BMHS : Chapter 47.1

Afterwards, Yan Sui was awfully quiet in the car. He was wondering what caused the He family's Old Madame to want him to come over.

In any case, it should not be the case that after an episode of illness, she managed to come around and was willing to forgive He Wan, then along with that, accept him as well?

A sarcastic expression flashed in Yan Sui's eyes, and before he could even think much of anything else, his mouth was stuffed with a peeled sugar roasted chestnut.

"It's sweet and sticky. Very delicious."

As Meng Ting spoke, he once again immersed himself in continuing to peel the chestnuts. He was very slow with his movements and he had a very focused look on his face. It was as if it was only like this that he could peel the chestnuts successfully. As a matter of fact, this was actually the case. His everyday physical operational skills were indeed very lacking; even peeling chestnuts was not an exception.

Yan Sui chewed it. What Meng Ting said was not wrong. It was indeed very sweet and very sticky, just like Meng Ting, himself, whom he had tasted before.

He took the paper bag of sugar roasted chestnuts from Meng Ting's embrace. Using the speed that was three or four times quicker than Meng Ting's, he peeled a chestnut then also fed it to Meng Ting.

"I'll peel it." Yan Sui saw that Meng Ting stopped and was chewing his food. He lowered his head slightly and kissed the sweet-tasting lips while saying this.

Meng Ting could not help but cast a glance toward the front seat from the corner of his eyes. Unfortunately, Yan Sui leaned too close to him and he could not cast a glance at anyone else but him.

"Then I'll finish peeling this off." He said as he slightly moved forward and kissed Yan Sui on the lips in the same manner. When he looked up, amorous feelings overflowed from his picturesque features which instantly mesmerized the other person's eyes.

Yan Sui was good at restraint and it was only because of this that he could endure the urge to press down the boy and kiss him.

Meng Ting finished peeling the chestnut in his hands and as before, fed it to Yan Sui. After that, he got another one and continued to peel it slowly and seriously. At the same time, he was also fed a lot by Yan Sui.

The big bag of sugar roasted chestnuts went down by half. Yan Sui took a look out of the window, then rolled up the opening of the bag, and placed it into the cabinet in the car. "Keep it and eat it at night."

"Okay." Meng Ting answered. He was already satisfied. He was only able to eat this many at once because Yan Sui peeled it for him; otherwise, it would take a long time by himself before he could even eat one. This was especially a good feeling. It was even better because Yan Sui peeled them for him.

Yan Sui took out wet wipes from the cabinet and wiped his own hands. After that, he grabbed Meng Ting's hands to wipe them clean, then he raised Meng Ting's chin, and wiped his lips.

Meng Ting blinked as he watched. He had already gotten used to the meticulous way Yan Sui took care of him. At the same time, he also memorized these caring actions in his heart. He likes Yan Sui. He liked him more and more each day.

Zhao Bing, who was in the front seat driving the car, had also adapted to Yan Sui and Meng Ting's unrestrained public show of affection. Actually, it could not be called a 'show' because as long as these two stayed together, even without talking, the atmosphere was always warm and sweet. This was quite naturally revealed and it was already envied by many people.

The car stopped in front of the Hes' old residence. Yan Sui got out from the car first, then led Meng Ting out. A man wearing a suit and leather shoes walked out from the iron gate. He was called He Zhen. He was two years younger than He Yue and two years older than He Wan. He was forty-five years old this year. Although he was halfway through his forties, he looked quite young.

He looked at Yan Sui and a smile appeared on his face. There was not a single trace of him regarding Yan Sui as an outsider. "Come in, Yan Sui. Is this Ting Ting?"

"Second Uncle." Yan Sui called him. He then turned his head and whispered a few words to Meng Ting.

Meng Ting also followed him and called, "Second Uncle."

After hearing what was said, He Zhen's expression slightly froze. It seemed that there was hesitation regarding the 'Second,' but he could not retort with anything. Even during the years when He Yue was lost, he was still the second young master of the house and this was something that never changed. These years were also the same.

"My mother wants to see you. Follow me."

Yan Sui nodded and led Meng Ting along to keep pace with him. The relationship between the two families had been cold all these years. Yan Sui and He Zhen had different positions in the family hierarchy and there were not many interactions between the two as well. Naturally, there were not really any related topics that they could talk about.

Today was the sixty-seventh birthday of the He family's old madame and there was quite a lot of people who went back and forth, sending gifts and joining in the banquet. As they walked by, naturally, there were people who recognized Yan Sui and Meng Ting. After saying their greetings, a lot of them turned their heads and muttered privately.

He Zhen did not take Yan Sui and Meng Ting to the banquet hall for the guests; instead, they detoured the hall and went to a small courtyard behind the master's residence. This was where the old madame and old master had been living in these years. They actually had the same habit as Old Master Meng who had particular requirements for tranquility.

They went into a teahouse. After He Zhen asked the servants to serve the tea for Yan Sui and Meng Ting, he left first, then soon after that, he helped Old Madame He to come in.

She was a sixty-seven-year-old woman. Naturally, one could not ask for her to continue to maintain the youthful beauty she had when she was young. The ruthlessness of time makes exceptions for no one, yet there were still some things that could not be erased by time.

Old Madame Su of the Sus was elegant, but Old Madame He was truly gentle. She used 'Wan' [1] for the name of her daughter and it was also the hope they had for He Wan. However, He Wan's conduct and deeds so far had completely deviated from this 'Wan,' and to say that it was irony would not be too much.

([1] "婉" = Wan = graceful)

She looked at Yan Sui and in an instant, tears swirled in her eyes. He Zhen consoled her as she sat down and they could even see that her hands were trembling non stop.

"Mom, you just recovered from your illness. Don't be so worked up."

He Zhen said as he glanced at Yan Sui and Meng Ting. "Hasn't Yan Sui come to see you?"

He said this as if it was Yan Sui who refused to have contact with them for all these years, when in truth, it was the complete opposite.

Old Madame He slowly took a few breaths and it was only through this that she had gradually calmed down. She waved her hand. "Go out first. I'll...talk with Yan Sui for a while."

The look on He Zhen's face slightly froze and it also carried with it a bit of hesitation, then he lifted his feet to walk out of the teahouse.

"Grandmother." Yan Sui addressed her. He could even address He Wan as mother so naturally, he was unhindered with these people. These terms of address did not mean anything. It was not only him who knew this. He Wan and the old lady before his eyes should be clear about it in their minds as well.

"Grandmother." Meng Ting also followed after him to address her. His gaze did not roam much to look at the inside of the room. He looked at Old Madame He when he addressed her. Once he finished addressing her, he lowered his eyes to look at his and Yan Sui's intertwined hands.

He could sense that Yan Sui did not look forward to meeting the old lady who was right before them.

"Hey," Old Madame He responded and her mood slightly fluctuated again. She swept her gaze all around, then looked at the servant inside the teahouse. "Close the windows and go out, too."

"Yes." The servant answered and did as requested.

What did Old Madame He want to say? He Zhen was not allowed to listen. The servant was not allowed to listen. She was even afraid that people would eavesdrop.

"Why did you want to see me?"

Yan Sui was the first to open his mouth when the servant closed the door. Before he met Meng Ting, Yan Sui was becoming more and more indifferent. The only two elderly seniors he gave exception to had already passed away. Yan Sui did not think that there was any need for him to perform any filial piety or any show of mutual forgiveness. It was like this before and now, it was still like this.

He thought the person before his eyes also would not want it either. Although she was worked up and sad, it was not because of him. He could see this with a single glance. Pretense was always different from genuine revelation.

Maybe his ability to make discerning judgements was related to the fact that he was becoming more and more indifferent. Up until now, Meng Ting was the only exception.

It really could not be said that Old Madame He had a smooth life. She got married at the age of nineteen and gave birth at the age of twenty. However, her child was only one year old when she lost him. The pain of losing her son followed her for more than twenty years, and it was with great difficulty that she was able to recognize her son and have him back. Then, her son and daughter fell in love with the same person at the same time.

One was her son for whom she had guilt in her heart; the other one was her daughter whom she had pampered from a young age. It was not right for her to help either one of them. The development was outside of her expectations. Her son died while the daughter gave birth out of wedlock. The mother and son were separated by death while the mother and daughter severed all of their ties...

Originally, she thought that her tragedy would last until she completely died, but not long ago, she discovered a turn for the better.

"Yan Sui, your eldest uncle maybe...no, it's not maybe. He's still alive."

She said as the tears that had not yet fallen and held in her eyes finally rolled down. Yan Sui and Meng Ting were seated opposite her; otherwise, she would want to grab his hands to let him understand her inexpressible excitement.

The dead man was still alive. What a huge consolation this was for people who had grown white hair.

However, no emotions appeared on Yan Sui's face. There was neither surprise nor understanding, as if he did not the least bit know about He Yue and his relationship with his biological father, Yan Yu.

"How did you find out about it?" Yan Sui asked this question calmly as before. He was not the least bit affected by Old Madame He's mood.

"He came back. Not long ago, he came back to offer incense for his adoptive parents."

Old Madame He was really sick before and she also underwent an internal emotional toil for many long years. Quite a lot of people thought that perhaps, her deadline was coming. Even she, herself, thought that as well.

When her sickness got slightly better, she asked her chauffeur to take her to have a look everywhere. Prompted by a sudden impulse, she went to He Yue's foster parents' house, but she could not enter without a key. Then, she made a detour and went to their graves. This was when she heard as the guard who led her mentioned that a few days ago, there was someone who came to see them as well.

"It's a man with bad legs and there was a person who carried him to get here." This, therefore, left a deep impression on the guard in-charge.

The moment Old Madame He heard it clearly, she immediately lost consciousness for more than half an hour. Once she woke up, her mental condition had changed.

She then carefully asked the guard. Although what he said was still a bit vague, in her subconscious, she was already certain that the one with bad legs was He Yue. Her eldest son, He Yue, who was once lost, recognized back, and then once again left and 'died.'

"Yan Sui, I'm begging you, please help me look for him. Please help me make sure of it." Old Madame He held her tears and looked at Yan Sui pleadingly, then her line of sight shifted to Meng Ting. "Ting Ting, please have Yan Sui help me. I'm begging you."

"But...why Yan Sui?

That was right. Why Yan Sui? Old Madame He has a husband and family and the Hes were not lacking either. Why was she keeping it from everyone and asking Yan Sui to investigate it? What were her misgivings? Or was it that she thought that his Yan Sui did not know anything and wanted to take advantage of him like this?

Meng Ting directly asked what he thought was the most astonishing thing. He once said that he did not have any sense of sympathy and it seemed to be true after all. An elderly person, who was of such age, was crying and begging pitifully, yet he did not answer and even asked her why it had to be them.

However, Meng Ting thought that he should ask. Even if Yan Sui did not ask, he still needed to ask.

Previously, Yan Sui did not know about the relationship between He Yue and Yan Yu, but Old Madame He had known it all along. Yan Sui's awkward situation had not changed whatsoever. If he was about to investigate, that meant that he had to face He Yue, face Yan Yu, then firstly face their hate and anger.

These things for Yan Sui never made sense, but apparently, it had to be him who should bear the wrath.

Old Madame He remained silent for a moment, but she was determined that Yan Sui was willing to help her. "I've never begged you before. Yan Sui, please help me investigate it. Please help Grandma bring him back. I'm his mother and this is his home."

"There are many people who have never begged Yan Sui..." Meng Ting muttered. They sat closely. He lowered the volume of his voice, but it was still enough for Old Madame He and Yan Sui to hear him. Old Madame He had Yan Sui took Meng Ting along when he came over, but this had definitely deviated completely from the desired result that she expected.

Although Meng Ting was a new 'son-in-law' joining his husband's household, he was neither hot nor cold toward He Wan, and in the same way, he did not feel that it was necessary to please Old Madame He. He was married with Yan Sui; naturally, he would be good to Yan Sui. These people were not good to Yan Sui at all and not in the least bit did he feel that it was necessary to have them like him.

Yan Sui tightened his hand as he held on Meng Ting's hand. Meng Ting glanced at Yan Sui and did not say anything else.

"The Yans don't owe the Hes. Maybe He Wan owes someone, but I don't." The look on Yan Sui's face stayed the same, as if he did not have any change in countenance. Old Madame He felt pitiful, whereas Yan Sui and Meng Ting, who was on his side, never had the care of fate.

They were all alone when they went through the darkest time of their lives, until they met each other. And so, he loved Meng Ting dearly and Meng Ting loved him dearly as well.

