*October 11th, 1982*
(Y/N)'s and Andy's anniversary party!
(Y/N)'s POV:
Today is mine and Andy's anniversary. Andy and I got up earlyish so we could enjoy breakfast together before going to work.
I made pancakes while Andy made some bacon. I made some coffee and Andy poured us some orange juice.
"It's hard to believe how fast time goes. I can't believe we got married 2 years ago today," Andy said.
"I know love. It's been the best time ever," I said smiling.
"At least we can have breakfast together today. But you get to spend time with your work husband," Andy said laughing.
"Hey Karen isn't my work husband, she's a work wife," I said chuckling.
"Fair point darling," Andy said smirking.
"Well you get to hang out with your brothers today so that's fun," I said putting my dishes in the sink.
"Yeah but spending my anniversary with my brothers isn't my idea of a romantic day," Andy said while taking a sip of orange juice.
"We have all day tomorrow to celebrate love," I told him giving him a quick hug.
"That's true," Andy said stealing a kiss.
I looked at the clock and I still had an hour before I had to be at the studio. I finished up the dishes and went upstairs to do one more look over my outfit. I decided to wear a blue blouse, black skirt and nice boots. I also grabbed a jacket cause it was a bit chilly.
"I think you look great darling for the promotional videos you need to film," Andy said to me looking at me in the mirror.
"Thanks love," I said turning around to say goodbye.
"You'll be home by?" Andy asked.
"Karen said we should be done by 4," I replied.
"Well I'm not supposed to be home till 5," Andy said sad.
"It's ok love. Have a good day," I said giving Andy another hug and stealing a few more kisses.
I headed to the studio by 10 since Karen and Herb were already in the car out front there waiting for me.
"Good morning sunshine!" Karen said happily, handing me a cup of coffee when I got into the car.
"Good morning KC!" I said as chipper as possible.
"So we have some ideas of what we want to film," Herb posed.
"Go ahead Herb," I told him.
"Well we want to film like mini TV ads so when your album is getting ready to be released, they play on TV and get people to want to buy them," Herb told me.
"Ok that sounds awesome Herb! How soon do we want to start filming?" I asked.
"Let's go ahead and do a few rehearsals before we start the actual filming," Karen suggested when we walked into the studio.
We went ahead and started making promotional content for my album.
Meanwhile.......
Andy's POV:
We arrived at 11 to the space for rehearsal where my brothers are going to be performing. I was lowkey not too thrilled me and (Y/N) were not able to spend our actually annivesary together. At least we got tomorrow to celebrate. I forgot to mention for our anniversary I got her a locket necklace that is engraved with "Our Everlasting Love 10.11.80) and my favorite picture of us inside.
Barry was wanting me to guest spot at their charity concert so he had me sing along with some of their songs, including Wildflower off of Living Eyes.
"I think we can harmonize together with Robin on these parts of the song," Barry told me as he pointed to sections of the song on a paper. It was one of their newer songs that I had not memorized yet.
"I was thinking Mo and Andy could shred on guitar for sections of the song," Robin suggested.
"That's a good idea," Barry replied.
Something just felt off in this rehearsal. Usually, we are all go for broke when it comes to singing or practcing. Today, the energy was off.
By 3, their instruments were beginning to be packed up.
"Wait hold up what? Why are they packing the instruments up?" I asked Barry.
"Well they are actually canceling the concert. Not enough people bought tickets," Barry said sad.
"Huh?" I said.
I turned around to ask Maurice something when Robin trips and spills soda all over my shirt.
"Dude what the heck?!" I said angrily.
"Ooopsie sorry Andy. I got an extra shirt somewhere you can have," Robin said going to a luggage case.
I was getting fustrated and confused as to what was going on.
"Why don't we go get an early dinner?" Barry suggested.
"Sure I guess," I said irritated as I finished buttoning up my new shirt.
"It's only 4:30 but I'm starving," Mo remarked as we headed to the car.
Back to (Y/N).......
(Y/N)'s POV:
It was now roughly 4:30ish. I was annoyed because most of what we filmed, I felt looked ridcilous.
"Why don't we stop for today and go get some grub?" Karen suggested.
"I guess that would be fine," I told her smiling.
"It'll be on me," Herb said.
"Oh you don't have to," I started off.
"No it will be (Y/N) cause we took you away from Andy today," Herb said apolgetically.
"That's sweet of you Herb," I said .
We headed out. Karen picked the spot. It was some Greek restruant next door to Hillstreet. I was worried we wouldn't find any parking because me and Andy couldn't even get a reservation spot for this evening after work.
"I hope you like Greek food!" Karen said as she happily drove.
"I'm not even sure I've had it before," I said laughing.
"Well you'll have only begun to like it," Herb said laughing.
Despite not being with Andy, today wasn't as bad as I t hought it would be.
We soon arrived and saw that it was packed. I also noticed familiar faces getting out of the car in front of us. I jumped out of the car fast. Karen was hot on my trail.
"Andy?" I asked loudly.
Andy's head turned so fast.
"What, what are you doing here?" Andy said surprised.
"Karen said there was a greek restaruant next door to Hilstreet but I see there isn't," I said laughing.
"Barry? Karen?" I asked them.
"Just walk together and follow us," Barry told us.
We walked to the doors of Hillstreet where we all heard "surprise!"
"Gotcha! Happy Anniversary," Karen said smiling.
"You got us so well," Andy said smiling.
"We had to lie to you," Maurice said.
"You guys are the best," I said to them.
We walked in and everyone we love was there, including Barbara and Hugh.
"Happy Anniversary baby," Andy whispered to me.
We enjoyed our anniversary party with the people we love so dearly.
