Earth was formed over the course of thousands of years worth of rocks accumulating. Debris from a moon forging a planet that would one day spawn creatures that would slaughter and maim for irrelevancies.
But what are thousands of years to a god if not a week? To a god a thousand years is no more different than how we view Monday and Tuesday.
And thus the lord spoke "Time is an irrelevancy! From hence forth thou shalt measure the passage of moons and suns using shadows and stripes of blood on the walls of your caves!"
And his Acolytes spawned from the before whooped and cheered.
And thus man praised the lord and worshipped him as they worshipped the moon and stars. They drew blood and painted unto the cave walls stripes to mark the passage of time.
And it was good.