"What made you think that I can get him back?" The irony in Yan Sui's eyes was no longer concealed and his voice was low again. "If it were me, I wouldn't want to return."

Old Madame He thought that her inaction at that time was all right to be fair with everyone, but it was her inaction that indulged He Wan. "You should've dragged He Wan to get an abortion back then and not let her give birth to me."

When Yan Sui mentioned He Wan's name, he used the same tone as when he called her 'Mother.' It felt a bit amiss. She could detect his loneliness and complete indifference toward his own mother.

He was now mocking his grandmother's decision back then, thinking that she should have taken his mother to get an abortion. Since he was born, he had denied his own existence.

"I'm alive. It's proof that you all have betrayed He Yue, so he won't come home."

What's the point of her as He Yue's mother? This was his home. What's the use of it? Betrayal is betrayal and a mistake is a mistake. Everything had happened and the 'mistake' had grown up to become an adult and got married. It was already too late if she wanted to make up for it now.

Yan Sui was so sharp and so heartless. This was clearly beyond Old Madame He's expectations. She looked at him in a daze, as if she wanted to figure out something from the expression in Yan Sui's eyes.

However, there was nothing. She could not see anything no matter what.

Yan Sui's temperament was unlike He Wan's, unlike Yan Yu's, and even much like her two old friends...but it was also useless to analyze whom he resembled. This was the Yan Sui whom she had to face now—calm, rational, and almost ruthless.

"You didn't call on He Zhen...oh, it appears that you're not too muddled." Yan Sui did not say much hereon. The Yans did not educate their children well and the Hes did the same. As for He Yue, they were not the ones who educated him. He Zhen and He Wan were clearly failures.

The pleading look on Old Madame He's face gradually faded and the symptoms of her excitement, which she felt earlier until she nearly lost her consciousness, also vanished. She glanced over with a hint of gloom.

"You must live on, so that you'd know...what the end would be," Yan Sui said as he led Meng Ting to stand up. He nodded gently to Old Madame He, pulled Meng Ting by his waist, and went out of the teahouse. They did not bother to go to the living room. They went out of the iron gate, then went directly to their car and left.

"Yan Sui, there was someone else in the room just now. I could smell the scent of cigarette."

Although there was tea fragrance covering it up, Meng Ting could still smell the scent of smoke, which he did not like.

"That must be Grandfather." There was no surprise in Yan Sui's eyes and the wondering look in his eyes disappeared. He turned to the side and took Meng Ting into his arms. Meng Ting's intention to defend him made his heart feel very warm. Although he was in the place that he liked the least, he still felt warm.

Meng Ting did not know what to say. He hugged Yan Sui back and caressed his back.

"Grandmother knows it, but Grandfather may not know it." Yan Sui's last sentence was a warning to her. He was not a bargaining chip in He Wan's hands and he would not be hers.

If he did not go and look for Yan Yu, then it was natural that he would not go and look for He Yue as well. The Hes already lost their son a long time ago and the people in the Yans' family, who really wanted them to come back, had already passed away. Apparently, for Yan Sui, it was already enough for him to be assured that they were alive and well.

"A bad leg..."

Yan Yu was robust, so the one with the bad leg was He Yue. Yan Yu's frequent appearance in F Country must be related to this matter.

The sky was completely dark when they returned to the Yans' residence. After Yan Sui and Meng Ting had dinner and took a walk, they went to the study as usual. Yan Sui read his documents while Meng Ting worked on his exam papers. However, Meng Ting was obviously somewhat absent-minded tonight.

He worked on his exam papers for a little while, then he took a look at Yan Sui. After he finished working on his exam papers with great difficulty, he took out the roasted chestnuts with brown sugar and began to peel them. He peeled around twenty chestnuts and placed them beside Yan Sui.

"Eat these."

Yan Sui looked at the exceptionally cleanly peeled chestnuts on the plate, which was placed on the table, then he looked at Meng Ting's fingers, which had become sticky from peeling the chestnuts.

Meng Ting thought that Yan Sui was looking at his hands because he wanted to be fed by him. He immediately picked a chestnut up and reached out for his mouth. In Meng Ting's opinion, when he was not in a good mood, eating tasty treats would make him feel better. He was not sure if Yan Sui would be like that, but he wished his mood could get better.

Yan Sui lowered his head and bit it. Each time he finished eating a chestnut, Meng Ting would immediately feed him again. Only after Yan Sui had eaten all of the peeled chestnuts did Meng Ting feel pleased and nodded.

Meng Ting turned to his side seemingly wanting to peel the remaining chestnuts, thus making Yan Sui seize his waist.

"Let's rest a little bit earlier today and eat the remaining chestnuts tomorrow."

"Okay," Meng Ting answered, yet he inwardly sighed. His Yan Sui already ate chestnuts and was still not in a good mood. His mood was so bad that he wanted to sleep to recover. Meng Ting pondered once again and added, "I'll accompany you."

Yan Sui really liked Meng Ting's earnestness; especially when he used it on him.

Once they returned to their room, Yan Sui immediately took Meng Ting to the bathroom. Meng Ting looked at his own hands and he also thought that he had to go to the bathroom first.

"You're awesome. You can peel the chestnuts without staining your fingernails. I can't do it." Meng Ting looked at his own dirty fingernails. He looked amazed and ashamed. However, he was quite happy that he could use his own hands to peel chestnuts for Yan Sui to eat.

Yan Sui pulled a towel out and used it to wipe Meng Ting's hands dry, then he took a step forward and embraced the boy. "It doesn't matter. The chestnuts you peel are sweeter than mine."

Meng Ting looked at Yan Sui. He looked slightly unconvinced. It appears he did not intentionally pick the ones that were especially fragrant, because those that did not smell especially fragrant also tasted sweet and sticky.

Yan Sui grasped Meng Ting by the nape and kissed him. He protected the back of Meng Ting's head and pressed the boy against the wall of the bathroom and continued to kiss him.

Meng Ting took a moment to respond to Yan Sui's kiss. He was now someone who no longer needed to adjust his breathing and panting after kissing for a moment, most probably because he was being trained well.

The deeper the kiss was between the two, the lesser the clothing they had on.

The light in the bathroom was bright enough for Yan Sui to see the boy in front of him clearly—the slightly curly hair, the picturesque features, the redness on the cheeks, and the rosy lips kissed by him.

Not just his face good-looking. Meng Ting was constantly running in the morning, and he recently learned swimming and fencing. He had long limbs, well-proportioned muscles, and his skin was already fair. With better nourishment these days, it felt smooth as jade when touched. His Meng Ting was still growing and would only become more and more good-looking.

"Are you tired? How about if...you let me do it?"

Meng Ting lifted his long eyelashes and his dark brown eyes bloomed like a gem. Yan Sui's heart suddenly skipped another beat. He took the chance to draw near. His voice was a little bit hoarse because he was restraining himself again. He moved closer to Meng Ting's ear and whispered with a voice like stringed music, which stirred the lake in the heart of the boy who heard it.

"Whether I'm tired or not, you really don't know?"

Meng Ting's heart jumped because of Yan Sui's voice and because of his quick speed in getting close to him. His mind, which was not very clear, became a little bit chaotic immediately afterwards.

Yan Sui did not have the time to wait for him to understand what he said clearly. He kissed Meng Ting on his earlobe and took the boy under the shower nozzle. The sound of water, which was gradually rising, was accompanied by Meng Ting's crooning, Yan Sui's shallow gasping for breath, and the irrepressible sound of physical collision.

In almost a month's time, Meng Ting's body gradually adapted to Yan Sui. The fit of their bodies and the closeness of their souls were probably the most harmonious things in a married couple's life.

The water falling on Meng Ting's disheveled hair was not too heavy, but it sprayed in his eyes. He leaned against the wall with one hand, and grabbed Yan Sui's hand, which was touching his lower abdomen. His body only exuded a little redness, but it still became even more sensitive.

Whether it was the falling water or Yan Sui's lips which were still on his back, it all felt very distinct, let alone a certain part, which was even more sensitive.

"Yan Sui...I got it..." He knew that Yan Sui would not get tired so easily.

However, it seemed that it was already too late for him to realize the implication of these words at this moment. Both of his legs were floating and he seemed to be unable to stand.

"Then let go of your hand first," Meng Ting said as he tried to pull Yan Sui's hand, which was doing something naughty in front of him. However, he did not pull it away. He did not even dare to put forth his strength.

"Be good. It'll be fine in a moment."

Yan Sui bit the tender flesh of Meng Ting's nape, leaving shallow teeth marks, then he licked it gently.

However, the words of men are not very credible, especially for men who do this kind of thing. Yan Sui's "in a moment" and what Meng Ting thought were obviously not the same.

After a long time, Yan Sui embraced Meng Ting with both hands, and the two reached the peak of happiness at the same time.

However, the night was still young and Yan Sui, who came back to the room early, was still not satisfied. He took Meng Ting to the bathtub, where they made love again. After that, he conveniently gave the both of them a bath; thus, saving his time, instead of taking the boy back and forth. This also saved their time for taking a bath on their own.

Meng Ting laid down on the bed naked and pulled the quilt all the way up to his neck, then he looked at Yan Sui who was still busy applying medicine for him, massaging his legs, and kissing him.

"Isn't it that I'm a bit useless..." Obviously, his physical strength was also pretty good, but in the end, it was Yan Sui who had to get busy for him before and after.

Yan Sui looked at Meng Ting when he heard this. He continued to massage his legs, then he lowered his head to Meng Ting's leg and kissed it.

"You're useful."

Their standpoints were basically different and whether Meng Ting was useful or not was out of the question. However, Yan Sui could ensure that Meng Ting was useful. He was so 'useful' that Meng Ting could make Yan Sui unable to stop himself.

Yan Sui voluntarily wrapped a bath towel around himself and the exposed parts of his body also had marks left by Meng Ting. Meng Ting looked at those parts, then he blushed again, but he was not as shy as before. He felt that Yan Sui was so good-looking. He was so good-looking that he made Meng Ting blush.

"You're so good-looking."

Not only did he think about it, but he also told Yan Sui about it directly.

Yan Sui tucked Meng Ting's legs back into the quilt. He felt that his desire, which had been soothed a moment ago, had the tendency to be aroused once again.

"I like you. I like you more every day."

Meng Ting raised his legs, then he went to wrap them around Yan Sui's body, and then he also lifted the blanket. He looked at Yan Sui and said anxiously, "Hurry up and lie down with me."

Yan Sui's Adam's apple rolled up and down. "Okay."

When Yan Sui laid in the quilt, Meng Ting calmly rested his head on Yan Sui's neck and rested his left leg on Yan Sui's thigh.

Meng Teng really liked this kind of body contact. Once in a while, when Yan Sui wore trousers to sleep, Meng Ting would unconsciously rub and rub and rub his feet. This caused his trouser legs to eventually inch higher and higher; even more so for his clothes.

Yan Sui similarly did not reject such contacts. After he discovered Meng Ting's preference, he consciously let the both of them sleep naked.

The warm boy he held in his arms and the feeling of stability were fascinating. He felt like this and he thought Meng Ting felt the same.

After a good night's sleep, the two embraced each other until daybreak. Meng Ting recovered quickly and on the next day, he ran as usual. Yan Sui accompanied him and Rhubarb also followed them from behind.

An hour later, the two came back, went upstairs to take a bath, and changed their clothes. When they went downstairs, Nanny Wang brought servants to prepare the table as soon as possible. Both Chinese and Western dishes were served and the servings were even quite sufficient. Meng Ting alone could eat and fill himself to the point of bursting and it would be unlikely for them to have insufficient food to eat.

Meng Ting poured Yan Sui a glass of milk and placed it on his right-hand side. After that, he said, "You work very hard every day. You should drink milk, too."

While Yan Sui was not a picky eater, it doesnt hold true when it comes to dairy products. Before he was eighteen years old, he drank two glasses of milk every day without leaving a single drop. However, after confirming that his height was almost to the limit, he stopped drinking.

Meng Ting heard Nanny Wang reminisce about this once and so he kept it in his mind.

Although his Yan Sui does not need to grow taller, milk's nutritional value is still quite high. Yan Sui worked so hard every day. He certainly must eat well and only then could he perform well. Of course, if Yan Sui treats milk as Meng Ting treats western medicine, Meng Ting would never force him.

Yan Sui picked the glass of milk up and not the least bit of delight nor dismay was written on his face. After that, he took a sip, then drank it all.

