Ayanokōji Kiyotaka shifted uncomfortably in his bed as flashes of light penetrated his sleepy eyes. beside him was a beautiful woman sleeping peacefully unaffected by the flashes of light. That woman was none other than his wife Ayanokōji Kei.
Kiyotaka languidly searched for the source of light that was obviously directed towards him. By the intensity of the light, he was able to conclude that it was a flashlight beam furthermore it was switched on and off in a repeated pattern.
To an untrained eye, this would seem normal however Kiyotaka immediately realized it was a morse code and translated it.
'ARGOS-4 get up'
the sleepy man immediately jolted up just like how he did when a certain friend of his took a compass and..... let's not get into that.
With rapt attention, he looked over at the clock which read 2:00 am.
'i guess its about time'
He slowly got out of his bed to make sure his wife wouldn't wake up. that's the last thing he wanted to see.
Slowly he made his way out of his room and looked over to the person who called him out. A tiny figure hooded under a blanket slowly looked up to him revealing the face of a cute nine-year-old girl with dazzling brown eyes and blonde hair.
( ALL HAIL UMARU-CHAN )
"Papa you slob! how can you forget about the mission" yelled the small girl pouting?
"Oh... sorry commander, I won't repeat it" apologized the man with a monotone voice while giving her a salute.
Ayanokōji Kiyoko was visibly frustrated by her father's negligence. However, she immediately focused on the mission at hand. She slid her pocketbook into her back pocket. It contained all sorts of secret codes from ROT1 to hexadecimal given to her by her father.
From her backpack, she took out two torchlights. The two torchlights were clearly for different people, a big torchlight having a handle clearly meant for adults while the other torch was small and had a Unicorn design. She gave him the Unicorn one and began the mission.
'you could have given me the bigger one' complained Kiyo but found his daughter's antics cute.
Together the duo made their way downstairs. Kiyoko led the way followed by Kiyotaka who made sure to be as quiet as Ike was when he was peeking into the girls changing room.
What he and his daughter were doing was something clearly forbidden in the Ayanokōji household. However, he knew the reward was worth the risk so he had to make sure no matter what his wife doesn't wake up.
'i have to put all my years of stealth training to use. You got this Kiyo you got th-'
"tun tun tu tu tun tun tu tu"
"Kiyoko, why are you humming the mission impossible soundtrack?"
"Cause it gives +10 sneak pts"
"oh...let me sing as well"
both father and daughter hummed as they made their way towards the room where the 'secret package' was hidden. Kiyotaka had already drugged their pet dog guarding the room to make sure it won't hinder them during their mission.
"sorry Pes but sacrifices had to be made," said Kiyoko while patting the sleeping dog
the duo went farther into the room until a large rectangular box stood in front of them
"Argos-4 we have arrived at the vault." (It's a refrigerator)
"Do you know the password for opening it?" asked Kiyotaka
"don't worry papa check this out" she said cheekily as she flashed UV light on the dial-pad which revealed glowing fingertips on the digits.
'where on earth did she find strontium aluminate in this house' Kiyotaka wondered but let it slide
"fufu I fooled mama into opening the vault(it's a refrigerator)while I smeared glowing powder on it." she said with a villainous giggle she picked up from Arisu Oba-chan.
"Alright let's get to work ARGOS-4!" Kiyoko said in a hushed but enthusiastic tone. Kiyotaka lifted her and placed her on top of his shoulder where she could reach the dial-pad.
she immediately started taking down the numbers to make the correct pattern.
Kiyotaka briefly examined the dial pad and checked the possible combinations.
'It's a 4-digit code with 10 possible numbers with repetition so there are about 10^4 different combinations possible however the dial pad show's only four digits marked which are 0,2,5,8 which means there is no repetition. therefore the number of possible combinations with these four digits would be twenty-four. However, considering Kei's personality it is easy to guess what the combination could be. hmm.....she made it after our birthdays...8th March, 20th October, and finally 5th December. I could unlock it if I try these numbers, however..'
Kiyo glanced at Kiyoko who was determined to solve the puzzle on her own. She was hanging onto his shoulder like a baby koala would hang onto a tree and reach out for an apple.
