Is this an update I see? WOOHOOOOO, FINALLY. Sorry it took so long and sorry if it sucks. Haven't written anything in the past months, but i really hope you like it ^^
I started to wonder if following the animal was a good choice. I walked behind the strange dog, leading me deeper in the darkness of the woods. I sighed again and again, each one much more deeper than the last.
The dog must’ve been irritated from my actions for when I prepare myself to sigh one more time, it snapped it’s head at me and let out a bark before continuing his way through the trees. I gaped before going after him.
My head snapped to every direction, my mind starting to doubt. ‘Where exactly is this guy taking me?’ I eyed it’s fur. The black portion on his body seemed to blend in with the shadows, making him somewhat terrifying with a crimson glow.
It stopped and I did too. In front of me was a worn down house. The windows were broken and the door opened, letting out a screech, as if it awaited my arrival all along. I glanced at the dog and gave him a confused look. “Well,” I started, shrugging my shoulders “You first.”
It went inside and disappeared into the building. I followed suite, after thinking hard whether or not should I go in. But what choice did I have? I was left out in the open; I was lost with no shelter and no food.
Whoever this owner was, I hope it didn’t mind me stumbling into his home. And maybe sleeping inside or cooking some of his food. The dog positioned itself in front of the tv, yawning as he laid there with a smile on his face. Literally.
I took it as my time to survey the house. It didn’t have any upper floors and the place looked like it needed some serious cleaning. Dust gathered everywhere and cobwebs were found at the corner of the ceiling.
I went inside the kitchen and plates with food on them were scattered on the sink. I turned on the faucet and the water greeted my hand with coldness. I smiled unknowingly, liking the feeling of the liquid washing away the dirt from my adventure.
I turned it off and went to check the fridge, because food was always a priority. I opened it was greeted by nothing. I frowned. ‘It’s empty’ Closing it, I ventured around the house once more. There were only three doors. One was locked, the other was the bathroom and the last one was the bedroom.
I entered the bedroom and switched on the lights, the feel of guilt crawling at the back my mind. I silently prayed, hoping that the owner seriously didn’t mind me rummaging inside his stuffs.
”Bah, who am I kidding, of course he will. Anyone would.” I mumbled, going to the closet. “Who wouldn’t, I mean, seriously. ”
Shaking my head, my gazed went to the clothes inside the cabinet. “But one night couldn’t hurt, right?” I breathed out and snatched a plain black t-shirt inside and a pair of grey pajamas. I laid them neatly at the bed before taking a towel and went to the bathroom.
My own eyes stared back at me. God, I look like a wreck. My hair was sticking in every direction as my face had small cuts on them. I was sweaty and gross. I took no time and hopped into the shower, humming a song my mom used to sing to me.
Stuck inside the shower as I let the water just flow on me, I couldn’t help but think about the changes when I first arrived. ‘Is my father looking for me?’ Faces of my dad and the other people in the mansion flashed through my mind.
Ben and Sally. Masky and Hoodie. Jeff and Eyeless Jack. What are they all doing right now? Well, I bet Jeff would probably be muttering curses as he always do. Maybe along the lines, “Fucking Serenity, where the fuck are you so I could kill you.”
I inwardly chuckled. I think my Jeff impression was quite good. After all, the guy always swears and kills, from what I heard anyway.
Come to think of it, I never really talked to Jeff. Except for the part where he told me to Go to sleep at some point and the day where we played video games, the thing that lead me to where I am now.
I never got to know the guy. I would only hear about him from Ben and from what he describe, Jeff is a “Narcissist asshole who likes killing people and making them go to sleep” When I asked what made him that way, Ben only replied with a shrug, leaving my question unanswered.
It was okay though. I understood that Jeff was the one who had the right to explain himself. But will he ever open up to me? Excluding the throwing knifes at me, I would greatly enjoy a normal conversation with him.
Sighing for a millionth time today, I got out of the bathroom and walked back to the bedroom, making myself comfortable in this clothes.
The t-shirt went past my hips and the pajamas were a little too long but I had to deal with it for now. Turning off the lights, I ploppled on the bed and huddled inside the covers, my mind slowly drifted off to sleep.
‘Jeff, I want to hear your story’

I shifted, slowing regaining my senses. I hugged the pillow more tighter as I sighed, thinking that a few more minutes of sleep would be okay. Snuggling closer to the soft, sweet cushion, I was left in unspoken happiness.
I hadn’t gotten a good night’s sleep since the death of my mother until now. Smiling, I hugged it in satisfaction. Only that, it hugged me back. Still closing my eyes, my face displayed incertitude. I then heard something weird.
A groan.
It was enough to snap me out of the sleepiness and make me fully awake. Pushing away the thing next to me, I sat straight up, eyes wide open. One fact I know, pillows don’t groan. The thing let out a surprised shout, falling to the cold wooden floor.
“What the actual fuck?!”
I took a deep breath and peered over the side of the bed and was greeted at the sight of a pissed of, confused Jeff the killer on the floor.
“Jeff?!”
“Serenity?!”