Meng Ting looked at Yan Sui as he took the table napkin to wipe his mouth. He moved closer to Yan Sui's ear and whispered, "You're obedient."

Yan Sui immediately revealed a hint of a smile in his eyes. Yan Sui held Meng Ting's hand before Meng Ting could even withdraw it from his mouth and pecked it.

Meng Ting slowly withdrew his hand, then immersed himself in eating. After a while, his cheeks gradually turned red. This suddenly-long-suddenly-short response [1] was so cute.

([1] The author originally wrote 反射弧 which means reflex arc in biology. I think the author is pertaining to Meng Ting's reaction to what Yan Sui did and it's not really pertaining to the actual reflex arc which is a neural structure that performs reflex activities in the body.)

Yan Sui put his bowl down. He somewhat had the urge to take the boy with him to the company every morning. Right now, Meng Ting still stayed at home and would go back to school one month later. Maybe he should go to this school to snatch the boy away.

While Meng Ting was eating the half-bowl of porridge, the sound of high heels stepping on the marble floor came in the direction of the drawing room's door. Yan Sui sat still and did not stand up. Meng Ting glanced at Yan Sui, who still immersed himself in eating his porridge. He did not even look at the door.

Yan Manjia moved to the Yans' seaside villa the next day after they left the country for their honeymoon. She would come back for dinner every Saturday night. Otherwise, it was unlikely for her to come over. Even if she comes over, she would notify Uncle Xiao and Nanny Wang in advance. Zhen Han returned to his pet clinic ahead of her and besides, he would not wear high-heeled shoes.

In that case, to come over on a Monday, wearing high-heeled shoes—the only one who would tread on the floor with an imposing manner was none other than Yan Sui's mother—He Wan.

Meng Ting could guess who came here in such a short time, let alone Yan Sui. Not only did he know it was He Wan, he also knew why she came and why she was angry.

He Wan was wearing a light cyan cheong sam and was carrying a white handbag. Her hair was tied up and her makeup was exquisite and decent, which clearly manifested the "gentle" temperament she desired. However, none of this gentle facade was left when she threw her handbag to the large bowl of porridge on the dining table.

This was probably how women of prominent families would behave, but countryside girls would not do such a thing because they could not bear to waste food.

"Yan Sui, you're a really good person. You took him to go to my mother and angered her until she got sick!"

He Wan was trembling with anger. She pointed her thick forefinger at Yan Sui. She had little strength; otherwise, she would have probably hit the person with her handbag. Of course, she did not dare to hit Yan Sui. Since it was coming over from that direction, she obviously wanted to hit Meng Ting.

Meng Ting looked at the porridge, which was mostly covered by the handbag, with the bottom layer of the bowl untouched. He was too angry for the pork porridge, which he did not even have the time to ladle out.

"Mom!" Meng Ting grabbed Yan Sui's hand, then he raised his eyes to look at He Wan. His complexion and gaze were all cold.

"I'm not your mother!" Every time He Wan heard Meng Ting call her mother, she had to hold her pent-up anger back and should not show her anger no matter what.

"Oh, if you say so. It's great not to have to call you mother," Meng Ting voiced out the big truth in his heart, but he also deliberately wanted to get angry at He Wan. "When you came home last time, you won't talk about leftovers and now you're ruining food. Did Grandma and Grandpa teach you? If not, then it's because you yourself didn't learn from good examples."

Meng Ting could not figure out why He Wan had such a bad habit of spoiling food. She held the identity of an elder in the family after all. Meng Ting was panting with rage, though he already said enough to make his point. He held the bowl of porridge up together with the handbag, then placed them altogether on the ground.

"Rhubarb."

He shouted and Rhubarb, who was lying on the sofa, came over immediately after it heard him.

"Eat this. Let's not waste food."

Rhubarb was very obedient. After it licked three to five times with its long tongue, the porridge in the bowl and even the porridge grains on the handbag, were all gone.

This added to He Wan's fury, making her tremble with anger. She almost pointed at the wrong place when she pointed at Yan Sui.

"You've let him make me this angry?"

Yan Sui held Meng Ting's hand again, then he looked back at He Wan indifferently. "Did Meng Ting say anything wrong?"

Without waiting for He Wan's answer, Yan Sui answered it himself, "He's right."

Apart from her somewhat better birth, she was arrogant, conceited, and ill-bred. Where in the least bit was her upbringing? Where in the least bit was her act which conformed to the doings of a mother?

"As for...Grandmother," These words turned around in Yan Sui's throat with a hint of playfulness and sarcasm. "Did you see with your own two eyes that she was ill? Or did Second Uncle tell you..."

"You didn't go to the hospital first and didn't go to the Hes to inquire about her condition, but then you came here to interrogate us...you don't seem to care about Grandma, too." Meng Ting glanced at He Wan, then at Yan Sui who was talking. He felt that He Wan was getting even angrier, but he did not feel worried or sad.

If He Wan really cares about her mother's health, since the very beginning, shouldn't she not forget to go to the hospital and accompany her? Instead, He Wan chose to rush all the way here to look for trouble with them. It was really strange. Moreover, before they left yesterday, Old Madame He obviously looked fine. Even if she was ill, it had nothing to do with them.

Yan Sui looked at Meng Ting. He raised his other hand, rubbed Meng Ting's hair, and said, "You're right."

Meng Ting's eyes shone and his anger slightly faded away. He rubbed Yan Sui's hand and said softly, "Just be good and don't get angry."

"I won't," Yan Sui answered and his voice was a little softer as well. His hand moved down from Meng Ting's hair and stroked his cheek once again. "Don't get angry, too."

"Okay," Meng Ting nodded and slightly raised his chin. However, he did not look at He Wan anymore. He would not get angry if he did not look at her.

He Wan almost felt dizzy because of the guts that they have shown right before her eyes. She grabbed the things at hand, as if she wanted to launch another attack, but Yan Sui's voice came over once again.

"Send Miss He out. She won't be allowed to enter the old residence without my permission!"

"Wh... what!?" He Wan suddenly raised her voice. She just thought she was hearing things.

"What did you call me? A moment ago...you called me what?"

The first time Yan Sui started calling her mother, it felt, kind of, neither familiar nor distant. However, over the past twenty years, they were indifferent to each other. Yan Sui would call her "Mom" when he spoke to her. If he wanted to warn her, he would directly call her "Mother." Miss He...what kind of address was this!?

"I'm the wife whom your father married. I have my wedding room here. Are you forbidding me from going to the old residence?"

The color of He Wan's face turned blue and white simultaneously. Her expression changed radically and her delicate makeup got a little distorted. She had aged and her former appearance was almost impossible to keep.

"Married...are you talking about the marriage between you and a memorial tablet?"

If He Wan did not make a fuss before his eyes, he might have continued to put up with her for some time, but she insisted on having it this way...he did not want to wait for her to do something to Meng Ting and regret it later for not making a decision earlier.

Today was a bit sudden, but Yan Sui did not think it was inappropriate. This was just the right time.

"I never heard that dead people could get married, so...you and my father had a...ghost marriage?"

"Bang!" He Wan immediately smashed the lamp stand, which she was holding on to, to the floor. She took three steps back and her face was so ghastly that it made people feel that she was pitiful. However, whether it was Yan Sui or Meng Ting, both still asked the servants to take her away out of the drawing room. Uncle Xiao and Nanny Wang, who personally guarded the door, also did not have any urge to have pity on her.

She had broken a family apart. She made a pair of lovers into a dead affectionate couple. He Wan, He Wan...there was no need to feel sorry for her.

"You, you..."

"I know everything."

Yan Sui did not want to deny it. He did not know everything about the past in detail, but it did not mean that he did not know anything, especially after he had investigated on it. He just did not talk about it. "It was you who told me from the very beginning."

The two elders of the Yans and even Yan Manjia all consciously desired not to let themselves vent their anger on him, so it was natural that they would not tell him about those matters. However, He Wan was not like them. Although that one night did not terrify him anymore, he still had a deep impression of it.

When he was asleep, He Wan went into his room. A pair of cold hands lingered on his face and neck. She thought about strangling him.

"Why do you look so alike? Why do you look so alike? I hate it. I really hate it..."

At the time, Yan Sui was only seven years old. He did not understand it, but it was the time when he wanted to understand everything. His biological mother had intended to kill him. What a great shock it was for a child who was still yearning for love from his father and mother.

From then on, he began to be cautious of his family members' expressions, including his grandparents, Yan Manjia, and He Wan.

Meng Ting suddenly took a deep breath. He immediately stood up and went to Yan Sui's side. He wrapped both of his hands over Yan Sui's shoulders. He subconsciously wanted to protect Yan Sui with this kind of gesture and his anger was now indescribable.

"Yan Sui, don't call her mother. She doesn't deserve it."

If she thought of laying her hands on her seven-year-old son, how could He Wan deserve to be called a mother?

He also had a bad experience in his childhood, but he was born stupid and there was not much that he could feel. On the other hand, Yan Sui was not. Both of his EQ and IQ were higher than those of his peers; thus, making him way more sensitive and feel malice from the outside world even more. Moreover, that person was his biological mother.

Yan Sui grasped Meng Ting's hands, which were wrapped around his shoulders, and gently nodded. "Okay."

He Wan instinctively wanted to shake her head and deny it, but there was no way for her to do it. When she looked at that face, which was becoming more and more similar to Yan Yu's, she recalled the dullness and loneliness of being married to a memorial tablet for so many years, so she could not help but want to hate and destroy everything she could destroy.

"Show her the door!" Yan Sui turned around and his voice became slightly louder. Uncle Xiao came in with two servants and took He Wan, who stood up distracted and in a daze, to walk her out of the drawing room.

"Yan Sui, Yan Sui! You can't do this to me. You can't! I still have shares of the family..."

Her voice could not be heard that much because she was completely pulled out of iron gate of the Yans' residence.

Yan Sui looked up and gazed at Meng Ting with a slight worry in his gaze, then he stood up, and hugged the boy.

Usagi notes: Sorry for the super delay guys. Been busy at school and sick. We'll take a break from updating again and be back after new year. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone!

"Anyway, it's just a little earlier than what was originally planned."

"Okay," Meng Ting answered and patted Yan Sui's back. "I'll ask my teachers for leave today, then I'll take the exam papers with me to the company. I want to accompany you."

He could feel that Yan Sui's mood did not change a lot. He had given up on He Wan a long time ago, so he no longer had any signs of joy or anger. In today's scene, he was temporarily aroused, but it was not enough to affect his mood.

Yan Sui did not need anyone's concern nor did he need their pity. Meng Ting did not want to pity Yan Sui as well. He only wanted to accompany him.

"I want to accompany you all the time," Meng Ting said as he slightly raised his chin, then he firmly hugged and vigorously kissed Yan Sui.

Yan Sui slightly took a step back and responded to Meng Ting's attack, then they slowly retreated to the sofa.

Yan Sui sat down and Meng Ting stopped for a moment, then he pounced on him again. He crawled on Yan Sui with half of his body and rubbed his hands gently on Yan Sui's chest. Meng Ting gently stuck his tongue out, then he kissed him hard and sucked his lips hard, as if he wanted to suck out all of Yan Sui's sadness and misfortune.

It was not hard to sense such intention. Yan Sui was trapped with his back against the sofa as he indulged in Meng Ting's sudden enthusiasm. The unconscious coldness of his eyebrows gradually dissipated and turned into tenderness because of Meng Ting. He held the boy in his embrace as if he was holding a rare treasure.

No, it was not a mere 'as if'—Meng Ting was truly his treasure—his darling.

The kiss lasted for quite some time, so much that it had aroused each other's urges. The two men's foreheads pressed against one another. Their breaths slightly calmed down, along with the urge to get kissed, which was becoming more and more frequent.

"Yan Sui, I love you. I definitely love you."

Meng Ting still had his eyes closed, yet he still spoke quite earnestly. His forehead was slightly brushed and the tip of his nose rubbed against Yan Sui's, then he smiled and said, "We must always love each other."

This realization did not only come to light just now; it had always been there, but at this moment, it suddenly became clear and so he immediately wanted to let Yan Sui know.

After he finished speaking, his eyes fluttered open and his gaze fell into Yan Sui's infinitely tender gaze.

The corners of Meng Ting's eyebrows gradually curved, then he raised his face. Starting from Yan Sui's forehead, with smacking sounds, he kissed him going down. In a certain way, it was not enough to be kissed by him. After that, he was kissed again by Yan Sui's lips, which unexpectedly collided with his.

