Yerein observed her wounds she acquired from saving the child.Two weeks had passed but it were not even close from healing , her new wounds would be liked her past wounds too,it would also become a permanent scar
While reminiscing the grenade scene she couldn't help not to highlight the conversation she had with the captain
As what he said he didn't buy her any prayer garment but officer Nico gave her a new one
She wondered if how officer Nico knew about it,she was busy thinking when she heard footsteps
After a moment officer Maloy emerged in delivering her lunch.After officer Maloy left,officer Malina immediately went to her cell
She was eating when officer Malina entered her cell.
"Stand up" officer Malina spoke, acting like a commander-in-chief in the war zone.
Yerein looked at the officer and slowly put down her spoon,she was about to stand up when she talked again
"I said stand up" she pulled Yerein's arm forcing her to stand up
"Don't play your little girl trick with me" while saying this officer Malina was signalling one of her men to open the main gate of the cell.
"Where are you taking me?" Yerein panic voice penetrated to officer Malina's ears
"Just behave,it is the captain's order" Yerein just followed the girl until they reached the basement.
Yerein saw officer Jarannya sitting on one of the empty drums"did you tell her that it was his captain's order?" Officer Jarannya emphasized the word captain,to let her know who ordered this brutal punishment.
"We have a drum here with abundance of water inside,for every wrong answer we will dip down your head" officer Jarannya saw the horror in Yerein's eyes.
"Of course the whipping will not be absent from this show"officer Jarannya just continued her instruction
"You know that I have nothing to say" Yerein said while officer Malina starting to hold her head.
"Wrong answer"officer Jarannya signaled officer Malina to dip down her head.
She couldn't produce any answer because she didn't know the answer from the start.
The basement was near to the bridge where the soldiers passed by to breathe some fresh air.But instead of fresh air,they breathed the foul odor of an inhumane act of the two officers.
The basement had no roof.Everyone would pass on the bridge could witness what's happening inside.
The process was repeated many times,lasted for many hours,the whipping and dipping were followed by many slaps until the subject gave up and collapsed.
Some viewers pitied the terrorist,some had neutral feeling and some thought that she deserved it.
And the worst part when they brought her to infirmary they carried her like they were going to throw her away.
While officer Jarannya held both the two hands,officer Malina held the two feet, particularly the ankles.
Nurse Pam was dumbfounded to see the scene that took place in front of her,without saying anything she treated the broken woman with noting in her mind to tell officer Max.

"What?How did it happen? Is she sick?" Kamzan asked worriedly,he didn't understand why he was panicking like this. The last time they talked was when she requested a prayer garment and after that he left for two weeks seminar
"No,they change the punishment,for every wrong answer her head would be dipped down to the water inside the drum"
"Are you kidding me? Who changed the punishment?" They were talking while walking to the parking lot
"I don't know" Kamzan immediately ran the engine of his car and officer Nico tagged along with him.
And when they reached the camp Kamzan didn't waste any time and proceeded immediately to the infirmary.Upon opening the door he saw the broken doll lying on the bed without her headscarf,he looked at her as if it was only the two of them,as much as Kamzan wanted to devour the beautiful face in front of him,he knew that he couldn't do that,he needed to respect the girl,he needed to lower his gaze and from afar Malina and Jarannya were there standing nearer to the bed.
While checking the rugged doll from head to toe, his eyes finally noticed the bruised face of Yerein and he gave Malina his questioning look"what is this Malina?why it seems that the punishment is not only about drowning why is her face full of bruises too,why does she have a black eye?!"
Malina was shaking,she could tell and she could feel that he was angry,very angry"A I can explain"
"who gave you the permission to do this?"he asked angrily
"she she received an order from the highest de-"
"I am not talking to you!"Kamzan immediately cut off Jarannya's statement while giving her his burning eyes
"why are you being like this?she is just a criminal,a terrorist,she doesn't deserve your pity"Jarannya still spoke although her inside was trembling
"and she is a human too,let God cause her death"

