Amelia couldn't contain her excitement as she got ready to meet up with Dave at the lake.
He had told her to meet him at the lake after school. He had something to tell her and she was more than excited to hear what he had to say.
She has an idea of what he might say and the thought of it made her giddy.
For the first time ever, she was having difficulty in choosing an outfit.
Its just Dave, why was she even stressing herself anyway. He'll be okay with whatever outfit she choose to wear. Finally she decided on a green layered top and white skinny jeans. Then she applied a bit of cosmetic before walking out of her room.
Her parent weren't home yet and Andrew took Quinn out on a date. Seems there were together now.
As Amelia walked out of the house, she was shocked to see Francis leaning on his car. His eyes looked up when he noticed her presence.
"Hi lia" he greeted with a smile.
"Hi" she answered unsurely wondering what he was doing here. And why didn't he press on the door bell. "Drew isn't home yet" she informed guessing that he was probably here to see Andrew.
"I know" he said nervously "actually I came to see you. I was wondering if you would like to hang out"
Amelia noticed the hope in his tone but she couldn't hang out with him. Not today "I'm sorry Francis, I have plans already. Maybe next time"
"Oh" his tone was low and sad but Amelia choose not to dwell on it. She wouldn't ditch Dave for him. "Then let me give you a ride there"
"No its okay. I'll just take a cab" she quickly protest.
"No lia I insist. You don't have to take a cab when I can take you there myself"
Amelia didn't know if she wants him to come along. He is her friend now but there was still that feeling of distrust. She didn't trust him and she felt he is planning something.
But well, she couldn't refuse now. She won't waste time arguing with him and keeping Dave waiting.
"Alright" she agreed as she made her way to the passenger sit of his car.
Francis smiled and wasted no time in jumping into the driver sit. Maybe the plan would work after all.
"Where are we going?" He asked as he started the car.
"Just drive I'll point you the directions" actually, she had no idea where the lake was. She was only going to rely on her memory like she did the first time.
Francis nodded and pulled the car forward and unto the driveway. He was feeling both nervous and excited.
After today, Amelia might finally be his.

The narrow path to the lake wasn't fit enough for a car to go through so Amelia and Francis had to go the rest of the way on foot.
Amelia had insisted that Francis shouldn't come with her but he still didn't listen with the excuse that he wanted to make sure she got there safely so she had no choice but to let him.
The lake finally came into view and Amelia could already detect Dave's figure standing beside the water but she halt in her steps when she notice someone with him.
Although they were still far from each other, Amelia knew the other person is Erin. There was no way she could be mistaken; that is definitely Erin.
But what was Erin doing here.
Just as she took a step towards their direction, Erin kissed Dave and her steps halted along with her heart.
Tears filled her eyes as she quickly turn away from them.
"Lia are you okay?" Francis asked in concern. Amelia had totally forgotten that he was behind her.
She looked up at him with tears filled eyes. She couldn't be here watching them any longer. Her heart was already broken enough
"Get me out of here Francis"

Dave was nervous as he waited for lia. How was he going to start? What if Lia didn't feel the same about him. That would be the end of it all. His heart would be broken and it might ruin their friendship.
But he would take the risk and just hope that she return his feelings.
He suddenly heard footsteps approaching and he stood up quickly thinking it was lia only to come face to face with Erin.
"Erin, what are you doing here?" He asked with a hint of irritation. Why would she suddenly come here when she knew Amelia would be here any moment from now. He didn't want lia to misunderstand.
"Dave we need to talk" she pleaded and she sounded desperate which made him wonder what was so important that she had to come all the way here.
"You can't be with Amelia"
"What?" Why was she saying this "what the hell are you talking about Erin; why can't I be with Lia"
"Because I love you" she answered without even a bit of hesitation "I love you so much Dave. I've always been here but you never once look at me the way you look at Amelia. Please don't choose her Dave. Please give me a chance"
Dave was speechless. Never in a million years would he guess that Erin would confess to him. Maybe in the past he would have accepted because he had a giant crush on her then.
But now he has lia. He wouldn't dream of looking at any other girl the way he looks at lia. He had come to realize that he had long been feeling this way. He loves her even before she moved to Paris.
He looked at the teary eyes Erin standing in front of him and watching him with hope in her eyes. He hates to hurt her but Lia is the only girl for him.
She is everything he ever wanted in a girl. Even if she rejects him, he would still do everything for her to accept him.
"I'm sorry Erin. I had no idea that you felt this way about me but lia is the one I love and all that there is between us is friendship and nothing more"
"Dave please y-you don't know what you're saying. You're just confused. R-Remember I was the one you use to treat like a princess. You even told me that you liked me once remember"
"That was in the past. Amelia is the one I love now Erin"
She shook her head with tears flowing down her eyes. She didn't want to believe his words. He couldn't be in love with Amelia, it just wasn't possible.
"No" she snap "you love me Dave. You love me and no one else"
Before Dave could react, she was already charging towards him and planting her lips on his.
He was so shocked that for a moment he didn't realize what had just happen but when he regain his senses, he pushed her back quickly "what the hell Erin" he yelled angrily at her.
"Dave please...." She tried to move closer but he step back.
"Stop this Erin. If you really want us to remain friends then you better stop this now. I love Amelia and not you; get that through your head already"
He knew he sounded harsh but he was angry at what she just did. What if Amelia had seen them right now. What would she think?
Erin lowered her head hurt "I'm sorry" her voice was barely above a whisper and the sadness in it cause Dave's expression to soften "I'm sorry Dave I just didn't want to lose you forever"
"You won't lose me Erin" he assured softly "we're still friends"
"I know" she smiled sadly "I still can't believe that you still accepted me as your friend after everything I did to you. Now that I think about it, I don't even deserve your love"
Dave felt bad for her but he didn't want to say anything that would be raise her hopes so he just stood there waiting for her to pull herself together. For some reason, he didn't want to comfort her.
After a while, she brush off her tears and smiled "you should go to her. She probably misunderstand things already"
"What do you mean?" He asked stund. He knew she is talking about lia.
"This was all a plan Francis and I made up so you won't confess to Amelia. She was here a while ago but when she saw us kissing, she left"
Dave's eyes widen in alarm and it didn't take long before he began running away from Erin without even sparing her a glance.
Oh God he hoped she didn't misunderstand things.
And Francis that bastard!

Hey guys here's another update for you. And also I want to inform you guys that 'Almost lost' is out and if you haven't check it out please do. It would mean a lot to me.
'A brother's regret is slowly coming to an end' and I have other stories about bullying prepared after it which I would like to call the 'bullying series' I know it doesn't kind of make sense but that's the name I could come up with.