The lingering kiss made any person's heart feel terribly sweet. He seemed to have sunken in a mass of cotton. It was light and heavy. It made him feel uneasy, yet he seem to not be uneasy. Yan Sui whispered, "Say it again. I want to hear it."

Meng Ting inched closer to Yan Sui's ears, then he spoke earnestly and sweetly, "I love you, I love you, I love you..."

Since the first time Meng Ting met him, he liked Yan Sui and thought that he was nice. Now, after they have known each other for more than a month, he fell in love with Yan Sui. He did not know when it was; he just fell in love with Yan Sui.

"You're right. When I fall in love with you, I'd know what love is."

Meng Ting sat on Yan Sui's lap. He wanted to hold the man in his embrace as if he was holding a great treasure. He could see nothing but Yan Sui in his sight.

"What's love?" Yan Sui asked softly. Meng Ting's confession came so suddenly that it made him happy, yet he could not help but feel worried whether what Meng Ting had thought was right or not.

However, Meng Ting answered this question without any hesitation or irresoluteness. From the moment he determined that he fell in love with Yan Sui, he was certain with his answer.

"Love is you. You're my love. All my love is you."

Meng Ting did not know whether Yan Sui could understand what he meant; thus, he grabbed his hand and pressed it on his chest. "I want to give you everything that I could give to you. I want you to be happy and everything in your life to be good."

If one day he had to make a more favorable choice between himself and Yan Sui, he would definitely choose Yan Sui. He wanted Yan Sui to be in good health. He unconditionally just wanted Yan Sui to be well.

Yan Sui's heartbeat became unsteady because of Meng Ting. He moved forward slightly, then he kissed the part that affected his heartbeat just now, and embraced him again. For a long time, he could not say anything.

Meng Ting's confession caught him off guard, but it was also indistinguishably full of pleasant surprises. In love with each other...they were in love with each other.

After Uncle Xiao and Nanny Wang sent He Wan out, they went on their own ways to instruct the servants in the residence. Around twenty minutes later, they got back to the drawing room once again, only to find that the room was full of pink bubbles. Meng Ting shamelessly sat on Yan Sui's lap. Even when they came back, he was still unwilling to come down.

He buried his head on Yan Sui's neck out of embarrassment from seeing them, but he still clinged on Yan Sui and did not want to let go.

Yan Sui smiled. He raised his hand and asked Uncle Xiao and Nanny Wang to tidy up and leave soon. He was like Meng Ting. He did not want them to disturb his intimacy with Meng Ting.

However, after eight o'clock, they also need to go out.

After he was able to express his feelings to Yan Sui and was accepted, Meng Ting was in a very good mood and became more spontaneous and clingy to Yan Sui.

He was glued to Yan Sui while they sat on the car, with his feet slightly raised up on Yan Sui's legs. If they could not see them in the front seats, he would probably be as close as they were in the drawing room; that kind of closeness with Yan Sui wherein they were in each other's arms.

"By the time we arrive in the company, I won't bother you."

Meng Ting also thought that he was too clingy, but he still did not want to restrain himself for the time-being.

"You're not a bother. I'd be happy to." Yan Sui raised his hand and caressed Meng Ting's delicate face. After that, he pinched his earlobe again and laid Meng Ting's head on his shoulder. While in this position, he took out his phone and called Wang Feng.

"Send someone to keep an eye on He Wan and see who she's looking for in this period of time."

The five percent of their clan's shares was the only bargaining chip in He Wan's hands and the only one that others could exploit. He wanted to solve those annoying matters, so that he could spend more time with Meng Ting.

However, since Yan Sui got married, he had been spending a lot of time with Meng Ting. He had to leave work every day in advance. In the evening, there were some banquets that could be postponed and some that he could not. If it was appropriate, he would take Meng Ting along with him. If it was not appropriate, he would go and just show up, then go back right away.

On the twenty-ninth of August, the day before Meng Ting enrolled, Yan Sui took him to Gu Lang's house. It was Gu Lang's birthday.

"See how unlucky I am. In the past, I used to celebrate my birthday at this kind of time when we usually need to rush with our homework..."

Knowing that Meng Ting was going to school tomorrow, Gu Lang immediately recalled the tragic ten years from elementary school to high school. He said these words as he glanced at Yan Sui. Yan Sui himself, who was seated beside Meng Ting, must be the one who came up with this program.

"Yan Sui did it for your own good." It was definitely a wrong decision for Gu Lang to tell Meng Ting this about Yan Sui. If Meng Ting was now considered to be the second person to defend Yan Sui the most, then who would dare to speak of the first? Let alone Gu Lang was complaining jokingly, he naturally knew that Yan Sui did it for their own good.

"Little Sister-in-law's really good," Gu Lang could not help but heave a sigh. Yan Sui looked at him and so, Gu Lang decided to drop the topic. "I specially had people prepare delicious foods, so make yourself at home, Little Sister-in-law."

"Hmn," Meng Ting finally smiled at Gu Lang when he heard this. "I wish you a happy birthday. This is the gift that Yan Sui and I have prepared for you."

"Oh, thank you." Gu Lang took it with both of his hands and a smile bloomed on his face.

Making Yan Sui, a man who was busy with a myriad of affairs daily, personally pick a gift for him, was really not easy. Yan Sui was able to do this only because he was touched by Meng Ting's grace.

The guests in Gu Lang's birthday were his friends and some were his peers from other aristocratic families in Haicheng.

After nearly two months, Meng Ting was able to meet Meng Qi, Meng Xiao, and the others again at Gu Lang's party.

However, he just glanced over once and did not pay much attention to them anymore. After he found out that he was not a child of the Mengs, in his heart, the fetters between him and them were also gone. From now on, the Mengs were the Mengs and he was himself.

In Meng Ting's eyes, they were no different, but whether it was Meng Qi or Meng Xiao, they both felt the great changes in Meng Ting when they met him again after being separated for two months.

During the time that he did not go back to the Mengs' residence, his gloom completely vanished, it seemed he had grown taller, his face was rosy, and he looked very healthy and handsome. He seemed to be glowing that he made it hard for people to look away from him the moment they glanced at him.

In the past, Meng Qi felt that in terms of appearance, Su Siyu was slightly better than Meng Ting. After all, Su Siyu really knew how to showcase his strong points. However, that was not the case anymore after he saw Meng Ting again today. Meng Ting's bearing had improved. His appearance was beautiful, but Yan Sui was the one who developed his nobility.

Good-looking was good-looking, but no one would dare to cast greedy eyes in front of them.

Meng Ting had become different. He was getting better and better.

Meng Qi looked upon, and slightly raised his eyebrows. One thing he could be sure of was that Yan Sui was really good to Meng Ting. Even in the bustling hall, he did not let go of Meng Ting's hand and looked after him. Furthermore, he did not refrain himself in front of the others; therefore, everyone could see that they were deeply in love with each other in just a glance.

"Little Fox..." Meng Xiao sneered softly. The better Meng Ting's life was, the more he felt that he had lost a lot. In other words, he still thought that he should be the one married into the Yan family and not Meng Ting, who came back suddenly.

Of course, no matter how intense Meng Xiao felt, he could barely hold it back. On the other hand, Su Siyu really needed to spend even more effort to control it than him. After all, Meng Xiao was only jealous, while he was remorseful and angry.

Yan Sui was his—"was his"—he was once his! He wanted to kill that person. He wanted to kill Meng Ting!

"I'm sorry. My mother decided it all by herself and invited a bunch of rotten people for me." Gu Lang moved closer to Yan Sui and Meng Ting and whispered. If it was up to him, he would absolutely not invite the Mengs and Su Siyu, who clearly made Meng Ting unhappy.

"It doesn't matter. You should go and greet the others." Yan Sui nodded and expressed his understanding.

Gu Lang was a junior in their family. When he was a child, things were still okay. Even if they invite others, they would assign a place for Gu Lang's friends for him so he could have some fun. As he grew up, birthday parties like this had changed into an event for various families to meet up. Basically, as long as it was not a really hostile family, they would be invited to come. Naturally, he would have to mingle with the people who came.

Up until now, Meng Ting did not like this kind of banquet as well. Although there were a lot of delicious foods in the banquet, the situation in every banquets were all the same. He could feel a lot of greedy eyes on Yan Sui. There were also several gazes that were particularly intense. It made him want to hide Yan Sui.

"Yan Sui, say you love me. I want to hear it."

Meng Ting suddenly moved closer to Yan Sui's ear and said these words. His eyes were particularly persistent. Of course, he also knew that Yan Sui would agreed.

I love you. Ever since they said these words openly that day, they said it everyday. Whenever Meng Ting wanted to hear it, he would tell Yan Sui, asking him to say it. The same was true for Yan Sui, but he mostly chose to let Meng Ting say it at night.

"I love you." Yan Sui said as he gently took the boy into his arms. He looked into his eyes and said it very determinedly.

"Hmn," Meng Ting nodded and those uncontrollable insecurities dispersed a little. "I love you, too."

It was not Yan Sui's fault at all if he attracted people. It goes without saying that Yan Sui was handsome and deserved to be liked by many people; therefore, he could not blame Yan Sui, yet he still felt uneasy. It would not be a problem as long as he was sure that Yan Sui loves him.

Yan Sui lowered his eyes and held back the impulse to kiss Meng Ting. In the end, he just rubbed Meng Ting's cheek.

However, this in fact did not make any difference. He repetitively took the boy in his arms and repetitively caressed his face. There were other married couples and lovers who attended the banquet today, but none were as bold as they were.

Looking at them from a distance, Zhong Ming nudged Zhen Han's arm and asked him in a low voice, "Tell me, who do you think fell deeper between those two?"

Those who knew Meng Ting surely felt that he had changed a lot, but it was not the case for those who knew Yan Sui. With his former indifference, they all thought that he would grow old alone. Otherwise, who would let his apparently-flawed mother arrange his own marriage.

"My brother," Zhen Han answered him almost instinctively.

Perhaps, only he could answer this question. He knew Yan Sui and had more contact with Meng Ting than Zhong Ming and the others. His gaze fell on Meng Ting and there was a faint smile in his eyes.

"Sister-in-law's temperament is simple. If he's really hurt, he'd just walk away and won't quibble over it."

Meng Ting's world was too simple. There were very few transitional zones in it; love or hate; like or dislike; it was very simple and clearly divided. He might get extremely hurt, but he would not quibble over it.

The more he understood Meng Ting, the more he felt that Meng Ting was suitable for Yan Sui, knowing that what Yan Sui hated the most was complexity—the complexity of human nature. Sometimes, he even hated himself because of this [1].

([1] As we all know, Zhen Han has a very complicated personality and he quibbles a lot.)

"This isn't the case for my brother. You see he's still calm and extremely restrained...but if Sister-in-law dares to run away, he'll absolutely..."

"What?" Zhong Ming leaned to his side to listen to what Zhen Han was saying. The more that he listened, the more that he felt that it was reasonable. However, Zhen Han's voice suddenly disappeared.

"He can't let people go...as for how far he can do it, no one can predict it." Yan Sui's strength was very deeply concealed, but if it really broke out, then it would be very terrifying.

Seeing Zhong Ming's frightened look, Zhen Han raised his hand and gave him a pat on the shoulder.

"Don't worry, my Sister-in-law's a bit special and protects my brother more than anyone else. It's a bit difficult to get between the two of them."

Zhen Han merely stated a few well-known facts about Yan Sui before and he was already assigned by Meng Ting to the ranks of those people who loved to talk bad about Yan Sui. What could make Meng Ting sad was not the alienation by others; rather, it was his own determination that Yan Sui might not really love him and Yan Sui would want to leave him by that time.

However, Zhen Han thought that it would be far more difficult to change Yan Sui's feelings and make him like someone else.

"Mr. Yan, my Old Master's asking you to go to the study." The butler of the Gus came over and invited Yan Sui when he and Meng Ting were chatting on the side.

Yan Sui nodded at him, then he looked at Meng Ting. He seemed to be hesitating whether he should take Meng Ting with him or not.

The Yan clan and Gu clan had business dealings. In the past, the patriarch of the Gus would invite him to discuss about it. It would rather be inappropriate to bring Meng Ting along with him. It was not because Yan Sui was not allowed to bring him. It was just that, what they would be talking about would be very uninteresting; therefore, he was afraid that Meng Ting would get bored.

"That's alright. I'll be waiting here for you."

Meng Ting said before Yan Sui could even say anything. He smiled at Yan Sui, then he kneaded his thumb.

