"You need me to drop you off back home ?" I asked Janiya
"Nah I actually am suppose to stay with Ary tonight, but I mean you can so I can grab some more clothes and my keys because she drove us around today." She shrugged and I nodded
The car ride was silent as hell, and guilt immediately started to wash over me.
"What made you not want to get a abortion ?" I asked and she looked at me
"I mean not like that-
"Just shut up." She told me and I cleared my throat before looking ahead before we went into another silence
"My uncle told me to abort it, and I was going too until... he went on and on about how I was gonna be irresponsible, and how I was gonna be the only failure out the family, so I kept it. At the time I thought I was gonna have you and we would have something to prove, but as time went without you, proving loyalty towards my baby became more important." She explained and I nodded
"That's why I don't want you throwing me off Keshawn foreal... I'm focused, so if this isn't what you want let me know before I get used to having somebody around." She said and I nodded before looking at her
"Ima focus too Niya.. I know it's what my mama would've wanted and even though you being stubborn that's what you want too." I said and she rolled her eyes before crossing her arms
Loosing my ma woke me. At first I didn't understand why she reacted the way she did when I told her, but now I get it. She knew exactly how it felt to be looked over when having somebody's child that didn't want shit to do with you. She went through it, and even though my pod was still here for me physically, she was the only one here for me mentally.
I blame neither for anything. If it wasn't for my pod my ma wouldn't even be financially stable, that's one thing I can say about him, he genuinely took care of the ones he loved most.
"I just don't want you being here now if you're gonna get tired of me and then not be here when the baby is born."
"Janiya I know I was fucked up, but at the same time I'm not finna sit here and beg you to let me start taking responsibility. I admit to not doing that shit before and I'm sorry, but I'm trying." I said and she nodded
"So then I'll see you at the next doctors appointment right ?" She asked and I nodded causing her to raise a eyebrow
"Yea it sounds good." She mumbled before turning around and I chuckled.
Kash-
I took one last pull from my blunt before putting it out and sitting back.
After a minute Jr walked in and he started fanning the smoke before making a face
"I don't see how y'all smoke that shit." He chuckled and I laughed with him before getting up and pulling him into a hug
"You straight ?" I asked him before pulling back and he nodded
"I saw it coming, just not as soon." He said
"They've been calling me on funeral arrangements and I wanted to leave it up to you on what you wanted to do." I said and he nodded
"Doesn't she have a sister ? She should help." He said and I cleared my throat
"What?"
"Nothing, her sister had been passed away back when we lived in Atlanta, she had cancer also that shit ran through the family." I said and he raised his eyebrows
"Should I get tested ?" He asked and I shook my head
Amya does have a twin,she didn't die because of cancer or anything, but she died once she came on to us whenever she thought Amya was dead. I hardly remember what went down because It was so long ago.
"I think you'll be straight Jr, let's head out." I told him before grabbing my keys
"Where?" He asked before grabbing his phone
"Damn now we can't spend time together now?" I asked and he smacked his teeth
"See you make that shit sound weird." He chuckled before following me out.
I checked the time and it was going on to 10:00 so I had decided on calling Kay since she was usually back way before then
"Hey." She answered, she sound exhausted as fuck.
"Wassup ? What time you leaving work, you sound tired as hell." I asked and she lightly laughed
"Yeah I am.."
"But I'll be on the way back in about thirty minutes, I've been working really hard to help Jada, she looks like she's going crazy in there Kash.." She added
"Yeah well Jada lost her mind a long time ago." I said and she smacked her teeth causing me to bust out laughing
After a minute I her door open
"Here's some coffee, and then the other half of the files I copied."
I furrowed my eyebrows after I heard her thank him and before I could speak she interrupted me
"Coworker, he's Jada's lawyer for the case." She said and I cleared my throat
"Well ight, just be safe and text me when you hit home, I'm getting jr out the house." I told her
"Ok, I love you."
"I love you too."