We both exclaimed at the same time. We stayed silent for a brief moment, thoughts entering our minds repeatedly in a fast state.
“Why are you with me in the bed?!” I yelled, clutching the covers until my knuckles turned white. “Why are you in my bed?!” He screamed, pointing at me with a bewildered expression.
I paused, mouth agape. “Your bed?” I asked as he nodded swiftly, confirming my suspicions. ‘Fuck’ I was shocked, speechless and a little bit embarrassed. Scratch that, embarrassment was an understatement. Out of all the people out here, this house belonged to him!
‘Screw this’ I got off the bed and gathered my used clothes from last night, folding it in my arms. “Woah, woah, woah, where are you going?” Jeff stood up from his spot as he dusted his red t-shirt. My gaze looked up to him and my face flushed with different shades of red.
He was only wearing a pair of boxers and a red t-shirt. It was the first time I've seen him where anything but that old white hoodie of his.
“What?” He gave me a look I couldn’t decipher. I shook my head quickly, exiting the room as I tried to maximize the distance between us. “Hey!” He chased after me, footsteps loud and clear. Forget about the distance, that guy is too near me.
Grabbing my arm, he forcefully spun me around. I closed my eyes shut. I closed the world shut. The only thought I was thinking was, “Oh my god, I just woke up and now I’m going to die” Minutes passed by and I didn’t know what was Jeff doing. I kept myself in the world of temporary darkness.
“What are you doing?” He broke the silence. I could feel something brush up my leg. Oh, must be the spirits of hell. I slowly opened my eyes, revealing my dark hues. The dog was up against my leg and Jeff was gripping my arm.
“You… aren’t going to kill me?” Nervousness and uncertainty laced my tone. He raised an eyebrow at me. Even with that smile of his, I could practically see the corners of his mouth form into a frown.
“Kill you?” He curiously replied, still keeping a steel grip on me. I gradually nodded as his everlasting smile was back up again; his insanely, disturbing psychotic smile. “Oh no, I won’t” My head snapped to his. “You won’t?”
He laughed at me, finally releasing me from his touch. That surely made a visible red mark. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Jeff, the so-called ultimate killer was letting me free? Is this a trap to lead me to madness? I followed him to the kitchen, wondering.
I was thrilled that I'll still be living and even if he tried to kill me, he would already do so at the bedroom. I tried to pry but he wouldn't answer. Then again, Jeff is bipolar. Just testing the waters, that's all.
He opened the fridge and took out two eggs, setting the materials needed to cook on the stove. Putting my clothes at the side, I took a seat as I carefully watch the deranged man in front of me, frying eggs with a huge smile on his face.
The red husky was right beside him, patiently waiting. Eventually, he finished cooking. I beamed at the smell of freshly cooked eggs and clasped my hands together.
“Thank yo—“ I watch as Jeff set down a place on the floor, letting the dog devour the egg before him.
The other one went inside Jeff’s mouth in an instant, leaving me breathless for such betrayal. “B- but where’s my food?”
He licked his lips, rubbing the far ends of his ‘mouth’ with his hand. “I never said to cook you one.” He breathed out, grabbing a glass of water.
I gaped at his actions. “I haven’t ate since last night! And I checked your fridge and there wasn’t anything there” I exclaimed, not realizing my mistake fast enough. “You what?!” Jeff vicious seethed, his water long forgotten.
“Oops.”
“You opened my fridge?!”
“Hey! Don’t act so violated. You slept in bed with me in it!”
His face looked taken back but angrily responded nonetheless. Remember kids, opening someone else's fridge without their permission is a huge mistake.
“Violated? Last time I checked, you went inside my house. Trespassing stalker.”
I placed a hand on my chest, offended. “I wasn’t planning to go here. Your dog lead me here!” We simultaneously looked at the red husky, sitting on the carpet floor with no care in the world. He yawned as Jeff scolded him.
“Smile! I didn’t tell you to bring people!”
His dog, Smile, just stared at him with strange eyes before closing them and going back to sleep. Jeff grumbled, messing his black hair with both of his hands while going in circles. He paused and landed his gaze on me.
“What?” I asked, uncomfortable with his staring and add on to the fact that I’m wearing his clothes right now. He observed me for a while then, made his way to his bedroom and came back with a black sweater, tossing it at me.
I opened my mouth to utter a question but he beat me with an answer. “Clean up, we’re going back to Slendy’s Mansion.” He simply said while he proceeded to sit on the coach with Smile at his feet, watching the television with mild amusement.
I nodded absentmindedly, mind set towards the bathroom. Before closing the door, I could hear his voice but it wasn’t coming from the living room anymore.
“And Serenity? Be quick, I’m itching for a bath.” I peeked my head out of the room, sticking a tongue out to him.
“I’ll be sure to be agonizingly slow then.” Grumbling was heard and a soft, almost inaudible ‘tsk’ followed by some mumbles.
“You idiot, you don’t want to get your food cold.” He called out from the kitchen. I could faintly hear the sound of eggs being broken and placed on the pan.
I quickly slammed the door after that.