Yan Sui clenched Meng Ting's hand. After briefly thinking about it, he looked at the butler and said, "Wait a moment."

After saying this, he led Meng Ting to Zhen Han and Zhong Ming's side. He gave them instructions repeatedly, then he followed the butler.

Meng Ting thought that there was no need for someone to look after him, but he understood as well that Yan Sui was worried about him, so he did not turn him down.

"What do you want to eat Little Sister-in-law? I'll get it for you." Zhen Han and Zhong Ming took Meng Ting to sit on a sofa in the corner of the drawing room and said this to him. Yan Sui had entrusted a heavy responsibility to the both of them. Naturally, they could not neglect his sweetheart.

Meng Ting hesitated for a moment and shook his head. "I already ate too much just now and Nanny Wang has prepared delicious midnight snacks for me and Yan Sui. If I eat too much, I won't be able to eat anymore when we get home."

In truth, this was not the real reason; rather, it was because Yan Sui would get worried that he could suffer from indigestion, so Yan Sui would not let him eat too much.

The reason was too simple that it made Zhen Han and Zhong Ming could not help but laugh.

"Okay, then we'll be right here with you waiting for my brother," Zhen Han said as he raised his hand to the passing-by wine server, "Two glasses of wine and bring a glass of juice."

Before Yan Sui left, he specifically made it clear that they could not let Meng Ting drink; thus, Zhen Han and Zhong Ming naturally did not dare to forget it.

It did not take long for the wine server to come over. Meng Ting picked up the juice and took a sip, then he frowned and put it down.

As a doctor, Zhen Han was very attentive. Meng Ting clearly put it down, not because he did not want to drink it, but because he tasted something and could not get it into his mouth.

"What's the matter?"

"Besides juice, there's the taste of pills..."

He least liked this unbearable taste. He stood up and walked directly to the bathroom he had once visited.

Zhong Ming and Zhen Han also stood up to keep up with him. After a few steps, Zhen Han stopped and looked at Zhong Ming, "You go."

While Zhong Ming went to look for Meng Ting, Zhen Han took that glass of juice. After a little consideration, he went to look for Gu Lang with a dark, yet well-composed face. If anyone wants to harm Meng Ting, this glass of juice would be the evidence.

Meng Ting was already at his limit when he reached the bathroom. He leaned on the toilet and vomited.

The dinner he ate at home and at the banquet just now—everything was vomited. He vomited until he did not have anything to vomit but he was still retching there and his complexion rapidly turned deathly pale. He could not come out for quite a while.

Even though Zhong Ming followed him, he could not help with anything. He could only worry helplessly and ask, "Have you vomited a lot? This is too much. They even dared to drug you right before our eyes!" Inducing vomiting like this—the drug must be something that could make people ill.

The more Zhong Ming thought, the more anxious he felt. "Is it an aphrodisiac? I'll call for emergency treatment right away."

Meng Ting did not hear what Zhong Ming said at all. He restrained the stiffness of his limbs and stood up. He turned on the faucet, rinsed his mouth, and washed his face.

Gu Lang and Zhen Han rushed over and almost asked at the same time, "How's he?"

"He should've thrown up everything completely," Zhong Ming said to Zhen Han and Gu Lang. His anxious look had not changed. He thought Meng Ting was in a very bad condition, then all of a sudden, he became reticent. Looking at it was even more terrifying than the black-faced Yan Sui.

Zhong Ming patted his thigh and looked at Zhen Han. "What's wrong with the juice?"

"I've sent it for testing." Zhen Han was a veterinarian and knew a bit of pharmacology. However, to be able to know what medicine it was by its smell and taste, that was too defiant of the natural order. He did not have such talent.

"It's similar to barbital." Meng Ting suddenly started to talk and immediately stated the generic name of the drug in the juice.

"What's that?" Zhong Ming and Gu Lang were completely unaware of what Meng Ting said, but Zhen Han certainly knew about it.

"It's the chief component of sedatives..." Zhen Han answered while trying to reach forward and hold Meng Ting's arm, but Meng Ting avoided him. Zhen Han did not dare to force him. His tone was somewhat more gentle, "Sister-in-law, come with us to see the doctor first. Gu Lang already asked someone to call for my brother."

"Can you find out who it is?" Meng Ting looked up to look at Zhen Han. His face was unusually pale that his pupils appeared unusually dark.

"It's under investigation and it'll take some time."

Gu Lang answered as well. They were somehow quite confused. Sedatives were used to treat mental illnesses. Why would anyone wish to give it to Meng Ting? However, no matter what their intention was, the one who added the drug had already violated their taboos and touched Yan Sui's reverse scales.

Meng Ting hung his head low and followed them. He lifted his hand to hold his abdomen and his frown became a bit deeper. That nauseating feeling was still overwhelming, but he also knew that he had nothing to vomit.

Walking from the bathroom to the lounge, Meng Ting's complexion became more ghastly again.

Gu Lang, Zhen Han, and the others all felt distressed when they looked at him. In a moment, Yan Sui would be coming back and they did not know what his distressed look would look like.

"I don't need to see a doctor. I'll just rest for a moment."

Meng Ting was now rejecting even Zhen Han's touching one arm, let alone being examined by a doctor. Meng Ting's voice was not loud at all, but they could hear that rejection. They were not Yan Sui. They could not force him even if they wanted to.

Zhen Han and Gu Lang were still a bit hesitant. The doctor was also hesitant to come forward. When the door of the lounge opened, Meng Ting instinctively raised his head to have a look. However, the person who had arrived was not Yan Sui; instead, it was Meng Qi.

"Why..." Meng Qi glanced around. He seemed to be quite surprised that there were so many people in here. His gaze fell on Meng Ting. "Little Seventh...what happened to you?"

When Meng Ting realized that the person who came was not Yan Sui, the light in his eyes dimmed down again and his gaze fell on his slightly trembling hands. The darkness in his eyes kept expanding.

"How come you're in here?" Zhen Han frowned as he asked Meng Qi. The corner where they were sitting was quite remote. He did not alarm anyone when he looked for Gu Lang. Meng Qi and his friends were drinking in the courtyard and they only asked their men to call for Yan Sui. How come he came in here?

Zhong Ming and Gu Lang also stood up. The gaze of the three men and Zhen Han's tone somewhat carried a skeptical undertone. Meng Qi suddenly stopped walking and frowned deeper. "A servant told me that Little Seventh had something to talk about and asked me to come to the lounge."

Zhen Han looked at Meng Qi. His complexion became even more ghastly.

What sedative...that was just to make Meng Ting fall asleep. After that, they would lure Meng Qi over...allowing others to brand them groundlessly with such label of 'brothers committing incest'. The mind behind this scheme was truly vicious, really sinister and vicious!

Zhen Han wanted to know. Zhong Ming and Gu Lang wanted to know as well. However, before they could say and do anything, the door was opened and Yan Sui finally arrived.

He came in with large strides and his gaze fell on Meng Ting. His expression turned icy in an instant with dregs falling off. Meng Qi instinctively moved aside a few steps. Zhen Han and the others, who were in front of Meng Ting, consciously retreated back as well and made way to let Yan Sui approach.

Hearing his steps, Meng Ting slowly raised his eyes to look at the man, then he called out, "Yan Sui..."

Flat tone and expression were useless. No matter how good he pretended, his face already exposed everything. He was unwell; very, very unwell.

Yan Sui sat down and immediately took Meng Ting into his arms. He embraced Meng Ting with all his strength. He did not give Meng Ting a chance to hesitate or reject.

Meng Ting's whole body slightly stiffened, then he raised his hand and clasped on Yan Sui's waist. After that, he buried his face into Yan Sui's neck.

His body was still quite stiff and there was a kind of unexplainable stiffness from his limbs to his abdomen. The feeling of breathlessness still existed, but it would become a bit better with Yan Sui by his side.

"What's the matter?"

Yan Sui's voice was not low, but it was solemn and it directly penetrated to the bottom of the hearts of those people around them.

Zhen Han stepped forward, looking a little guilty, "Zhong Ming and I accompanied Sister-in-law and asked for a glass of juice for him. Sister-in-law took a sip and found that it had been drugged..."

"What drug?" Yan Sui interrupted Zhen Han and the space between his eyebrows wrinkled.

"Barbital, a sedative."

Yan Sui clenched his fist while holding Meng Ting's hand, then he smiled at himself. His smile was cold and ruthless, making Gu Lang and Zhong Ming shivered. They knew Yan Sui had reached his breaking point.

"Are there others aware of this?" he asked.

His question stunned Meng Qi for a while, he knew Yan Sui was asking him. Then he recalled back before shaking his head, "I don't think so, I came here after receiving the message."

"Right, since they organize this, why don't we act with them till the end. Isn't it a waste if we don't do that! "

Zhen Han and the others looked at each other and instantly understood what Yan Sui was planning to do. He was trying to track down the one who did this to Meng Ting.

Meng Qi glanced at Meng Ting, who closed his eyes and leaned against Yan Sui. He then nodded, expressing his willingness to cooperate.

"Sister-in-law........ "

Capturing the mastermind behind this was important, but Meng Ting was not looking good at all.

Yan Sui leaned towards Meng Ting and gave him a kiss on the forehead, "He will be fine."

No one knew Meng Ting's situation better than him, Yan Sui then patted Meng Ting's back, "You'll be fine. "

Meng Ting did not respond, instead he tightened his grips on Yan Sui's waist.

After they had a brief discussion, Gu Lang and Zhong Ming were the first to leave, before Zhen Han and Meng Qi left too. Leaving Yan Sui and Meng Ting alone in the room.

After everyone left, the distress in Yan Sui's eyes were no longer hidden. He kissed Meng Ting's lips before speaking in a soft voice, seemingly afraid to scare the person in his arms.

"Good boy, don't be afraid. I'm Yan Sui, open your eyes and look at me..... "

Meng Ting's eyelashes flickered before his eyes finally opened, his eyes were dark and empty enough to make people panic. After a while, his eyes seemed to be back to its usual state, "Yan Sui.... "

Yan Sui continued to rub at Meng Ting's neck, and he gently kissed him, "That's right, I'm Yan Sui."

"You are Yan Sui." Meng Ying whispered Yan Sui's words in a soft voice, he blinked for a while, escaping the nightmare he was in, "Yan Sui, you are Yan Sui."

"I'm here, it's okay, it's okay........ "

Yan Sui said as he continued to kiss him, Meng Ting was not looking good at all and his temperature was as cold as an ice. Yan Sui could only use the method that Meng Ting loved to make him feel warmer.

Meng Ting's expression did not have any changes, but when one looked into his eyes, they could definitely feel his sadness and hopelessness.

"It turns out, I'm not getting any better yet....... "

If any other normal people heard what Meng Ting said, they might not understand what he was talking about. Yet, Yan Sui completely understood his past and all the nightmares he faced before.

"It's okay, it's okay, Meng Ting, I said it's okay. "

Meng Ting was a drug addict before, and when he quit it, they sent him to a special high school for a while. That place treated those restless students the same way they treated patients with mental disorders, including Meng Ting.

Meng Ting, who could not take medicines or injections was forced to take the stabilizer and injections every day, and because he resisted taking those, those three years he was in there, it was so miserable and terrifying. So terrifying that when Yan Sui knew about this, he followed Meng Ting's way of coping, which was not to mention about it ever.

But today, he and Meng Ting were unprepared at the sudden attack, making Meng Ting fall back to the darkness he was once in, and Yan Sui was so distressed that he wanted to kill someone to vent his anger.

"I'll always be with you, let's take it slow and steady, all right?"

Yan Sui lifted Meng Ting's chin and kissed him again. The kiss was gentle as Yan Sui was afraid of hurting him and made him feel uncomfortable.

Meng Ting was no longer talking, he did not respond to Yan Sui's kiss nor did he resist it, but the haze in his eyes seemed to have dispersed.

Yan Sui could hear some noises coming from the door, he then let Meng Ting leaned against him before taking his suit off and used it to cover Meng Ting.

The doorknob twisted and a dozen people squeezed into the room.

The first few who entered the room stopped in shock when they saw Yan Sui, for a moment they could not make any sound. The others behind them who were not aware of the situation in the room continued to make a racket.

"Meng Qi, you are so mean. How dare you come here to enjoy alone."

"Yeah, yeah, I want to see which beauty you're having..... Yan... Mr Yan!"

"I apologize, we enter the wrong room."

Gu Ya, the first one to enter the room, quickly apologized. He had a pleasant relationship with Meng Qi and was one of his frequent drinking buddies too.