I've never been a insecure type of nigga around Kay, but I've always been selfish with her. That's with anybody though, hell I'm selfish with her over my own damn children. Sounds weird, but I really just don't play about what's mine
After a minute we pulled up to my strip club and jr raised his eyebrows
"They not gon let me in this bitch." He chuckled
"They will."
"How? I'm definitely underage."
"I own it, they don't have a choice." I said and he furrowed his eyebrows at me.
Brian had got out the car not far from us before dapping us up and putting his arm around jr
"Maybe a little ass will cheer you up nephew." He said and I smacked my teeth
"Yeah a little, after tonight we need to sit down and talk about you and yo baby mama situation, I ain't forgot." I pointed and he shook his head
"I got it together." He said
"Yeah you better, but we still gon talk soon to make sure."
We walked towards the club and the bouncers nodded before we started walking in and the club was packed like always.
We were at the top so we could see the strippers on stage from we're we were and everyone below us dancing and drinking as rap music blasted
We started walking down the steps and over to the section before me and Brian had ordered a Tray of shots
He just turned nineteen, so of course I wasn't gon get my son fucked up especially when I wouldn't do the same from my daughters. But he deserved a few shots, he graduated school, taking off with boxing, got a seed on the way, and he lost the other half to him.
So I wanted him to enjoy himself without feeling locked down, sometimes you got my stove a grown man room to grow into a grown ass man..
Kay-
"Ight You need a break." Donnell said
"Don't tell me what I need." I told him while keeping my head focused on reading the papers and he sighed before coming over and closing the folder
"I will see you Tomorrow morning Kayonna, deadass you got bags up under yo eyes and everything you need rest." He said and j sighed before sitting back
I watched as he slid the folders in my desk before using my keys to lock it and he gave them back while looking at me and I looked away causing him to sigh
"I didn't wanna work with you just so you can flirt and do what you do best, I really need you with this one-
"Hm what do I do best ?" He asked before walking up on me and I sighed before looking away growing irritated
He lifted my chin with his finger before looking at me and he ran his thumb down my check before looking over his lips
"This shit is business, I have a-
Before I could finish he went in to kiss me and I immediately pulled back before pushing him up off of me and furrowing my eyebrows at him.
I went over to my desk before quickly grabbing my shit and he sighed before rubbing his head And coming over but I moved away from him
"Don't touch me.." I told him before backing up and walking out of the office.
At this point, I felt bad. I know I wasn't the one who did it but now I feel bad because If I want to help Jada out I have to keep him around. That just wasn't what I pictured and I was in shock.
I know if Kash found out he would lose his shit regardless on if it was my fault or not..
Liyah-
I went up for the shot and it went in before I rebounded and started dribbling again
"Aaliyah !" I heard and I turned around to see Ary with her head out the window
"Yo it's finna be 12:00 in the morning what the fuck..?" She asked and I smacked my teeth before continuing
"I'm deadass that shit is annoying."
"I'm almost done shut up." I told her and he smacked her teeth
"I don't know what the hell is going on with you but you need to figure it out yourself cause I don't even think you know."
I continued dribbling before going up again and she sighed loudly
"That so annoying.." She said before slamming her window shut and I shook my head before continuing.
After a minute I finally decided on going back inside and I took another shower and once I was coming out I noticed my Ma's door was slightly open.
I was gonna speak but I stopped once I heard her on the phone and I realized it was Ari on speaker
"I'm just paranoid, what if he did that shit on purpose so he can tell kash and split us up ?"
"Kay just calm down, even if kash found out he kissed you, did you kiss back ?" She asked
"No... I don't know Ari, I was just in shock I didn't expect that."
I raised my eyebrows before looking down and I heard her sigh
"I should tell him before he does, I don't want this coming up and back on me, he'll excuse my of cheating."
I stepped back before going back towards my room and I shut the door quietly
I don't know what fully happened, but all I know is that it was something that wasn't suppose to be happening..

(Wanted to explain this part to avoid confusion, this is skipped 1 month, and below is a flashback from a few weeks replaying the month..)
1 month later..
AaLiyah-
"Aaliyah."