'Damn my daughter is so cute' he thought as he left his daughter to it.
5 Minutes Later
"Papa Papa it's open! The vault's (it's a refrigerator) open!!" Kiyoko yelled while pulling onto Kiyotaka's hair
Both of them were anxiously waiting to lay their eyes on the 'secret package'
Kiyoko slowly opened the freezer feeling a gust of cold wind brushing past her.
Both she and her father were awe-struck by what they saw in front of them. It was a holy object for them, something they both treated with reverence.
It was "Albert's 100 % natural vanilla ice cream with 10% added flavor deluxe edition" the world-famous ice cream owned by the half American half Asian Yamada Albert. ( halfblood don't you dare)
Both of them gulped at the sight there was nothing that could stop them. The father and daughter pair were about to ravage the ice cream when-
"hoo~ looks like we have two rats in the kitchen"
Ms. Ayanokoji switched on the lights and smiled at the pair of ice cream thieves who were scared shitless. Her smile grew intense upon watching how both of them even though they were scared had an expressionless face which was their defense mechanism.
Kiyotaka was about to take a scope secretly only when.
"Stop right there daddy dearest"
"what is it Kei the apple of my eye?"
"would you mind putting the ice cream back"
"sure thing," Kiyotaka said while silently clicking his tongue.
"and you little princess"
"yes my honored mother?"
"no ice cream for an entire week" those words were enough to break the little girl's heart
"But mama that's not fair" the little girl yelled
"and so is drugging pes" Retorted Kei with a disgusted look on her face
"It wasn't me it was papa"
"Kei I have no idea what this girl is saying," said Kiyotaka while putting his daughter down and surrendering to his wife.
"enough you two" Kei yelled at them in a commanding tone. Both of them realized there was nothing they could do.
"it's punishment time!" Kei said while grabbing an eggplant out of nowhere.
"no mama please don't!" Kiyoko yelled and started to make her escape.
"Kiyotaka stop her and I will forgive you," said Kei and Kiyotaka immediately caught the fleeing girl
"papa you traitor how could you do this" Kiyoko yelled imploring her father to let her go
"sorry Kiyoko but all people are nothing but tools"
Kiyoko was now cornered by Kei, she had nowhere to go. Her partner who she trusted the most had betrayed her and she couldn't even eat her favorite Albert's ice cream deluxe.
Big drops of tears started drooping down her small face. Kiyo and Kei were taken aback by their daughter's silent wailing.
"papa an- andd mama are so-soo mmeannn wahh!" The couple felt bad while looking at the tiny girl crying as if her entire world was destroyed which undoubtedly was.
"sigh" Kei walked up to her daughter and picked her up.
"Listen here Kiyoko, the reason I scold you is that I am worried about your health. even you know eating ice cream every day is bad for you right?"
"but Albert ojisan gave those for me to eat.....I really want to have some pwease" Kiyoko said with glittering eyes which even someone as inhuman as professor Ayanokoji couldn't refuse.
"Fine but only one scoop," Kei said finally giving up
"Thanks mama I luv wu sooo much," Kiyoko said while hugging her mother
Kiyotaka was silently looking at the warm scene unfolding in front of him. Honestly, when Kiyoko was born he didn't know a single thing about parenting. He knew the least minimum he could do was not be like his father and give her freedom. Kiyotaka didn't know how to approach his own child so he decided he would just leave her alone even if it meant she wouldn't be close with her father. However much to his surprise, Kiyoko was the one who always stuck to him and never left him alone. They both formed an odd pair together and even though they didn't show it, they loved each other a lot.
'From the bottom of my heart, I will do anything to protect my family' thought Kiyotaka while looking at the two of them in front of him
"So Kei can I also have some ice cr-" before he could even finish his sentence Kei and Kiyoko both glared at him.

This is my first fanfic so I really hope all you peeps liked it!
And if there are any cultured individuals reading then you must have noticed few easter eggs which I have dropped randomly which I will reveal next chapter.
Also an important question. Who should be Ryueen's wife in this fic. Should it be Ibuki, Arisu, or Shiina? I will decide from what you guys think.