"Sorry..." A series of apologies came, making the scene extremely awkward.

Yan Sui did not respond to their apologies, instead he patted Meng Ting's back before picking him up bridal style.

As he got closer to the crowd, he said to them, "Get away from me."

Everyone moved to the side subconsciously. As Yan Sui took Meng Ting out from the lounge, Gu Lang and Zhong Ming rushed over and nodded at him, telling him they had determined the suspects but still needed more investigations.

"Give me the result tomorrow."

"Okay." Gu Lang nodded again, the Gu family was responsible for what happened to Meng Ting. But, Yan Sui did not blame him for their old-time sake. Most importantly, how could he easily let it go when someone tried to do something, especially during his birthday party.

After Yan Sui and Gu Lang finished speaking, he continued to carry Meng Ting and headed towards the hall. He looked down and said, "Let's go home."

"Okay." Meng Ting responded. When the tip of his nose breathed in Yan Sui's scent, he subconsciously tightened his grip on him. He felt like he was in a mini world with only him and Yan Sui, making Meng Ting feeling much better than before.

Yan Sui ignored all the eyes on him, he walked past the banquet hall and the courtyard, finally leaving the Gu's residence with Meng Ting in his arms.

Yan Sui carried Meng Ting in his car all the way until they reached Yan's residence. The journey back home was silent, but Yan Sui kept his firm grip on Meng Ting, not giving him any opportunity to push him away. After getting off from the car, Yan Sui once again picked Meng Ting up in bridal style.

Uncle Xiao and Nanny Wang were a little surprised, even though it was normal for Yan Sui and Meng Ting to be intimate with each other at home. After that, they both went back to their own business.

"Don't think of trying to push me away, I won't leave you alone."

Yan Sui said after placing Meng Ting back on the bed.

The moment Yan Sui carried Meng Ting out from the lounge, he realized Meng Ting's body was getting stiffer; he rejected any contacts from anyone, including him. But Meng Ting didn't want to reject him, that's why he became stiffer to prevent hurting him

According to the report came after a brief investigation, once Meng Ting was tranquilized, there would be an excitation phase that lasted for three or four hours, along with a clear tendency to violence and rejecting anyone who got close to him.

But as long as they kept him in a closed room, he could hurt no one and would return to normal after a day or two.

"I'm not thinking about it." Meng Ting said. His body's instinctive reaction was to reject everyone's contact, but he did not want to push Yan Sui away. He recognized Yan Sui, how could he reject him?

"Okay, I was wrong." Yan Sui said, lowering his head to kiss Meng Ting's lips again. The coldness on his face finally dispersed, and after a few minutes, he began taking off Meng Ting's clothes.

Meng Ting's body instantly became stiff, his instinct was to reject anyone who touched him. They had done the most intimate actions in the past before, but this time, even a slight touch from Yan Sui would raise a lot of small lumps.

Meng Ting clenched his hand into a fist without even realizing it. He was forcing himself to accept Yan Sui, forcing himself to not hurt him.

Yan Sui took Meng Ting's jacket off and unbuttoned his shirt, then slipped his pajamas on. The moment the pajamas covered Meng Ting's line of sight, he suddenly backed away. Even though he was not trying to hurt anyone, he would have fallen to the ground if Yan Sui had not grabbed his leg.

Yan Sui pressed Meng Ting's leg and quickly pulled down his pajamas. Meng Ting stopped moving after seeing Yan Sui.

He glanced at Meng Ting for a while before continuing his action, he took his pants off and put on his pajamas again.

After that, he changed himself and sat on the bed while circling Meng Ting into his arms.

His hands were slowly patting on Meng Ting's back, again and again.

Meng Ting's eyes were still wide open, normally he should have been squinting and sleepy. However, he could not feel sleepy at all, instead he felt cold, even though Yan Sui was hugging him, he felt cold.

Meng Ting then curled up his body, Yan Sui gently patted at his back before hugging him again.

"Don't be scared, you won't hurt me. Let me stay with you."

Yan Sui said, the pain in his eyes was getting more difficult to control. He continued stroking Meng Ting's hair, "I'm here, I'll always be here."

Meng Ting slowly looked up, those dark brown eyes had a kind of hollowness, but he was more trance compared to last time, not strong, but still different.

Yan Sui was so distressed that he kissed Meng Ting's eyes and asked.

"Who am I?"

Meng Ting looked at Yan Sui and slowly replied, "Yan Sui..."

He looked at the thin layer of Yan Sui's shirt, along with his fragile collarbone exposed right in front of him. He held him in his arms and exposed his softest and most vulnerable parts to him.

So, how could he say he would not be hurt by him. Just in case, what if he did?

Meng Ting still did not respond to his words. Yan Sui was anxious, but he was unsure what he was anxious about. His eyes darted to Meng Ting's dry lips and then glanced around to see the kettle on the table in front of the sofa. He patted his back gently before standing up.

Before he turned around, Meng Ting suddenly strangled his legs and pulled him back against him. Suddenly, the two changed their position, and Meng Ting had Yan Sui trapped under him. He widened his eyes and a look of confusion flashed across his face.

"Didn't you say.... You will stay with me?"

His hand shivered slightly before falling on Yan Sui's collar, "Please don't go."

"I won't go." Yan Sui was trying to pour water, but Meng Ting misunderstood that he was leaving, so he raised his hand and hugged the person on top of him firmly. "I won't go."

Meng Ting's limbs shivered before releasing his grips on Yan Sui.

Yan Sui's hand ran along Meng Ting's back, once again assuring him, "I'm not going anywhere, I'll always stay with you."

Meng Ting gently lay his head on Yan Sui's chest, his eyes finally dilated with emotions and he whispered, "Yan Sui, I'm feeling uncomfortable."

Yan Sui choked at Meng Ting's remark, the distress he was feeling a while ago doubled, other than Meng Ting, no one else had made him feel as distressed as he was right now in his whole life.

Yan Sui then hugged him tightly, and let him lay down on his side, he slightly raised his body and looked down at him, "Tell me, where are you feeling uncomfortable."

"My chest." Meng Ting's hand instantly flew to his chest. He felt like something was blocking his airway, making him hard to breathe.

Yan Sui opened Meng Ting's shirt and his lips fell on his smooth chest. He was not putting too much pressure into the kiss nor was he being gentle about it, Yan Sui's eyes converged slightly as he was focusing on easing Meng Ting's discomfort.

Meng Ting looked at him and he was feeling much better already. He felt his warm kisses, and his hand subconsciously went up to stroke Yan Sui's hair. It was a little stiff at first, but it gradually became gentler.

"My tummy is uncomfortable too." Meng Ting whispered after a long time.

Yan Sui raised his head to meet his gaze, and the corner of his mouth tugged upwards. Then, he rolled up his pajamas and kissed his stomach. Yan Sui raised again and looked at him, "Is it here?"

Meng Ting stayed still for a while before correcting him, "Not there, you have to come up a little more."

After that was a series of kisses with concentration and tenderness, and it felt a little ticklish too. Meng Ting occasionally blinked for a while, but the rest of the time, he was looking at Yan Sui intently. Although the most he could see was his hair.

"My head is hurting too." Meng Ting said again after feeling a little better at his stomach. In fact, there was almost no discomfort on his body after being kissed by Yan Sui.

After hearing that, Yan Sui gently pulled his clothes down and returned to Meng Ting, kissing his hair first, then his forehead, eyebrows, eyes, the tip of his nose then his lips.

Meng Ting still did not give him any response, but his eyes were wide open. As Yan Sui was about to leave, he pressed his hand on Yan Sui's back neck, preventing him from leaving.

"We'll continue kissing."

Yan Sui was stunned for a while, but Meng Ting raised his jaw and gently licked Yan Sui's lips, as if he wanted to taste something, but his head was still messed up that he could not feel anything at all. But, he wanted to feel again. That confused and persistent look made Yan Sui's heart melt.

He caressed Meng Ting's cheek, his hand almost covered half of his face, and the fingertip of his index finger gently touched his eyebrows, then he lowered his head to kiss Meng Ting's lips, this time he did not restrain himself, all his emotions and distress were let out.

Meng Ting continued to lick Yan Sui slowly and carefully, and this response was enough for Yan Sui.

Due to the kiss and his distress, Yan Sui was seized with a sudden impulse, sweats started to form on his forehead and he left Meng Ting's lips gasping. However, Meng Ting was reluctant to stop.

Yan Sui then pressed his cheek against him, and whispered in his ears, "Don't think about anything else, just look and feel me."

Meng Ting did not agree, nor did he reject him, but Yan Sui did not need him to answer.

He kissed Meng Ting's cheek before taking off all his clothes he had put on before.

His kisses were all over Meng Ting's body, and his lips successfully aroused his desires before moving even closer to him.

Meng Ting's eyes were filled with lust, and his body became unprecedentedly sensitive. But he still wasn't brave enough to make any sudden movements, afraid that he could hurt Yan Sui.

He was passive the whole time, but when Yan Sui thought he might reach his limit or maybe he thought he was not feeling okay, Meng Ting instantly stopped his hesitation and him from leaving.

He liked their contact, even if his consciousness was a little vague and in a trance, but he was sure of this.

This was Meng Ting's attachment to Yan Sui, which was stronger than his body's rejection. Yan Sui should be surprised, because this was absolutely a miracle, a miracle that Yan Sui brought to him.

Both of them fixed their gaze on each other, when Yan Sui noticed that Meng Ting was spacing out again, he would work even harder to bring Meng Ting's attention back to him.

Meng Ting blinked gently, and then moved his body to corporate with Yan Sui. Overall, he was quite lazy and did not want to move

But his occasional response was enough to make Yan Sui excited and relieved.

Both of them gave comfort to each other before Meng Ting curled up with warmth surrounding him while Yan Sui leaned down and continued to kiss him.

After a while, Meng Ting raised his hand and hugged Yan Sui back, rubbing his body against him and seemed to be reminiscing about this addictive physical contact.

After a long time again, Meng Ting looked up at Yan Sui, "Can we do it again."

He said while kissing Yan Sui, and told him directly about his desire, "I need more..."

Not only Meng Ting was recovering, his repulsion of Yan Sui was almost gone too, instead his desire rekindled again and he did not want to hide it, nor did he need to hide it too.

Meng Ting trembled, it seemed like he wanted to search for something, but the two were too close together, he could not see what he wanted to see, he asked Yan Sui again, " Are you sure......you can continue?"

Meng Ting afraid that he was being a bit too forceful.

Yan Sui's expression was stiff, he hugged Meng Ting instead of answering his question. Yan Sui was afraid that he would hurt Meng Ting, that was why he tried to restrain himself. But Meng Ting misunderstood that Yan Sui was not in good condition to continue, making Yan Sui a bit hopeless. However, it was Meng Ting begging for it this time, how could he let him go easily.

Their night could almost be described as a sleepless night. As long as Meng Ting was awake and excited for a long time, Yan Sui would stay awake to accompany, touch then ignite his desire, and he had stopped restraining his feelings towards Meng Ting, as if tomorrow would never come again. Perhaps this was what Meng Ting was thinking at the moment too.

He could not think of the possibilities that would happen tomorrow, nor did he want to remember what happened in the past. Yan Sui hugged the person underneath him tightly, like what he said to Meng Ting, he just had to feel him, and thought of him.

The night was long, in fact it was impossible to say, because the two were too emotional, and all of their discomforts burned in their pool of desires.

Meng Ting fell asleep in Yan Sui's arm, the stiffness of his body was completely gone, but at the same time, he hugged Yan Sui even tighter.

Yan Sui was reluctant and worried about Meng Ting sleeping on his own. He finally pulled out his hand and looked at his phone and realized it was already 4:30 in the morning. He sent a message to Wang Feng and Uncle Wang before shutting down his phone completely. His hand went back to hug Meng Ting and closed his eyes.

Today, he originally made arrangements to accompany Meng Ting to his school. However, Meng Ting needed more rest and instead, he asked Wang Feng to settle Meng Ting's procedures for him and took a one week holiday from school.

He sent a message to Uncle Wang to tell him not to disturb them sleeping, because both he and Meng Ting needed a lot of rest.

A thin quilt wrapped the two people who were hugging each other, even the clear light that fell into the room through the gap between the curtains could not wake them up. Meng Ting was exhausted, and so did Yan Sui.

When it was almost noon, Nanny Wang wanted to go upstairs to check on them but was stopped by Uncle Wang, he too let the other servants know that they should limit their presences on the second floor.