"Aaliyah Brown." I heard again causing me to snap out my my thoughts
"To avoid being detaining ina a cell I need you to work with me and tell me everything that went down these past couple of weeks." The officer said and I looked at him.
A few weeks before....
"I'm sorry but I can't go with them." I told my daddy
"It's not your choice." He told us
"It'll be for a week, it's daddy's birthday and he deserves to have a good time at least. Ari and Brian aren't even bad, would you had rather to go down with my dad?" Kay asked and Ary quickly shook her head
"Ari and Brian is fine." She said and I ssquinres my eyes
"Why you say no so quick ?" I chuckled and she shrugged before looking away.
"Deadass behave, cause they can whoop y'all's ass respectfully." My daddy said and we both laughed before they pulled us into a hug
"Love y'all." They both told us
"We love you too."
We walked inside their house and Brian was on the couch playing the game and he wasn't paying attention foreal so we just walked into the guest room before putting our stuff down and we went up to Anna's room and she was doing her hair
"Girl where are you going?" I asked and she looked at us before lightly laughing
"Everybody's going to Main event tonight and this girl that I met, Sage wanted me to go with her."
"Sage ?" I asked and she smiled causing me to smile
"Ouuu you like herr." Ary teased and she smacked her teeth
"I don't know, this is my first time like going o it with a girl and I'm nervous, I feel like my daddy would flip." She said and I shook my head
"He wouldn't flip.. maybe he would be shocked but he wouldn't flip Anna." I told her and she nodded before continuing to get dressed
"Y'all should come, bring Shawn, Amari and Janiya." She said and Ary looked at me causing me to shrug and she shrugged before pulling out her phone
"So tell us about sage ?" Ary asked as she continued to text
"She's sweet, she's fem so she switched it up from time to time. We met and the mall not to long ago and every since then we've just been texting and FaceTiming
"Does she..." I trailed off and she tilted her head Before I did a motion and she raised her arm
"Mhmmm."she said causing our mouths to drop
"Well I wouldn't know personally but she says she straps." She shrugged and I raised my eyebrows
"Well I Support, and I'm glad you're stepping up to what you like." Ary told her and I nodded in agreement
"And they said that they're down." Ary said
"Bet, so what are you gonna tell your people when you do come out ?" I asked
"I don't know, I might just break it out randomly like I did when I told them I had sex." She said and we started couching
"Dont do that.." I told her
"Nah seriously." Ary said and she smacked her teeth

I looked at my fit before my phone had started to ring and it was Marcus.
"Where you at ?" He asked
"Damn nigga hey to you too." I chuckled
"My bad, wassup Aaliyah."
"Wassup, and I'm at Ari's getting ready to go to main event with a few friends." I said and he didn't say anything
"What?" I asked
"I'm across from yo crib." He said and I smacked my teeth
"Nigga they have cameras out there now pull off." I told him before he lightly laughed
"Why are you here though ?" I asked
"Shit, I just wanted to get away for a while, thought you was down but it's straight go enjoy yourself." He said and I smacked my teeth
"I was down, but you didn't say anything else about it." I mumbled before shutting the door
"You're not Liyah.." he said and I sighed Before Ary had came in the room
"Janiya's outside." She said before leaving again
"I'm gonna call you when we leave this thing." I told him
"Mhm.."
"I'm serious." I told him before hanging up.
I looked down before fiddling with my phone before quickly snapping out of my thoughts and grabbing my purse.

Ary-
It was packed as hell, everything was damn near full and it was very much crowded
"The fine niggas is outt." Amari cheeses and Shawn looked at him uncomfortably
"Oh baby not you." He said and Shawn smacked his teeth causing me to lightly laugh
"Ima go meet Jaylen, you straight ?" He asked and I nodded before he kissed my lips and walked away
Once I looked up I made eye contact with Justice and she mugged the hell out of me causing me to roll my eyes
"Every time." I mumbled and Janiya sighed
"Well don't let her continue to kill your mood every time." Janiya said and I shrugged before we walked in and we all just payed for a full pass and Janiya got one for Shawn so he could get to everything at the same time as us.
