because of what happened. I'm gonna go." Barb said
"I'll come with you!" Sparky said
"You don't have to. You probably want some time alone too. After all... I'm next anyway aren't I?" Barb asked
"I'm coming with you." Spaeky said
"You don't have to. Nobody should be around someone who hurt them." Barb said
"Pfft I've been around Trolls way worse than you Barb." Sparky said
"You don't even know me." Barb said
"And you don't know me so we're even." Sparky said
"Just stop trying to protect me." Barb said
"I'm not protecting you." Sparky said
"Yeah I know that much. You sure didn't protect me from Cybil." Barb said, floating away to be alone
"Why are you always bringing Cybil up?" Sparky said
Barb stopped moving in midair and looked at Sparky
"You're always on his side. Maybe I'm just meant to be alone.. you sure didn't mind going before." Barb said
"That's because I love him! And plus I've known Cybil longer Barb." Sparky said
"Yeah I know. Just didn't think you'd let him hurt me that bad." Barb said, going further up in the air
"I know I'm sorry but... I was just not thinking Barb." Sparky said
"Monsters don't have friends. That's what I don't have either." Barb said
"Well that makes me a monster too! I mean I got no friends!" Sparky said
"Yes you do! You got Poppy, Branch, all the other Trolls! I got... nobody." Barb said
"You have them too Barb." Sparky said
"I just want everything back to normal for us, but now you have a scar. All because of me.." Barb said
"That's ok! I love scars Barb." Sparky said
"But it looks like it hurts." Barb said
"Not anymore, and plus I think it looks cool on me." Sparky said
Barb looked at the scar on Sparky's cheek
"It does look pretty cool." Barb said
Carol shoved Branch away and went by Sparky's side
"It does. Oh hey Carol." Sparky said
"Hey Sparks. Let me try talking to her. Romantic Carol is on the case." Carol said
"Yeah... ok." Sparky said
Carol cleared her throat and looked at Barb in the air
"Hey Barb... you alright?" Carol asked
"I don't know.." Barb said
"Wanna hug?" Carol asked, holding out her arms
Barb looked at Carol then away
"I just- I don't want to end up like gramps! But every single day Cybil says the same thing.." Barb said
"Don't worry about that blueberry head boy! He's such a liar, and plus you're nothing like him Barb!" Carol said
Barb looked at her again
"You really think so? I didn't mean to hurt anyone. I didn't mean to hurt Sparky.." Barb said
"I know so and plus! I think Sparky really loves that scar." Carol said
Barb looked at Sparky then at Carol. Sparky did look pretty cool with that scar
"She does look pretty cool." Barb said, coming down
"Pfft she looks awesome!" Carol said
Barb let out a little laugh
"Yeah so awesome." Barb said
"Don't worry Barb. Everything will be alright." Carol said with a smile
Barb jolted into Carol's arms as the two fell back and hugged. Sparky looked at them then at the picture
Why wasn't Barb like that anymore? So happy and free? Now she was filled with worry and fear
"Hey Barb." Sparky said
Barb wiped her nose
"O-oh hey." Barb said
"Look... I'm sorry for everything, and don't worry about the scar. I think it looks cool." Sparky said
"It does look nice.." Barb said
"Yeah it does.." Sparky said
Barb took a deep breath in and have Sparky a tight hug. Sparky returned it
"I'm sorry.. for everything. I really am." Barb said
"I'm sorry too and I forgive you." Sparky said
"I forgive you too. So you promise this time? You won't ditch me like that again?" Barb asked
"I promise you Barb." Sparky said
Barb smiled and playfully hit Sparky's shoulder as the two walked away to have more cousin bonding. Actual cousin bonding
