sadness is very sudden; but so consuming. everything could be perfectly fine; then it hits you, like a tone of bricks. at the randomness of times. you're taking a shower, getting ready for your day and all of a sudden—sadness. it was the smell of the soap. the way the suds ran over my body. it reminded me of the shower I took after the first time we fucked. just how at peace I felt. how happy I was. now I'm in the shower crying. that's sadness. my sadness. memories of us. memories of you. suddenly invading my mind without my permission.