At around 2 o'clock in the afternoon, Zhen Han and Gu Lang arrived at Yan's residence simultaneously. Soon, Zhong Ming and Meng Qi arrived too, but learned from Uncle Wang that Yan Sui and Meng Ting had not gotten up yet.

The four of them frowned, but they did not think much about it. They felt that Meng Ting's condition was a bit serious, and the two probably fell asleep when it was almost sunrise, so it was normal for them to be asleep in the afternoon.

"What are you doing here?" Zhen Han asked Meng Qi. He did not have a good impression of him because of this playboy attitude. That's why Zhen Han could not help but feel suspicious of his intention.

Meng Qi was not surprised at Zhen Han's question, he then raised his eyebrow and said, "I'm worried about Little Seven, I'm his elder brother after all."

Zhen Han glared at Meng Qi and scoffed, a disgusted look formed on his face. Yan Sui would always know what happened to Meng Ting first hand, much earlier than his biological brother, Meng Qi.

"You're here because of your lover, right?"

Meng Qi and Su Si Yu always thought their relationship was a secret to the public, but they did not think of how arrogant their previous behaviour was. From doing it at the Gu's residence garden, to getting seen by Yan Sui and Meng Ting, and it was not uncommon for them to hook up with each other at banquets or gatherings.

It's just that their behaviour did not bother anyone before, everyone was trying to pretend nothing happened since Meng Qi was after all, the eldest in the Meng's family.

Gu Lang and Zhong Ming did not say anything, but their looks showed that they agreed with Zhen Han, not to mention that Meng Qi's identity was not enough to ask for forgiveness, and even if it was enough, they still could not forgive him that easily.

They would never do this kind of "selling sister-in-law" action, otherwise they would have failed Yan Sui's education.

Meng Qi waved his hand, and then he whispered, "It really has something to do with him."

His face gradually darkened with his brows frowning, the anger in his heart slowly rose. Even though he had a thing with Su Si Yu, they never declared as an official couple. After the breakup, he did not want things to end ugly but never expected Su Si Yu to be so cruel towards him.

Incest... Meng Ting would not be the only one who would get destroyed by this, Meng Qi was no exception too. For the sake of the family's name, Mr Meng would definitely choose to abandon him.

Zhen Han glared at Meng Qi in disgust again, and then ignored him. He turned to Nanny Wang and said, "Can you get us some food, we haven't had the time to eat in the morning."

"Okay." Nanny Wang replied, then she went to the kitchen to bring a few dishes out. However, Nanny Wang was not aware of what happened yesterday, that's why she was still in a good mood while cracking a joke to Zhen Han, "I cook this for them in the morning, but they're not awake yet. Today is your lucky day!"

"It smells so nice, and there's herbs too." Zhen Han did not mind Nanny Wang's joke, he scooped up a huge bowl of soup for himself, and sighed happily after taking a sip.

Gu Lang and Zhong Ming felt hungry too when they saw Zhen Han eating. Soon after, both of them took a bowl and drank the soup slowly.

Meng Qi took a sip of the tea and did not join them. Based on his observation, Meng Ting must be living a luxurious life in Yan's family. The food was much better than Meng's family...... No, Meng Ting was starved for several days there, it's not even worthy enough to compare the both.

When they were eating and chatting, Meng Ting finally woke up. He slowly opened his eyes and met Yan Sui's warm gaze. He blinked his eyes before lifting his jaw and kissed Yan Sui's lips.

"Good morning."

"Good morning."

Yan Sui stroked Meng Ting's hair and raised his eyebrows, "It's not morning anymore."

He woke up a few minutes ago and checked the time, it was already half-past two in the afternoon.

"No wonder.... I'm so hungry." Meng Ting continued to mumble against Yan Sui's cheek, and he opened his mouth to bite Yan Sui's lips again, but with no pressure. Soon after, he started licking him gently.

Yan Sui pressed the back of Meng Ting's head and then turned this kind of gentle kiss into a more passionate kiss.

At the end of the kiss, Yan Sui carried Meng Ting up. They were too frantic last night and in the end, he only cleaned Meng Ting briefly before hugging him to sleep, and now it was their turn to take a bath.

Meng Ting naturally encircled Yan Sui's neck with his hand, a corner of his mouth raised while he rubbed himself against his loved ones again.

He smiled sweetly against Yan Sui's cheek as his eyes stared directly at him.

Because of this, all of Yan Sui's worries and distress were lost in Meng Ting's kisses.

"Good boy, let's shower first before heading down for food."

"Anything you say." Meng Ting replied and then kissed Yan Sui's lips again.

Yan Sui bathed Meng Ting as he frowned. He did not know he was being too much of a beast last night, Meng Ting had many marks left on his body. He did not realize it that time, but right now he couldn't help but blame himself.

Meng Ting followed Yan Sui's gaze and looked at himself, he then stretched his hand out to hook Yan Sui's neck while rubbing Yan Sui's cheek to comfort him, "It doesn't hurt, I'm the one who wants it in the first place."

It was him who was pestering Yan Sui to make love with him last night, and he remembered it clearly too. Normally, he wouldn't remember anything after taking those medicines, but he remembered last night mainly because he couldn't bear to forget that moment. He wanted to remember his voice, his tenderness.

"I like it this way."

Meng Ting's straightforward words, along with his serious and frank expression, made Yan Sui unable to restrain himself. He sighed before lowering down to kiss him again.

With Meng Ting's cooperation and Yan Sui's proficiency in bathing someone, the two men quickly finished cleaning themselves.

Meng Ting put on a white long-sleeved sweater while Yan Sui wore a button-down shirt and suit that Meng Ting chose for him. The style was slightly different, but the clothes hanging in his wardrobe were definitely fitting.

"You look great."

Meng Ting glanced at Yan Sui through the mirror and praised him sincerely.

Compared with other family heads, they considered Yan Sui to be too young. Only black could make him look more mature and older. After dressing like so for so many years, he and the surrounding people were already used to it, but only Meng Ting thought he looked great while dressing in black.

After Meng Ting stared dreamily at the mirror for a while, he turned around and shook Yan Sui's arm, "Can you carry me on your back, I'm so hungry that I can't walk."

Meng Ting wasn't speaking nonsense. He vomited everything he had when he was at the party and then did some physically exhausting action with Yan Sui when he was back home. He was so hungry that he couldn't walk was a bit exaggerating, but he really didn't want to walk anymore, instead he preferred Yan Sui carrying him.

Yan Sui bent down before Meng Ting clung on him.

Yan Sui's mouth twitched slightly, and his mood was slightly better. After last night, Meng Ting was more open and had started to request something he wanted, and would take the initiative to be intimate instead of asking in advance. Yan Sui was quite delighted and distressed with these changes at the same time.

He felt delighted because he always wanted Meng Ting to be more open towards his feelings, and he felt distressed because Meng Ting only changed after the suffering he went through last night.

As Yan Sui carried Meng Ting downstairs, four pairs of eyes suddenly turned towards them.

"This.....What's wrong with sister-in-law? Are you still unwell?"

Meng Ting was pressing his face against Yan Sui's back, that's why they couldn't see his face clearly. Because of this, they subconsciously thought Meng Ting was not getting any better, and needed Yan Sui to carry him around.

"I'm fine, just....... Wanted Yan Sui to carry me."

Meng Ting raised his head and explained it to Zhen Han.

Zhen Han and the others suddenly felt that they were shot by the sweet affections.

Yan Sui did not speak. He continued to approach and carried Meng Ting directly to the table before placing him down.

"Drink a cup of water first before eating."

"Okay." Meng Ting nodded, then pulled Yan Sui with him to the table.

Yan Sui poured a glass of water for him. He picked the cup and chunked all the water down to his throat, one cup was not enough for him to hydrate himself, and he drank another cup again.

Yan Sui also drank a glass of water, Nanny Wang then brought meals to the table, and the foods she served were all light meals.

"Oh, what's the matter, your face is not looking good..." Nanny Wang finally made Meng Ting a bit fatter, and after a day and a half, he already lost his weight, making Nanny Wang said in a disapproved tone and looked at Yan Sui.

Zhen Han and the others thought that Yan Sui was innocent, but Yan Sui did not think that way, because he did exhaust Meng Ting a lot last night.

"My weight will come back after a few more meals." Meng Ting was open-minded, he assured Nanny Wang while pouring a cup of milk for Yan Sui.

He didn't drink the milk, but he ate a lot of steamed buns and porridge.

Yan Sui was eating while taking care of Meng Ting, he scooped the porridge and placed the vegetables on his plate. He was skilled in doing it too.

Zhen Han and Gu Lang were glaring at them sourly. Yan Sui never took care of them like that before, they never really enjoyed eating ever since they were young, that's why they ate really slow, it's considered lucky if Yan Sui didn't eat their share.

"Do you guys want to eat too?" Meng Ting suddenly looked up at them and asked.

"No thanks, we just ate." Nanny Wang cooked a lot of porridge, and they were almost full after eating two bowls.

"Oh." Meng Ting nodded and glanced at Yan Sui again before burying his head to continue eating.

Yan Sui's mouth twitched, he realized the true meaning of Meng Ting's question. What he was trying to imply was why Zhen Han and the others kept looking at him with envy when they already finished eating.

After they finished eating, all of them came to sit on the sofa, and Gu Lang was the first one to talk about the situation.

It was easy to investigate too. The waiter did not know about the drugs placed into the juice, but he mentioned that he bumped into someone when he was delivering it. After showing a bunch of photos, the waiter identified the person who bumped into him. After that, Meng Qi's friends blocked the entrance while Zhen Han and Gu Lang observed in the hall, and sent someone to follow the suspect.

"This is the dialogue I sent someone to record."

The mastermind of this was not one person, but two people who hit it off because of the same hatred they had towards Meng Ting.

Meng Xiao and Su Si Yu.

"What's the matter? Didn't you say that Meng Ting is allergic to sedatives?" The voice of Su Si Yu came from the recording, and everyone could tell that he was furious just by listening to his voice, seemingly angry because of his failed attempt to ruin Meng Ting.

"I heard it from...... someone, it's impossible to go wrong. One sip would have sent him to sleep."

Meng Xiao lowered his voice, he heard about his allergies by accident but did not expect that his expectations and the reality were quite the opposite.

The truth was, Meng Ting won't fall asleep with the sedatives, instead he would become more agitated and irritable. Even if Meng Qi arrived at the scene with no one else there according to their evil plan, they wouldn't get the result they expected too.

As a result, Meng Ting would have punched Meng Qi, and not just any normal punch, his punch could have killed him.

Su Si Yu seemed to be thinking because he suddenly stopped talking, but Meng Xiao questioned him, "What about you? Didn't you guarantee that you can lure Meng Qi over there, why is Yan Sui in the room!"

There was some distortion in the recording after this, something must have happened and that's why the recording stopped. But it doesn't matter anymore. This was enough to be the evidence.

Gu Lang put his phone away and looked at Yan Sui, waiting for his instructions.

The others were in deep thought too, but it was no surprise that the culprits were the two of them all along. They were secretly coveting the position of being the wife of the Yan's family, so it was reasonable for them to target Meng Ting.

"Su Si Yu is hilarious, I remember it was him who disliked Yan Sui at first, tch......"

Zhen Han said with disgust, and his eyes swept back to Yan Sui before he swallowed his words back, suddenly forgot that maybe Yan Sui didn't want Meng Ting to know what happened in the past. After all, if it wasn't for He Wan's craziness, Yan Sui would have married Su Si Yu, and the sister-in-law they were facing right now would not be Meng Ting.

Although he hated He Wan, he had to admit that He Wan's madness happened at the right timing.

Meng Ting looked up with a serious look, "Yan Sui is very good." He said, implying that his Yan Sui had nothing to be disliked of.

Zhen Han pouted while Zhong Ming and Gu Lang bursted into laughter. Meng Qi raised his eyebrows slightly, he had already accustomed to Yan Sui's special treatment from Meng Ting

Yan Sui started smiling again, he stroked Meng Ting's hand and then looked up to the crowd, "Let's give a call."

"What do you want to do?" Gu Lang asked subconsciously, Zhong Ming and Zhen Han turned towards him too. Based on Yan Sui's tone, he was definitely not going to be nice anymore.

"Call the Old Masters from both families to come, those who touched my wife have to give the Yans' an explanation."

If the two Old Masters could not please Yan Sui by punishing the two culprits, he would gladly do it himself. Until then, Yan Sui would not simply target Meng Xiao and Su Si Yu only, but the families behind them too.