We were all talking and chilling with each other until Anna walked over with a girl that we guessed was Safe.
She was cute and she seemed coo once she introduced us all to her.
"You look familiar, you run track ?" She asked and I nodded before noticing her too.
She disqualified me out of the state track meet and pushed me from 3 to 4 by .3 seconds. She was good as hell, and she has the second fastest time in her district at the state meet
"Girl you're talented as hell." I told her
"So are you, We were neck and neck literally all season." She said and I lightly laughed with her
"Well ima go give this to Shawn I'll be back yall." Janiya said before walking off and I looked over at Liyah who was texting in her phone
"Wassup?" I asked her
"Nun.L" she said dryly before shutting it off and I stared at her before pulling her off to the side
"You've been acting so secretive lately..." I told her
"Like you were with me?" She asked and I rolled my eyes
"Yo what has been up with you deadass, you've been acting like angry.." I said
"Yeah cause I am." She mumbled before looking at me
"I've been going through a lot and I've seen a lot, I'm
Just tired of crying it out... there's no more tears left to cry." She said before walking back to the group and I looked down
She still hasn't talked about what went down with Kyree and daddy that night and I don't even think I want to know. Every since that night she's been fucked up, I haven't seen my sweet ass sister in a while...

"Fuckk."I laughed before moving again and I got hit again and I saw Shawn ass.
We were playing laser tag and it was me, Liyah, Anna, and Amari vs Jaylen, Shawn, Sage, and whoever else was on our team
Once the theee seconds went away I raised mine and shot his before walking sway and I heard him laughing
As I was walking I wasn't paying attention and some little kid ran into me before falling back hard as hell and I raised my eyebrows for bending down to help him.
In the process somebody shot mine and I smacked my teeth
"Y'all cold hearted." J chuckled before helping the boy up but he snatched away from me before flipping me off and shooting at me and my mouth dropped
"Oh Woww." I laughed before moving out the way
After a minute the lights had cut on signaling the game was over so we had all walked out to see the points and my team had lost tremendously
"Ary slow ass." Amari chuckled and I lightly smacked his head
Shawn was talking to Jaylen so I had slightly gripped his butt and he turned around before mugging me
"That shit is gay." He laughed and I smacked my teeth
"But It's not when you do it ?" I asked as we walked out
"That's different I can do that." He said before slightly gripping mine and I rolled my eyes before he put his arm around me and he looked down at me and I broke eye contact
"What ?" He chuckled
"You know what you be doing when you look at me like that." I said and he smacked his teeth
"That just be you over thinking shit." He laughed and I flipped him off before he cuffed his arm around my neck causing us now to be in a full hug.
His phone ring and he took it out before looking at it and putting it back in his pocket
"Wassup?" I asked
"Nothing serious." He told me and then it had started blowing up and I pulled back from him as he furrowed his eyebrows and pulled his phone back out
After a minute of him reading I got impatient and I snatched it out his hand causing him to smack his teeth
"See and then this shit again.." he sighed
"Nah it's nothing serious right ?" I asked before looking at it
"Unlock it." I told him
"Ary-
"Da'shawn unlock it." I told him again and he nodded before unlocking it
Once I went to his messages I looked at him before looking back at his phone and I cleared my throat

"I hate you." I told him and he stopped in his tracks and so did I
"You told me you blocked her, why are you still texting justice if you genuinely don't have nothing towards her?" I asked And he pulled me out the building but I snatched my arm from him Once we were out the building and I crossed my arms
"I was straight up with you and I told you I still cared about her from the get go. She had a lot going on and believe it or not I'm all she got-
"You're still in love with her." I mumbled
"I can't be when I'm in love with you." He told me and I rolled my eyes
"You told her you loved her, I saw it." I said and he sighed before we went into a silence
"I'm sorry-
"No I'm sorry, I shouldn't have went with us ending a good friendship for a confused relationship.." I said and he furrowed his eyebrows
"So what you saying ?" He asked
"I'm saying.. that maybe we were better off as just friends."
