smith walked down the sterile hallway towards zayns hospital room. her breathing increased drastically as she stood outside his door.
walking in, seeing him lay there with bled through bandages wrapped around his arms- she felt like she was dying inside.
"smith?" he said looking at her. he felt so bad. so fucking bad.
"zayn." her voice cracked, and just hearing herself so weak made her break down.
she fell to her knees right where she stood and sobs wreaked their way through her body.
"i thought i lost you" she sobbed through her sentence.
even though he wasn't supposed to, he stood up from his bed and slowly made his way to the love of his sad fucking life.
he kneeled down in front of her, and intertwined their fingers.
they looked down at their hands, admiring how perfectly they fit together, trying their hardest not to look at his bandaged wrists.
by now her sobs turned into a slow flow of tears, and when his eyes finally met hers-
"i'm sorry." he whispered.
