I just had to keep telling myself to breathe as I walked into school.
It was amazing getting noticed.
Walking past the office, seeing Jay signing all his papers and getting his schedule made me smile. I guess I was standing there a bit too long, he turned with this papers and walked out the door smiling at me.
"Hey gorgeous, I'm Jay Hendrix." He said loud enough for passing students to hear he was introducing himself to me.
"I'm Halle Hart, nice to meet you Jay. Where'd you tranferr from?"
"New York City baby, was getting into too much trouble so my mom sent me out here to live with cousins. Not that it's gonna make a difference. Still gonna get into trouble no matter where I go."
I couldn't help but grin just then. "Oh ya? So you're a bad boy huh?"
"Oh ya...so Halle Hart can I have your number? Maybe hook up sometime outside of this hell hole and chill?"
Scribbling down just jibberish, since he already had my number. I ripped the piece of paper out of my notebook and gave it to him. I could hear groans from girls who Jay and I both knew wanted him already.
"Maybe I'll see you in class" I turned and walked away swaying my hips a bit. Had to put on the best show I could.
I met Alanna in history class.
The last bell rang and Mr. Henderson was about to start class when the door opened. Jay walked in.
I am sooo gonna steal this from Greys Anatomy but he is McDreamy...or should he be McSteamy? I'd have to figure that out later. Seriously.
He ventured to the seat behind me and whispered, "Wanna do something tonight?"
Gabrielle, the girl who sat in the seat next to him turned our way, eavesdropping on our conversation.
"Maybe, depends on if you call me later" I Winked at him and turned back around faceing Mr. Henderson. The lecture was very boring. School had never been boring to me. I had always been up to learning so many new things but today was just so exciting nothing could have topped it.
I was sooo wrong.
After class, my ex Conner came up to me "Damn Hal you lookin fine, can I take you out tonight?"
"Conner we've been over for a year now. I think I'm good on that. Besides I have a date."
"Oh ya? With who?" He looked pissed. I tried to hard not to laugh.
"What's it to you?"
"Just want to know babe, I want to get you back Hal. I guess I just thought that you know, you were just the smartsy girl and didn't wanna have fun. Guess you proved me wrong babe."
"Conner, Number 1 I'm not your 'babe', Number 2 I'm not interested in getting anywhere with you. Number 3 you can watch my ass as I'm walkin away" I turned on a heel, afraid I was going to slip and make a fool out of myself. To my relief I didn't.
Walking away from him was hard. He's the one I fell hardest for. Even though he wasn't my first love, it still hurt, thought we had a huge connection. Both liked the same things. I was just more book smart than he could handle. Plus he didn't stay with one chick for long.

Damn, I didn't think that girl Halle would be so damn hot! I'm a player. I get what I want when I want and that's how I liked it.
After my first class I saw Halle talkin to some jock looking dude. Heard the whole conversation. I liked her spunk. She just needed to open up a bit more.
I could tell she was trying a bit too hard. But to others no one could catch it. Besides Alanna.
"Hey cuz" I turned and saw Alanna coming up to me.
"Hey, I'm a bit early. Couldn't help it. Back home is so fucking boring I just couldn't take it anymore." She laughed at me.
"Yeah for being New York it's pretty lame anymore. Nothing but the same old same old. So what'd you think of my new girl?"
"Hott!!! And I can tell this is gonna be fun. I could use a little fun. Any ideas where the locals hang out to party?"
"HAHA yeah, wait til you see what a dump it is. The bowling alley off bakers street. Meet me at my house later and I'll have your babe ready for you."
"No prob cuz" I left for my next class. Not that I'd do any of the work anyhow.
Sat down in Biology in the way back, can't stand to be around the geeks who sit in the front. Plus liked to observe my surroundings. Watch people. I pulled out my cell and texted Halle. Went something like this,
Me: "What you doin?"
Halle : "In spanish, what class you in?"
Me: "Bio with some old dude that smells like bologna and bengay, so we going to the bowling alley tonight. Alanna's gonna put you in something hott."
Halle: "Sounds good. I got asked out by an ex and I'm pretty sure he and his minions will be there along with pretty much everyone who wants to be in the 'in' crowd"
Me: "Fuck that dude. I'll get him back for you so good baby he won't even know why the hell he left you in the first place. Right now he just wants you casue you're smokin hot. If any guy would disagree he'd have to be blind as a mother fuckin bat"
Halle: " :) Thanks. You're not too bad yourself there Jay."
Me: "Don't gotta tell me twice babe. Took me a couple heartbreaks myself to be where I am now. Alanna calls me Jay cause I'm literally her cousin. But I like my name Jayson."
Halle: "OK Jayson. I like that better too. Makes you seem even hotter :)"
The bell rang. Class was over and the rest of the day dragged on. Couldn't wait to get into some trouble.