"enough,I didn't tolerate this punishment,while I am on my travel what I said was I will call to schedule the interrogation"

"they have no right to do that!"Kamzan shouted again,Nico held the left shoulder of his buddy to calm him down
"Kamzan calm down,this will not be solved by argument all we can do is wait for her to wake up,I asked the doctor,she is fine now"
"Nico get her hijab in her cell,she will curse us when she wakes up without it,the two of you get out,and if possible stay away from this terrorist"
At that time Jarannya was certain that his captain's reaction was not normal anymore.The seeds of unsettlement was slowly growing in her heart now.Kamzan would always do everything to know the truth and if he would become an ally of Yerein her secret might be in danger.

For officer Nico Kamzan's reaction a while ago was out of hand,"you don't need to be brutal like that." Officer Nico interjected"I mean you are like a mighty sword if those looks and words you threw could kill,Jarannya and Malina's head would be on the floor already. Yes Kamzan your action could cut a head but I am not impressed, I am disappointed"
Officer Nico managed to calm down Kamzan.The scenario in the infirmary was a mess,Fragya's best friend was broken and now he didn't know how to explain it to Fragya.
Although they didn't settle yet their argument they needed to be together because this was part of their duty
"we have our own beast moment officer Nico,and I am not here to impress anyone" the fire in his heart was still burning,it was difficult for him to leave the infirmary but the visiting time was already over ,he had no choice but to leave her to Nurse Pam
"you are always a beast to Yerein,I told you to stop the punishment but you didn't listen, this is the reason why we reached this ugly stage"Nico was trying to enlighten his captain.Maybe if he would blame him he might give a second thought about Yerein
"I don't need your sermon,and honestly you and Max should stop hanging out with her best friend because you started to sound like a woman now"Kamzan immediately answered him. These past few days Nico had become a nagger. He always gave speech as if he was delivering a sermon inside the house of worship
"I don't care, at least I am not someone who chose to continue to be blinded by lies when he already knew the truth, does Yerein need to die first before you believe that she is innocent?huh Captain?" officer Nico asked,he abruptly stood up and left the sofa offered by Kamzan
The captain examined his buddy from head to toe. A while ago he was a priest and now he became a faithful lawyer.He was amazed by his changed of character
"I have no obligation to answer you"Kamzan spoke again while still standing nearer to his desk.He was standing since they arrived in his office
"I always admire you because you always fight for the truth even if you stand alone fighting for it,but what happens now captain?"
"This"Kamzan said while pointing to his badge on his chest"this thing couldn't be achieved by poetic move. In our line of work we need tangible proof,we can't just say we believe she is innocent because we feel it,no officer Nico,it doesn't work that way"the captain explained in a convincing manner
He glared at the man.A powerful glare that demanded to be understood and heard and he continued to talk while officer Nico remained silent because his captain's words were true"we don't work using our heart ,we work using our strength,our judgment needs to correlate to tangible facts,do you understand me? What you are saying is like a myth in the eyes of the law,unless you can fight those strong evidences against that woman don't recklessly put yourself on this burning lines"
To say that Kamzan was fuming was an understatement.He was beyond frustrated,he wanted to fight and believed that Yerein was innocent but he needed to be ready first.
He knew that once he stepped outside from the evidence the real enemies would be unveiled. For this reason he needed to be prepared to be capable of winning.
But Officer Nico was ruining the process,he was ruining Kamzan's pacing,Nico wanted to be in haste while Yerein case needed a step-by-step plan.
What officer Nico didn't get was that Yerein case was not a small case and not just an ordinary one. Kamzan couldn't easily back-out even if he wanted to because his move had been monitored by the higher authority or worse by their unknown enemy.
Being an ally of Yerein was not an easy task, it was like discovering the real evil and what Kamzan's afraid to know was that,the terrorist was one of his troops.
