Luna walked up to the doorstep of Asher's house, pressing her finger against the doorbell and repeatedly pressing the button. Harold swung the door open, giving the teen an irritated expression once he spotted her.

She waved the manilla folder that Peter had asked for her to deliver to their house in his face, clearly working his last nerve. But, she didn't care because annoying Harold was Luna's favorite pastime since she was a child and he just took it because he knew there was absolutely no stopping her.

They entered the kitchen where Asher was talking on the phone and once he spotted the two he quickly hung up the phone in a rushed manner, alerting both of their attentions.

Luna raised her eyebrow. "Who was on the phone, Ash?"

"What's in the envelope, Luna?" Asher challenged, eyeing the envelope in her hand.

"It's for your dad," she scoffed, sliding it over the countertop and over to his dad. "It's from Peter."

"Hopefully, it's the good news I was telling you about," Harold glanced at his son with a wide smile. "I don't want to jinx anything but hopefully this will work out."

"That's great, dad," Asher smiled.

"Wonderful," Luna commented. "Come on, Ash. Let's go to school."

Before Asher could follow after her, Harold's voice stopped them in their tracks. "So...who was on the phone?"

"Mom," Asher confessed. "I was surprised to hear from her. It's been, like, a year. She asked to meet for lunch tomorrow. Said she had something important she wanted to talk to me about."

"Well, I guess everyone has big news," Harold kept a stoic expression on his face. "Luna, any news you have to share?"

"Why do you people involve me?" she scoffed. "Goodbye, Harold."

She sent him an irritated look before throwing her arm around Asher's shoulder and guiding him out of the house and over to her car that was parked on their driveway.

"Will you come with me?" Asher asked. "To see my mom."

"Oh..." she grimaced. "No. Sorry, Ash. That's not my thing. But, you know who you should ask?"

"Who?" he stared curiously over at her.

"Liv," she shrugged. "She always gives great advice and she knows how to console someone after they get bad news. Not saying that this meeting with your mom will go bad. Plus, you like her."

"I do not!" Asher argued.

"You like Olivia," Luna nodded, pulling into a parking space at school. "And my best friend is single and she may or may not like you."

"Wait..." Asher paused. "She likes me?"

Luna mimicked a zipping gesture to her lips, grabbed her backpack from the backseat, and left him alone by her car as she entered the school halls.

"You know, I could've picked you up, right?"

Luna glanced at Jordan through squinted eyes as he twirled around Liv's car keys around his fingers. He had picked her up from his house after the barbecue that his sister bribed him into going and told her that they were going on a date at the pier.

"I know," Jordan shrugged. "But, I didn't want to have to be picked up and dropped off by my girlfriend. Especially, when this date was my idea."

"Girlfriend?" she hummed, softly pinching his cheek. "Still not over that."

Jordan slipped his arm around her waist and pulled her closer to his side, pressing a soft kiss to her cheek. "Me neither."

"Alright," she clapped her hands together and jumped on the tips of her toes. "Where to next?"

"You choose. We can either eat," he pointed at the row of carnival foods that lined up the pier. "Or we can go on another ride?"

"How about another ride?" she suggested with hopeful eyes. "Then we can eat, please?"

"Whatever you want, sweetheart," Jordan agreed. "Since this is our last ride, what do you say we get a little romantic and ride the ferris wheel?"

She nodded, clutching the stuffed bear to her chest that he had won for her at one of the booths they were previously at. She couldn't help but blush a little at how romantic he had been all throughout the night. They strode over to the ferris wheel, Jordan handed over the tickets to the attendant who then let them onto the ride.

"Hey, Jordan?" she glanced up at him as the ride started up. "Thank you."

He pinched his eyebrows together. "For what?"

"This is just a really nice date," she confessed. "I've never been one for dating or any of that. But, you...you've made tonight special."

"I've been waiting for you to notice me since before I even knew what a crush was," Jordan scoffed. "I guess you can say it's been a long time coming."

She glanced around at her surroundings, noticing they were finally hitting the top of the ride. "Well not to be a total cliche but since we're at the top...I'm gonna kiss you, now."

Jordan blushed as she pulled his face in between her warm hands and leaned in. Softly placing her lips on his before fully engaging in the kiss, Jordan ran his tongue over her bottom lip, making her gape her mouth open a bit for him.

Jordan pulled away, slightly flustered as the ride stopped. "Ten-year-old Jordan is so proud."

"You never made a move on me." She let out a scoff, slipping her hand into his. "It is so not my fault."

"So me knowing your favorite foods, your favorite flower, and constantly wanting to be around you...there was no indication that I liked you?" He raised his eyebrow at her. "Seriously?"

"I guess not. I always thought you knew all those things because of how much time I spent at your house hanging out with Liv," she shrugged. "Also, no offense, but you were a total manwhore."

"Whatever," Jordan rolled his eyes. "Do you want food?"

"Can you get me cotton candy?" she pleaded. "Please?"

"That's not real food," he deadpanned. "But whatever you want, babe."

He pulled her in the direction of the booth where they were selling bags of cotton candy and pulled some money out, buying her two bags. Which made her smile in content as she clutched the bags of floss, practically throwing the stuffed animal in his face so she could carry her other items.

"I actually have to get home soon," he winced. "Do you mind if we get going?"

She nodded through a mouthful of cotton candy. He let out a laugh, guiding her back over to the parking lot where the car was at. Jordan's hand had immediately found its way to her inner thigh and drew circles on it.

"So, you know you can be brutally honest with me, right?" Jordan glanced at her. "Did you actually enjoy yourself, tonight?"

"I promise," she giggled. "Tonight was amazing, Jordan."

He nodded towards his phone. "Hey, can you check to see if Liv texted?"

Luna nodded setting aside her own phone as she picked his up to check his notifications. But, then, Jordan had hit a speed bump making her drop his phone in between the crack of the seat cushion. His face fell once he heard the thud and she gave him a sheepish grin as she attempted to look for it.

Jordan had attempted to look for it as well as he moved his hand from her thigh and over to the crack of the seat, despite Luna's protests not to. She knew that him keeping his eyes off of the road was a bad idea once she felt the car swerve a bit. And before they knew it, they were headed straight for a fence.

Jordan glanced over at his girlfriend, frantically. "Are you okay?"

"Fine," she breathed out. "You?"

"My mom's gonna kill me," Jordan mumbled.

"And then she's gonna kill me!" Luna stared blankly at the dashboard. "Oh, God...Liv's car!"

Jordan and Luna had eventually moved out of the car and onto the sidewalk. Mrs. Baker had driven over after receiving a text from her son and was extremely upset. So upset that she didn't bother looking at Luna who remained on the curb waiting for her stepdad who Mrs. Baker had called right after receiving the message from Jordan.

"Do I need to take you to the hospital?" Peter asked.

"No," she scoffed. "I'm fine. Completely fine. It was an accident. Jordan took his eyes off of the road for like, 2 seconds and...boom."

"You are so lucky your mother's at work," Peter stressed. "Nobody needs an angry Maria Adams."

Luna shrugged, apologetically. "Sorry."