"We're not ending this shit over Justice Ary." He said
"You love justice, hopefully Justice loves you too." I told him before looking at him and backing up before opening the door and going back inside
I went back in and I found the group and they all looked at me
"What's wrong ?" Janiya asked
"Nothing." I said before shaking my head
Shawn had came back over and I sighed
"Let's go talk deadass." He said and I shook my head
"Can I just enjoy my night without you ?" I asked and he looked away
"Okay what did you do ?" Janiya asked Shawn and he waved her off
"So just like that you ending everything that we had over Justice, the bitch that's been trying to split us up since she found out about us ?" He asked and I didn't reply
"I'm real tired of this justice bitch." Liyah said
"Yeah well bitch I'm tired of you too." We heard and we turned around to see her
"Bruh don't start this shit on god." Aaliyah said and I shook my head
"You're foul." I told her
"I'm foul ? Girl I been tried to warn you, his ass ain't ever gon be done with me."
"And that's where the fuck you're wrong, I've been done with you and you making that shit seem like something it ain't." Shawn said and I sighed
"Yeah fuck you and yo bitch too." She said
"Bitch excuse you?" Liyah asked
"Leave it alone." I told her
"Her thirty ass need to leave you alone, I don't like how you been coming up on my sister for no reason." She said
"I really don't give a fuck." She said and she nodded before stepping off to the side
She picked up a cup and seconds later the drink inside it was now on justice
"Bitch." She mumbled before throwing the cup at her and walking away and I raised my eyebrows at Liyah before following hers
"You know what, I want my one, ain't nobody scared of you nor yo bitch ass sister." She said and Liyah turned around
"Aaliyah it's okay-
Before I could finish Liyah swung hard as fuck and everybody started screaming before crowds around us and recording
"Get her before she end up catching a charge." Janiya said before Liyah had swung her into one of the games in the arcade and she started dragging her out as she continued to hit her hard as hell in the face.
I went over to grab her but she didn't stop, she just continued to get on top of her as she continued going in, her ass had blacked out and finally Shawn pulled her off and she kicked her in the head twice causing it to hit the ground hard as hell and everybody gasped.
"Put me down on god Da'sahwn." She told him and she finally pushed him off her before turning towards him
"You're a bitch." She told him and he smacked his teeth
"It wasn't shit like that-
"Just Shut up Shawn." I told him and he tried to pull me away from the crowd but I moved
"Don't touch me I'm being so serious ." I told him before looking at him
"And I'm being so fucking serious I'm not playing with you." He told me before I felt his grip get slightly tighter and Liyah looked at him like he was crazy before she pulled me out his grip
"Aaliyah man if you don't move I-
"You gon what ? Cause if you put yo hands I. My sister I swear to god. I will kill you. I know where this shit goes I've been through it." She said before looking him in the eyes and they stared at each other
"Did you just threaten to kill him?" Justice asked
"Yes and anyone else that chooses to touch her is there another problem?" She asked before stepping over to her and she reached into her purse before pulling out her keys and I noticed mace on it.
"Justice I swear to god." I told her and Liyah nodded before digging in to her purse
"Nah she wanna play, try it justice." She told her before pulling out her taser and I sighed
Justice sprayed it, but not on Liyah, on me. My eyes immediately started burning and I started to panic as Janiya started to pull me over and Shawn shook his head before approaching Justice but before he could do anything Liyah approached her with the taser and she held it at her as everyone looked at Aliyah in shock
"Come on Ary it's okay." Janiya told me while trying to get me out and I Started quickly attempting to fan my eyes out.
"I'm not leaving my sister-
"Let's go, this shit is irritating your eyes Ary!" Janiya interrupted before pulling me away and as she did I heard security being called
Liyah-
Once I saw security approaching I quickly stopped before backing away and I started to walk out the building, I was beyond pissed as even more anger washed over me.
I pulled my phone out before sighing and after I thought about it I called Marcus back.
"Come get me."