Gu Lang and Zhong Ming both nodded in agreement. If the Yan's family could not even protect the wife, the position of Yans' as one of the top noble families would be threatened.

Meng Qi also nodded, but he was slightly shaken at the same time too. This was Yan Sui... This was the Yan's family... If one day Yan Sui wanted to go against him because of Meng Ting, the power he held was far not enough.

He prayed that such a day would never come. Because of this, he felt a dominant sense of danger and urgency in his heart while promising himself that he could not waste his life any longer.

Old Master Meng received a call from Yan Sui, which surprised him. Although the two families were in-laws, they never interacted with each other that much before. That's why he was shocked when Yan Sui called to say that there's something important to discuss. No matter how weird he felt about this, he still went to the Yan's residence.

When he arrived, Old Master Su who arrived earlier was just about to leave Yan's residence.

As the two collided, he could feel the anger of Old Master Su just from his facial expression. He muttered a few greetings to him before driving away.

Old Master Meng came to Yan Sui's study and saw Yan Sui and Gu Lang there. Gu Lang explained to him in two sentences as Yan Sui sat there silently, he played the recording again and Old Master Meng's face darkened upon finished hearing it.

Unfortunately, he was more angrier than Old Master Su because Meng Ting was also one of them too. Meng Xiao wanted to harm Meng Ting, and his heir Meng Qi at the same time. If his plan succeeded, the name of Meng's family would forever be ruined.

"Bastard!" Old Master Meng scolded. As Yan Sui glanced at him, he put down his pride and said, "Rest assured, I will not let this go easily."

Old Master Meng definitely would not let a black sheep stayed in his family. Not to mention that Meng Xiao was originally recognized as an illegitimate child, even if he wasn't, he would not let him go easily too.

"Also, please check how Meng Xiao knows about Meng Ting's allergy towards sedatives."

Old Master Meng froze before nodding his head. What Yan Sui wanted to do was to investigate the person behind Meng Xiao, it couldn't be the second branch family, so he narrowed his suspects down to Han Xue Jun or Li Yi Fei.

The Yan's power in *Hai Cheng was solid and powerful. If Yan Sui targeted the Meng's family because of this, they probably could not stay in Hai Cheng anymore and Old Master Meng was well-aware of that.

(*Hai Cheng : The city they lived in)

The two Old Masters left in a hurry, and it was sure that the two had no time to calm down after they reached home.

Gu Lang came downstairs as Yan Sui went back to his room to bring Meng Ting out. Meng Qi left too as soon as Old Master Meng left. Zhong Ming and Zhen Han went for a walk around the backyard, planning to leave after eating dinner.

Meng Ting did nothing when he was in his room. He sat on the sofa while hugging his pillow closed as Rhubarb and Furball accompanied him. What happened yesterday was still on his mind, he just wanted some time to think alone. Yan Sui noticed it too and left him alone.

However, he still allowed Rhubarb and Furball to come in because he understood the two's intentions.

When Yan Sui came into the room, Meng Ting was still deep in his thoughts and did not notice him, not until Yan Sui hugged and kissed him that he slowly snapped out of his thoughts.

"Are you guys done?"

"Yes." Yan Sui straightened up and sat beside Meng Ting, he pulled Meng Ting's shoulder and let him leaned against him.

"I won't let them go easily."

Sending the two to the police station would be too easy for them. Torturing them slowly would let them feel the suffering Meng Ting faced that day. If he handled the situation normally, he would not be the Yan Sui that everyone feared.

Meng Ting seemed to not care about this. Although he hated Meng Xiao and Su Si Yu a lot, he believed that Yan Sui would take care of them. Thus, he doesn't want to waste his thoughts on them.

"I want..... To disengage from the Meng's family." This was what Meng Ting was thinking just now. He looked up at Yan Sui. There was still some hesitation in his eyes. The two married because of an alliance, he was afraid that his decisions would cause great losses to Yan Sui and the Yan's family.

"I will work harder to earn more money, and I will give you all the money I make in the future."

Meng Ting was unsure how much his perfume could earn him. But he would give all of it to Yan Sui no matter the amount.

Yan Sui raised his eyebrows, he couldn't bear to reject Meng Ting's cute intention. Yan Sui then nodded slightly, "Okay, I'll wait for you to earn money for me."

As for the disengagement with the Meng's family, Yan Sui was already preparing for the procedures even if Meng Ting didn't request it.

"Leave that to me. Your mission right now is to maintain your health and study harder, so you can make money for me."

Meng Ting nodded in agreement, "Okay.."

"I'll earn a lot of money for you."

Yan Sui looked at Meng Ting's face and could not help himself but to kiss his lips. His wife became more and more cuter.

Meng Ting had his eyes wide open before narrowing it, he responded to Yan Sui's sudden kiss and the kiss became stronger and more passionate.

Both of them went downstairs half an hour later. Nanny Wang's cooking was as good as ever, and everyone ate more than usual in this meal because Meng Ting who loves to eat took the lead, making everyone had a good appetite. After they finished eating, the three talked to Yan Sui for a while before leaving.

Even when they each went home respectively, they still exchanged their progress with each other.

Old Master Su returned home and angrily hit and scolded Su Si Yu's father, then asked him to bring Su Si Yu back home right now.

The Su's family had not used the family law for decades, and when Old Master Su suddenly wanted to use it, Old Mistress Su was taken aback. After figuring out the reason, she had nothing to say. She warned Su Si Yu not to make irrational decisions a long time ago, but he never listened.

What was even more unexpected was that Su Si Yu's father pretended to bring Su Si Yu back, while in reality, he told Su Si Yu to hide himself. Old Master Su almost had a heart attack when he heard about this.

The Meng's family was much calmer than the Su's family. When Old Master Meng reached home, he asked Uncle Wen to gather everyone, and he told them what Meng Xiao planned to do towards Meng Ting and Meng Qi. Meng Xiao being disowned from the Meng's family was already one of the established punishments.

The reason Old Master Meng gathered everyone was not to discuss Meng Xiao's punishment but an explanation for Yan Sui.

When Li Yi Fei heard what Old Master Meng said, the green veins on her forehead bulged as she glared at Meng Xiao with anger.

Meng Xiao shivered, he learned the news of Meng Ting's allergies from Li Yi Fei, although it was just a brief information, he remembered it and even used that to his advantage. This was undoubtedly a taboo against Li Yi Fei, especially when Meng Xiao failed and exposed himself.

Old Master Meng was observing everyone as he spoke, so was Meng Qi, especially when he knew that Li Yi Fei previously used Wu Feng Jiao to abuse Meng Ting. That's why his focus was on her. Thus, noticing her angry gaze on Meng Xiao.

She thought she was hiding it very well, but she exposed herself.

Meng Qi thought about it and he suddenly realized, was Li Yi Fei the mastermind behind Meng Ting's allergies towards sedatives? As Meng Ting's biological grandmother, how could she be so cruel towards Meng Ting. This was what Meng Qi couldn't figure out.

"Brother Jia, why don't we ask Meng Ting to intercede for us?"

Li Yi Fei turned her head and said to Old Master Meng. She was great at guessing what was on his mind, and what she said was exactly the same as what Old Master Meng was thinking at the moment. As the head of the family, Old Master Meng was reluctant to ask for this favour because of Meng Ting being his descendants.

Feng Ze Jiao glanced at Li Yi Fei and wanted to say something, but was patted on the shoulder by Meng Qi. She took a deep breath and kept her thoughts to herself.

According to her understanding towards this situation, Meng Xiao was part of the second branch family. Not only did he have to give an explanation to Meng Ting and Yan Sui for harming him and Meng Qi, he also had to give them, the first branch family, an explanation. After all, Meng Qi was the heir of the Meng's family. However, Old Master Meng was being biased and yet to mention it.

Feng Zi Jiao was not a person with a good temper, but she had a pleasant relationship with Meng Qi. She endured her anger when Meng Qi told her not to say anything.

Old Master Meng, Li Yi Fei and the others discussed how to negotiate with Meng Ting before they left.

All of them agreed for Meng Yi De to call Meng Ting. He was his father after all. Even if he did not raise Meng Ting, he still birthed him. Generally speaking, Meng Ting would not refuse his biological father's request. Meng Yi De took out his phone and was surprised with the fact that he did not have Meng Ting's phone number saved in his phone.

He asked for Yan's old mansion number from Uncle Wen before calling it.

The phone in Yan's living room was basically a decoration. Nanny Wang and Uncle Xiao occasionally used it, but if there's an emergency, they would directly call their mobile phone.

"Ring ring", the phone suddenly rang and Rhubarb who was laying beside Meng Ting suddenly barked out of shock.

Furball gently meow too.

Meng Ting was sitting in the living room and watching television with Furball in his arms. He was taken aback by the ringing too because his attention was solely on the television. Yan Sui had just returned to his study just now. Nanny Wang and Uncle Xiao were not in the living room either and the other servants were back in their room.

Meng Ting first comforted Rhubarb before answering the phone.

"Hello?"

"I'm looking for Meng Ting, your madam." Meng Yi De did not recognize Meng Ting's voice, and he sounded agitated. After all, he was considered as Meng Ting's elder, and also felt ashamed for asking a favour.

"This is him. Who are you?" Meng Ting's voice remained unchanged, he too did not recognize the voice on the other side.

"I'm your father." Meng Yi De said, as he realized his tone was a bit too forced. He walked towards the garden with the phone and he looked a little dazed. Meng Yi De suddenly remembered Yu Mei Xuan, the woman who had loved him wholeheartedly.

To be honest, Meng Ting looked nothing like Yu Mei Xuan and Meng Yi De. He was just a product of their feelings, but when Meng Yi De remembered this, his mood naturally fluctuated.

Meng Ting said nothing, Meng Yi De continued to speak after a while.

"I heard about what happened at Gu's residence... Meng Xiao will get the punishment he deserves, but I hope Yan Sui won't misunderstand the Meng's family. You are one of us after all... If something happened to us, you......"

Before he finished speaking, the other end suddenly barked fiercely...

Meng Yi De was dumbfounded, "Meng Ting?"

"Bark bark!"

"Meng Ting, where did you place your phone?"

"Bark bark bark!"

"Good Rhubarb, don't bark anymore. He doesn't understand you."

"Bark bark bark!"

Then there were voices in the background. Meng Yi De was angry and suddenly, someone came back to the phone.

"Hello."

"Meng Ting, what are you doing."

"Mr Meng is it?" Yan Sui looked as the corner of Meng Ting's mouth rose, then reached out to pat Rhubarb's head.

Rhubarb snored and finally stopped barking. It always barked when it got scared by the voice from the telephone. As Meng Yi De's became fiercer with his tone, Rhubarb too barked even louder.

"Mr Yan....." Meng Yi De would never expect that a phone call would test his patience, in an instant he could not soften his tone.

"Why are you looking for Meng Ting?" Yan Sui watched as Meng Ting sat down on the sofa with him, and he automatically leaned on his shoulder.

Meng Ting looked at Yan Sui, although he was smiling, his voice was really cold. He took the chance and kissed Yan Sui's cheek, trying his best to not make any sound.

Yan Sui stopped patting Rhubarb anymore. He hugged Meng Ting and continued the call with this gesture.

"No... Yes, I suddenly remembered that I didn't even have Meng Ting's phone number. I haven't contacted him in such a long time, so I call to check up on him."

"Didn't Mr Meng know yet? Meng Xiao drugged Meng Ting, he need to rest for a few days."

Yan Sui's voice remained unfriendly as Meng Yi De was sweating on the other side. Yan Sui then continued, "Mr Meng called to give an explanation to me and Meng Ting? I'm listening."

Meng Yi De was sweating even more as he did not have an explanation for them. He mumbled softly under his breath and it was his first time facing the wrath of Yan Sui, the head of Yan's family too. Meng Yi De could not bear it anymore, he just wanted to end the call as soon as possible.

"By the way, Meng Ting needs some rest. Call me directly on my phone if Mr Meng need something."

"Oh.... Okay."

Yan Sui placed the phone back and Meng Ting came closer to kiss him on his lips with a smile in his eyes. It felt nice to piss someone off together.

"I did it on purpose just now." Meng Ting said as he gave Rhubarb the phone to play with and then snuggled against Yan Sui.

"Well, I did it on purpose too by scaring him." Yan Sui answered him before pulling Meng Ting by the back of his neck and gave him a deep, wet and sweet kiss to him.
